This is just this week from March 23rd to today March 30th. They have shown up many times before this week sporadically on my pageviews page.
Why me?
If you cannot make it out you can tap on it twice to enlarge it, but it says that this week so far alone Russia has read my blogs 1033 times already, not just one but many, mostly back tracking to around the days of the election.
Maybe now you will believe my concern with not being too negative when I write, ha!
I know, yes I do know that I have been, but no more than most of you!
And I will NOT name any names, do not worry, kidding of course!
But they would NOT do anything, i.e. except what they are already doing, monitoring us.
Didn't they just insist that they haven't been doing that, hmm?
Well, here's proof that they have lied!

Bad day in my neighborhood of health.
Left sided shoulder pain with sporadic left sided chest pain, and yesterday I even had to wear my soft collared neck brace due to my cervical stenosis acting up or not?
Oddly enough four days ago my chronic care nurse who calls monthly had called Monday while we were at the pulmonologist's office and left a message to call her back if I needed anything.
This one is a RN, the last was not so I thought I would run my symptoms pass her with her having all my actual maladies on record, but she was also on the fence on what to do.
Only because while talking to her we took my blood pressure and it was oddly more normal than usual.
I do have angina and diastolic dysfunction and they both were on my laundry list of medical issues.
But neither have been treated with medication.
She questioned me about taking nitroglycerin and I said no, but I recalled my father's older sister, Rose, had had that for her angina, and I asked, "they still use that?" Now if my Dad was still alive he would be 110, and this was HIS older sister and I was a mere child when I heard them mentioned it, Dad was forty-three when I was born. Carla the nurse said yes, and I said, "I guess if not broke why fix/change it!"
But why wasn't I given any?
I forgot to ask that very important question, for shame.
Her final words to me was if it gets worse or doesn't go away to go to the hospital to be checked
out! I promised I would, but meanwhile...
I said I would treat my shoulder as if a muscular issue, with an ice pack, actually two, one under my arm and one in back under what we call our wing, and since I was also acquiring a headache I would have another cup of REAL COFFEE, that I have been back on since twelve 0'five A.M. of March 19th; five months after my surgery!
Caffeine helps with my diastolic pressure too, normalizing my mostly way too low!
So far my left shoulder has not improved and I am flummoxed on what could have caused this?
No PT or independent exercise for weeks, so no exertion of those particular muscle groups.

Ya know something folks...

...I'm still waiting for some answers on how to stop and make him desist from mostly Tweeting, since he thankfully hasn't been able to do anything, except threaten all of us... see folks checks and balances tempered with a few /many more with common sense stopping him to cause the ruination of our country; he doesn't have his way so far  Mr.. T. AKA Orange Frothy Haired Guy AKA Pres.. DJ?
But Geez, so far he hasn't been gaining too much traction/ground, health care his way, not yet anyway, the wall dead in the dusty dirt/water, is it only us that can see that it is an illogical waste of money time and everything else to encourage more hatred in this world... he knows nothing on how to attain another of his desires that being to systematically ruin the EPA's milestones over these last several years that has been gained so much good changes during the Obama administration. This new guy is living in an alternate reality plane thinking he can bring back "clean" coal????????? I suppose that goes along with "clean" black lung disease and clean black sooty air ... HE IS SO SCARY THAT HE GOT SO FAR WITH ALL HIS IGNORANCE HANGING OUT IN PLAIN SIGHT!
Sporadically, we can only hope, his GOP cohorts are seeing through him and appear to be slowly going through a true reality check of just what they got themselves into, and are scrambling on how to fix it!
SANITY PREVAIL PLEASE!

I am still waiting on finding out what I personally can do, please tell me and I will do whatever you have found to work.
Whenever I call my representative his voice mail is full.

Today was a weird kinda day, Hubby and I were both freezing with the thermostat set on 77 degrees Fahrenheit and we thought it to be ridiculous to change over to heat! Neither of us had a fever, what we both had was sub-par temperatures, meaning a point or more less than the 98.6 norm, Hubby's was 97.8 and mine was  97.3. I am and have been for years on hypothyroid medication due to that ailment too, but what I read said that it could mean that we are both a bit anemic too. I know I am, but Hubby was told he recently was fine. You see, every six months they have us going in for CBC etc. blood work, because we both are on medications that have to be monitored.
I have been not doing too much either today due to feeling weak, so I have been in bed too much and that doesn't help your body warm up.
Now I have hiccups!
A bit funny, if not so annoying!
Of course outside it was 88 degrees, a wee bit too hot for even southwest Florida in March should be in the low eighties, but we are indoors in air-conditioning with paddle fans too, our own self-contained temperate climate!

On the brighter side us 3.5 million in our state of Florida that are registered non-partisans voters and have been not allowed to vote in the primaries are finally being heard to change that, since  a commission is trying to do that for all of us; it's about time!

Getting excited!

Then comes the reality check, previously depressing, but not this time!( I hope!)
Yes, a new idea in treatment for Multiple sclerosis.
Out of Columbus Ohio an IV medication given every six months only is becoming approved today!

"A Dr. Racke a neurologist at Ohio Sate University's Wexner Medical Center has been working on it,
and so along came a drug called ocrelizumab.
It's Racke's magic wand.
The drug, expected to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration today, has been shown to halt the disease in patients with both relapsing MS and primary progressive MS"

AMAZING!
Many drugs have been able to slow/ lessen relapses previously, but stopping them entirely is oh so wonderful!
Sign me up!

In case anyone was wondering how I spend my days when not going hither and yon, to museums, festivals antiquing, shopping etc. or  while at home crafting, creating recipes and projects, doing laundry or cleaning or asking Hubby to do renovations or garden, all things that I used to do too or bingeing on Netflix or watching General Hospital or the news stations, reading all the newspapers online or writing this blog nightly etc, probably many more, but my guiltiest of all pleasures are home decorating sites! Houzz, Apartment Therapy (we do live in a private home, but their ideas are lovely for our small cottage style/sized home!), Better Homes and Gardens online, I get that magazine too, as well as Coastal Living and Southern Living online and mags too, This Old House on PBS and mag too, any DIY shows etc.! Before and after's are the best! I love them all!

Escapism to view!

Frankie and Grace's season three was released to Netflix last Friday, a five out of five star quality show with an amazing cast, Lilly Tomlin, Jane Fonda as well as Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, are the main leads and I am very proud to say that I binged watched all of the third seasons' episodes in between our well travelled weekend!
And today, the second season of Better Call Saul was released, also a five star show and on Netflix, the spinoff from Breaking Bad and excellent too!
Both shows are quite enjoyable, but for adult audiences due to adult content.

I am tempering those wild ride ones with me continuing with the very engaging Murdoch Mysteries; a mere four stars show, a rated, maybe PG show, but nothing racy there, okay a teensy weensy bit of innuendo but nothing more, and the PG rating is by yours truly due to the crimes all being murders.
Big kids might like it due to the inventions and history portions, set in the Victorian era in Toronto Canada as well as it being the days of Bram Stoker, H.G. Welles and Arthur Conan Doyle, which I love too!

Any-who, we did leave our dwelling today.
I had my six month pulmonologist appointment.
He is less than two miles from here, our home.
And he is an excellent doctor in his field, Manish Kapadia M.D. pulmonologist, educated in India and his residency was in Albany New York.
Young, only forty-five, and speaks to you the patient, not down to you. We actually had a very nice conversation about the medical insurance programs and all the problems and how in impoverished countries people are treated for their ills without any charge.
I also was told my oxygen levels were 99% out 100%, and I am doing well on my asthma medications, but even though I am on Spiriva and an emergency inhaler too, now he gave me a fourteen day sample of Breo Ellipta, that is more like the Anoro Ellipta that I had been on, and now I have to see if it is on PAN's list for coverage; the non-profit that helps pay for my co-pay of over four hundred dollars for a ninety day supply; it is online so I will check. Meanwhile Advair is another possibility, but that is twice a day and Breo is only once. I am doing well on the medication, and no asthma does not go away, I wish. My next six month visit I will be having another breathing test then.

He also had my CPAP info, for my sleep apnea, sent down from the cloud/cyberspace, and the original sleep doctor his info they are still waiting on, and he will now be taking care of that for me too!
And that too does not go away or diminish, darn it.
Two reasons I was happy that I was tested is because sleep apnea can be responsible for strokes and my parents as well as my brother all died of strokes, and my asthma was caused by allergies, not smoking and being controlled is very important too.
Many people with Multiple sclerosis like myself can live a normal life span that is unless they have an undiagnosed breathing issue, and mine have been diagnosed and are being treated!
See folks that hate doctors and refused to go, you should if you want to live a normal life span!

After there we went over to the Panda Inn that is on the same access road as the doctor's, it is a Chinese buffet and we had been going there for years until recently. Several years ago when I was still using my walker there their isles appeared to be too narrow for me to maneuver without bumping into people and so we stopped going there. But today Hubby thought we could try, and he did reconnaissance to see if my new ride would fit through their areas now. His report was a positive yes! And so we ate there for many choices including dessert for only $14.98 plus tax for two! They make money on my small amounts of what I eat, but Hubby makes up for me, ha, and that's the way I like it, unhuh, unhuh..., unhuh!
We used to take company there and since we loved it so much they would buy us coupons for additional meals there, how lovely that was!

Then, our next stop was to get gas at Sam's Club at 2.18.9 a gallon, the cheapest around! Then lastly to Walmart for coffee, olive oil and Miralax equate, and a few other non perishables.
And home again!

That was our pleasant day of necessary accomplishments.

We, Hubby and I did go out and left our palatial manor once more today and ventured out to the Arts Festival in Punta Gorda Florida, after another lunch at home. The Arts Festival was smaller this year than previous years, and they were in a perking(yes it was hot there, ha)/parking lot off of Marion, adjacent to our favorite Punta Gorda restaurant these days Jacks on Marion. There was another Seafood Festival at Laishley Park where the arts festival usually is, and where the Viet Nam Memorial is as well as the CrabHouse, both of them always are there.

Unfortunately, the signs were plentiful this year at the artist booths for not allowing pictures being taken and so of course I did not... oh well!
Since they are all original art pieces I imagine there is fear of people stealing their ideas, and so I did understand.
These events rarely coincide, but this year they did.

So we decided to go over to Fishville AKA Fisherman's Village, and as you entered there was a sight to behold...Annie and Maggie greeted us as we arrived! They are barn owls with very sad back stories, Annie is blind due to cataracts and Maggie has a damaged wing. So it is very good that they reside at the Peace River Wildlife Center, and if you would like to help care for them the information is provided below, they really could use your help!

That white version of our Connie Cashmere Caravan is not us, perhaps a distant cousin?! Many, we have found, roam the highways and byways wherever we seem to

 Any-who, we again took our furry son out for a local park visit. He is so far doing very nicely with his re-entry into a socializing atmosphere, going nose to nose with his kind, other furry canines, and even welcoming two-legged humanoid erectus species with a wag of his tail a sniff and in some cases a slobbery smooch!

This is a look at the fishing pier on this side of the harbor.

 All waterside parks in county have them as far as I know. Below is the pickle ball court.

The notice below is due to the renovations being done to the park and the portion that is closed off right now but is set to be completed by this coming December. And I am not sure if they will be leaving the facilities I showed you or will also renew and refresh them as well. In the distance you can see that they have left one of their very fine pavilions for picnicking, it does appear to be salvaged. The statue below is once again Ponce De Leon who discovered Florida in the 1500's.

Hubby with Gus trying to help with the drought issue, ha! Did I write that out loud? Oh well!

Had my dermatologist appointment today, recently scheduled due to a rash from perspiration thus the other reason of not going to independent exercise!
I have two medications that are strong topical steroids 2.5%!
My ear one is only 1% and chronic.
Since the doctor's office is local and my appointment was for after lunch we ate at home.
But did some errands after.
Bed Bath and Beyond for cheap cashews that Hubby loves, well not that cheap, fifteen bucks but we had a five dollar off coupon and more dish towels for our kitchen, ten bucks for five with 20% off!
Then on to Target for baskets for the top shelf in my closet to take all my purses and give them a neater home. They had plastic woven like wicker ones in a pastel teal and so I took four to fill, at about eight bucks a piece they were a better deal than the wicker ones and if later I want to use them in my bathroom the teal is more like a sea-mist and will go well with the accessories in that Victorian pedestal white sink and as well as other white fixtures in that cottage style bathroom.

Meanwhile, they will be just right for my closet shelf.
They did have a darker teal, but had only two left.

That's all for tonight, sleep well all and breathe easier with one less thing to worry about... and now we know it does work to contact our representatives!
