It is with a heavy heart and much sadness that we have decided to...

...DUMP OUR RAIN BARRELS! One hundred and ten gallons of clean rain water in our gardens that now has been used on them and turned over to never be filled again! Unless...read on, the below described problem is resolved that is...
And no, no standing water police came out to shout at us.
Besides the fact that we have had vegetable oil floating on the surface to prevent eggs being laid as the environmental department at the university had taught us when our concerns years ago were just, but not as dangerous to maintain or heaven forbid to forget.
ZIKA has made us all VERY concerned, which in many cases can be blamed on the mosquito of the Aedes aegypti name, about seventy cases have been recorded throughout our state.
Although, most can be attributed to acquirement by people who had travelled to countries where the infestations are at dangerous levels.
Our own state of Florida has not claimed of having been any cause of the origins yet for these cases; albeit I think that now a couple have been proven to have been transmitted via sexual contact of previously infected people elsewhere.
I truly believe this article is beneficial to people all over the world! Please read the link below.
http://www.accuweather.com/en/features/trend/risk_of_zika_infection_is_low/56047273

In the above CDC, Center for Disease Control in Atlanta Georgia United States of America, article it appears that the mosquito and therefore the virus is most prevalent in elevations of less than 6,500 feet.

The main reasoning for our concern is the young couple living next door to us, they have one small youngster and are both of that age of possibly conceiving another one, and no we have not told them anything, but I did ask Hubby to do it thinking of the horrid possibilities if anything happened.

In truth due to feral cats for the last couple of years we have not had a veggie garden, and our other gardens of flowers and trees are not water deprived this year due to historically unusual rains in our dry season.
Also ironically our sticky humidity has arrived most recently with our higher temperatures that are also not our usual yet for this time of year!
Thus creating the possibility being ripe for a breeding ground for those nasty insects!
Thankfully our pond, although most recently a fine feeding ground for one lone green heron appearing like clockwork daily, and oh so cute, who does enjoy munching on our plentiful amount of mosquito eater fish that multiply faster than rabbits!
The remaining ones, mosquito eating fish, do a fine job of eating any eggs that mosquitoes might lay!

Moving on...

Today is the Florida primary good luck Florida!
Vote for the RIGHT PERSON, PLEASE PEOPLE I am depending on you! I really hope that Florida FEELS THE BERN and does Vote for BERNIE!

On this note to vote allow me to be the very first one to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe and peaceful good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

3D, no special glasses needed, but I did smile!

I went for that squeezer boobie process that all women dread, but is for our own good, we are told.
I suppose as much as men with their unmentionables/testicles checked similarly by medical professionals grasping them
.
Back to my girls, I guess that is what a few still call their breasts these days, hmm?
Any-who, mam, mammography, day, takes on a whole new meaning now that our female chest protuberances can be photographed, that is that their insides can be in 3D no less!
Yes, they can do slices of layers and layers in film of meaty muscle and fat and see what is there or if anything is not supposed to be there, and personally I find this amazing!
And a good chance for no more false positives!
If only...
Truly a wonderful concept and totally covered by Medicare!
Much better than what I have been through over the years...
I have been mutilated, cut up, tortured three different times!
First in 1992 my left one had a surgical lumpectomy biopsy and was found to have hyperplasia ductal, benign, but possibly pre cancerous, nothing did happen, thankfully. Done by a plastic surgeon classy, nearly no scar.
Second time 2002, bi-lateral, yep both, surgical lumpectomies biopsies, and both benign!
But right one dissected and put back together after removal of a specimen under the nipple that also had been removed and replaced, horribly!
Third time 2012, right one done stereotactic lumpectomy biopsy, benign! Very slightly noticeable.
First two were done surgically due to my breasts being too tiny for stereotactic, which is much less invasive.
Sure I am thrilled NO CANCER was found in any of them, at any time!
But still a frightening experience each and every time.
The being told something wasn't right after the mam.
Any of you who have been through that wait knows how long it seems, like forever, actually days.
Oddly enough even way back when a negative/benign result was what you eventually got, it didn't  mean you were notified any sooner than if heaven forbid it was cancer. Yes, cancer is now told to us much sooner, although with my skin cancer it did not come any sooner than if it wasn't, about ten days, even with it needing surgical intervention, MOHS.
The wait seems to take forever as if weeks/years/decades, what-have-you, it does seem that way!
Of course finding out all is well is absolutely the best!
Nothing can make that feeling any better than most all other elations in life, marriage, birth or such!

Anyway, the reading of the additional layers takes longer, but worth the wait, and thankfully all was GREAT!
Until next year, I am good, on this test that I did pass completely, YAY!

So on this happy, healthier note boobie wise that is allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy, healthy safe and peaceful good night, and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS who would have thunk it that I would become a 3D X rated movie star at this age, ha!

Acting non presidential should be discussed seriously

We have been accepting bad behavior from a man who wants to be in charge of our country and is running for the highest most respected job in this land that I love.
I have watched this Orange Frothy Haired guy not own up to statements he has made that are on record and film.
Americans see him as the words spew forth from his mouth and yet defend him.
How can so many be following him so blindly?

Our current president Obama has done a fine job of getting us back on track these last nearly eight years in my opinion. But due to racist people in government was unable to accomplish all that he set out to do.
Many of his desires to help the middle class and less fortunate have been begun.
In spite of being nixed on so many projects.
Even the health care program, which I believe definitely does need some tweaking was a start, but many who never had coverage can now afford health insurance.
He has gotten unemployment down to historic single digit lows and the economy has gone up, shown by the stock market prices at all time highs as well as people feeling secure/good enough to buy cars, homes and so many other big ticket items, while gas prices have come down to prices that we can all manage to live with.
Defaults of loans have lessened and are much more of a rare occurrence.
Salaries in many companies have increased for more buying power.
The surge to give even the lower hourly wage earners of employment a living wage has increased exponentially! Also enabling all people to buy things they desire.
All good.
You sir will be sorely missed if... that is especially if... one person ends up taking over.
You sir are a dignified intelligent fine gentleman who has well represented our country to the world.
Not an embarrassment!

We as a nation need a leader who will be for us not for themselves only.
Not a dictator.
Not a King.
Not a narcissistic.
Not a male out to line his pockets with our monies as a nation.
Not a liar.
Not someone who incites to riot.
Not someone who feels our tax monies are his Monopoly salary.
Never a scary hateful, bigoted, lying, bully who will embarrass us all over this world!

My fellow Floridians please do not vote for that man described above, he will be your worse nightmare I can feel it in the depths of my soul!

I beg of you to vote for the representative that we will never ever have to apologize for a decent man who is for all Americans, a mensch Bernie Sanders!

On this note allow me to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe and peaceful good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Violence! Unnecessary roughness! Use your inside voices please.

People, people, people, your voices will be heard without the need to turn your opinions into fisticuffs; try the tamer way by using your vote! When I worked in management I was taught that when someone yelled at you if you spoke softly they would have to stop yelling to hear you, it does work. It also works in parenting with teenagers.
Decency is proven by civilized behavior.
I would hate to think that any one of the candidates would consider unruly actions appropriate for this time in our history, and all bad, whatever happens will be recorded forever and they will be blamed.
As most who have caused the erratic reactions to protestors have been witnessed to the news media has a way of playing and replaying anything that transpires negatively, since many consider that prime news and in reality it is.
Be aware!
For all eternity you will be caught on camera.
Become a wee bit more paranoid and then and only then we might see people act once again like human beings, or menschen.
Come on America be people that we can be proud of and not the ones the rest of the world points at and calls IDIOTS!
Please folks, you do know the whole world is watching, really.

Decades ago I was part of the Peace Revolution; I know an oxymoron sounding name.
We protested with sit ins, marches, candle light vigils, carrying signs expounding our opinions, signing of petitions, most of all we tried hard to be heard without using any violence.
And most of the time it did work!
We need to readjust our ways of getting things done America so our world image is no longer tarnished by this craziness and that means we must unite and agree that CRAZY is not a good look for any country.

On that note of love and hope allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

End of the week, FINALLY!

That is going to the doctor week for me.
Today I went with Hubby to the dermatologist to check my ear again and my mole on my back that I have had for years but it felt/looked different.
My ear once again seems to be in transition with either getting better or worse.
So the topical steroid is to be used 2x a day and if that doesn't work another biopsy will be in order.
My lower back mole was sliced off for biopsy.
Local anesthesia was used.
But due to my daily aspirin of only 81 mg. apparently it became a bloody mess.
The band aid came off and my blouse and undies were quite saturated.
And the pain ensued as well, and when extra strength Tylenol did not do the job I called the dermatologists office.
My appointment had been at 10:15 A.M. and this was at two thirty, a quarter to three-ish P.M..
Enough time for me to have been feeling one way or the other and, since I did not recall feeling badly or in pain after my previous skin biopsy I Googled it and the answer was to call back the doctor and so I did.
They said all they could do was tell me to take extra strength Tylenol, which I had.
The next solution was to use ice, which at the time I was having chills although I did not have a fever, so I said no. Next idea was to go to a walk in clinic or ER, and so far I am still here, or call my GP for some more ideas.
I guess having pain emanating from the lower back down my legs and having achy flu like symptoms without the flu is something I have to deal with and so like so many things in my painful life I found works was to distract myself thus writing in bed again.
And yes I am lying on my small surgical spot, a mole removed, and compressing the new band aid squelching the blood flow and realizing that every time I try to get up I cannot without pain!
So I have decided to stay put, again.
Hubby has gone to pick up dinner from PCs Fish House.
And I guess I will be eating in bed, again.
Gosh if I were rich and famous this idea would be decadent in the respect of being a truly spoiled celebrity!
But alas, I am not.
Just a sick old gal with a great guy taking care of me.

On that note of yes there should always be hope and geez I am lucky, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS The results of the biopsy will be in 12 to 14 days good or bad.

Good News, I Can Breathe!

Okay, no big deal, you say. I can't hear you, but I know you did.
Then why do they test you for that, breathing?
Actually, I am in that possibly knowing position due to it only being a supposition since Hubby was sitting on the same side as the tech who was doing the test, and Doc Hubby said it looked good to him from what he could see with my breathing in and out, and holdings and blowing quickly and sighing slowly that were all in the green portion on the screen's chart apparently. I don't know about the other colors that I could have been in, because it wasn't in my line of sight any of it.
But I thought "green screens" were for special effects? It's nice to be special, although not like this.
And Geez, it must have sounded like a make out session with me in a room with two men and all that heavy breathing going on, I.............wish, nah, kidding, way too tired for any of that, ha! The door was left open, now I know why, CYA, double ha!

The reason for the test was the follow-up to my initial appointment with the respiratory doctor.
I have been on that breathing medication now for eight days.
And during the test they give you another medication and test you some more after, I will be getting the results in eighteen days.
There was another test the doctor had wanted to do, me to run up and down steps but I cannot do run, or steps or up and down, so he, we nixed it.
Just like when I had the wiggling legs over the edge of the exam table instead of a tread mill for my heart nuclear test; could not do the other.
We all make concessions in life to get to where we have to go some times. I raised my hand, to say me too!

Hubby and I had lunch at Panera's, we both enjoy their delish food and healthy choices.

We first checked at Lowe's for the Mandevilla vine needing to be replaced, but they haven't come in yet. Hubby had me look at bathroom parts, fixtures, sinks etc. and tiles for his bathroom that we are considering making into an ADA accessible one for me, his is the larger one and has the ability to become even more expandable into the garage for more square footage.
A person from a non-profit organization will be coming over to give us the necessary specs to do the project in the future.
The man called while we were out and I must call him back.

We also went to Sam's Club for coffee and baking soda, Hubby found pastries he likes.
See, this is part of the problem, he needs to fatten up and I don't!

Any-who, on this note back in bed due to some chest area pains again, endoscopy next week, Mam too, oh what fun!
Allow me to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe good night and ask you all to kindly count all our blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

My opinion

Is no better than yours.
Although, I think that I express mine more often and more publically than you do.
But of course that again is just my opinion.
There are times in my life that I knew in my heart of hearts that something was going to happen.
Deja vu is not uncommon with women, ya know? No one knows why that is, except maybe us clairvoyant types, ha.
Some call it intuition.
I suppose men can have it too.
Have you felt as if something bad was going to happen, and then it did?
Or perhaps that something good was about to happen and that happened too?

This election really is baffling to me and at times makes me quite uneasy.
Never before have I felt this way with a ridiculous election, could be because never ever has there been anything like this election that is this ridiculous.
Feeling safe usually, but not necessarily this time.
Knowing in the past that my vote if not the one to get my candidate elected at least the opponent was someone although not my choice was still a decent person with their desire to help our country stay safe, productive, healthy have more than half of the country's wants and desires taken seriously and truly wanting to accomplish what they promised, but not this time, I have a fear.

You know that silly expression that people say, vote now and vote often, kiddingly more than once, now I wish if only that were legal.
My gentle candidate, but one who realistically wants to help America, my choice is not getting enough support, and so the campaign for the slot to become president could be filled by an another not as desirable or with all our best interests at the forefront.
Short of pulling out my hair and hoping that others realize this; people you should truly vote for the best candidate, there is not much else one can do or say.
I have previously told all of you who I do not want and why.
But just expressing my good vibes for the right candidate I guess is not enough.
So maybe saying that this person has honesty, integrity, and a problem solving ability with a calming personality that can make important decisions without a hot head and with logic and care.
Think about this at a different angle...
Every illegal person that commits a crime in the United States fuels the Frothy Orange Haired Guy's campaign with people saying, you see we need him to keep them out. Let me ask you how many legal Americans commit crimes? You see, look again, for everyone of those illegal people who make the news for committing a crime, sadly thousands of LEGAL AMERICANS have been doing it right under your nose daily all over this fine land that we all love, shall we deport them too, and if so, to where?
Yep, we do have a problem with crime.
And many believe it all stems from poverty and the need for better education and more jobs, making people truly realize that they have a chance of a slice of the pie to success.
Now think logically who will accomplish that?
An establishment person? (Big business in their pocket.)
A billionaire? (a one percenter)
Or a person who truly has helped people attain there best life in that past? (The person with the history of already doing this.)

Think hard and then think again.
Then FEEL THE BERN!

On that note of if only my vote counted in the millions or I could vote that often, ha, one measly one though can make a change/difference if you vote too, and you and you and you all for the one person who will help America, BERNIE SANDERS!
Now allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Folks make this old gal not feel uneasy I sure could use some peace of mind as we all could, true?
VOTE SMART! VOTE FOR BERNIE!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
