The truth is...

I have been feeling poorly.
And have been in bed for days when not going to doctor's appointments.
Many might be saying, nothing new there.
I have been having bad stomach and headaches, even vomited just yesterday.
Now I usually, have some relief from my Pepcid complete and Nexium as well as my  Baclofen and I have been taking the doctor(neuro) prescribed 60 mg. religiously, although yesterday I had to take an additional 20 mg. making that limit of 80 mg. for the day due to spasms that would not quit in both feet!
And with very little sleep, less than four hours at night due to pain and icing nearly constantly all areas of my anatomy with no real relief... I do hope I survive the next four weeks, now a bit less?
All due to after my cervical radiofrequency ablation, RFA, on 5-31-18, four weeks is how long it is said that it takes to start to feel any significant relief as it is supposed to do and why we have it done!

My eyes have even been blurry, but I do believe that is because I have been on this laptop too long while lying here binge watching Love it or List it on youtube, com under HDTV shows, and believe me I am in my glory with those!
I watch the Vancouver CANADA and US editions, what delightful fun.

My arms, hands and feet and cervical, neck, thoracic, upper back and lumbar, lower back are all numb and painful, both sides not just the left that was the side the RFA was treating. As well as my face numbness, false temporary exacerbated MS reactions that even my neuro said will happen due to the assault on my body!
But her nurse Lynn sent me there, why? Sure for my MRIs reports of my stenosis getting severe.
Even so I feel confused and battered.
Plus I am black and blue on my left upper arm that I cannot recall hitting myself there and it is too high up to blame Aussie, although he did headbutt me while playing and the ENT said that could be the cause my deviated septum to return in my left nostril! I had had surgery in August of 2015 on that and it had been repaired then, but showed up again on my last MRI.
The bruise on my upper arm appears to be getting larger. I did ask the nurse if it could be a spider bite while at the pain center last Wednesday and she said no, it just looks like a bruise. How long does it usually take for something like that to go away? I forgot to ask that... oh well.

I do stretch in bed, and Hubby has waited on me with meals, in between mowing the lawn and thatching the tiki hut, what a guy, but I do try to get up often, afraid of clots! (Last night he drove over to Cracker Barrel and brought home their lemon pepper trout two fillets each with three sides each, meaning two meals each, so finished tonight.)

Funny how fear motivates us, me getting out of bed with fear of clots.

Like fear of what our president has been saying to our allies!
If only there was something I could do before he gets our frenemies to nuke us!
Midterm elections seem so far away!
But at this point that is all of our best bets to do!
TO VOTE!
As one of those picket signs held by a millennial group said, "YOU CAN VOTE STUPID OUT!"
YAY! Apathy is dead or at least dying? Hope so.

On that note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Getting there...

Three sides have been cut and done, the remaining side and fill in pieces will be done when the additional 35" by 60 foot roll arrives Tuesday! Hubby surprised me by working in this oppressive heat today with a 98 degrees F heat indices, at times it was even 99 degrees F, all before lunch!

I personally think it is looking very good, how about you?

Moving on...

Today a FB friend stated that her husband's death had been a suicide, and it made me very sad.
I hadn't known. I had thought he had a fatal illness and had gone to spend his last days in Australia, and in a way I thought that was nice... and in a very sad way he did truly have a fatal illness...

Depression and other mental illnesses are not something we should be ashamed of, and we all should be able to help our loved ones if they let us... these latest celebrity suicides make me feel so sad that they're  no answers, and there is nothing anyone could have done to change the outcomes!
But many are guilt ridden after thinking they should have... but no one can know others demons that make them think they have no out.

I was young when I heard of my first suicide, not yet a teen even yet, my Dad's cousin who was one of his business partners had committed suicide, one of a group of four cousins, so it did hit close to home, he, my Dad had been devastated of the loss of his first cousin and friend.

Later when our younger son was fifteen a friend from school, same age as him also committed suicide, now that son is forty-two years old today and I wonder how that had molded him, ( I do know that the same year his very good friend that was like another son/brother to our boys, to all of us who we took everywhere and slept over and ate over was hit and killed by a drunk driver while bicycling home from his girlfriend's home that did create a recognition early on about not drinking and driving, and we all think of Rocky, his friend often, great kid, so sad.) so that hit us all hard too both horrible ends too young lives so close together. Apparently, the one child that our son knew, but we did not who had committed suicide was frustrated and helpless with his parents divorce, so sad.

The signs were there, but people weren't able to talk like hopefully today, although suicide numbers are up by 10%! When we all should be able to not think badly about others struggles? I, myself have been depressed and on medication for it, and went to counseling, and have I had felt hopeless! Fortunately, these days I am easily distracted so that prevents my brain/thoughts to harp too long on those feelings...I only wish that for others!
All one can do is try and I am sure that they all did try to direct their loved one's for help, and that is all you can do.
Love them, listen and hope they try to help themselves.

All this has sparked reminders of lives cut way too short, and too many thoughts of... if only... but no... and now we talk often about mental health issues and still the military have had an enormous uptick of suicidal deaths, and in our general non-military population too... we have got to think of another way to stop all these too sad deaths!

But what????????????????

We must all try to intervene somehow, it is all we can do: here is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to share,
1-800-273-8255

Love to all!
Be aware.

If I offended anyone I am truly sorry, but if this has helped anyone who found any of it relatable you are very welcome!

Happy good night all!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

A day with quiet accomplishments

By that I mean ordering things we, me and Aussie, needed.
Two of my prescriptions that would be my asthma and antispasmodic medications, Breo and Baclofen from my mail order insurance company Humana RX for three months supplies for both.
And for my canine pal/son, Aussie our mini Australian Shepherd, two 15 Lbs. bags of Nutro Essentials puppy food with chicken, brown rice and sweet potatoes as well as his adorable new nautical designed harness!  Description courtesy of EcoBark:   "Surround your precious pup in comfort and safety with the EcoBark Maximum Comfort Dog Harness–and give Mother Nature a big hug at the same time. The eco-friendly design features ultra-soft and durable straps made from recycled water bottles. Certified non-toxic polyester mesh makes up the lightweight, padded webbing that’s super flexible to give her a full range of free and natural motion. And by including features like an innovative no-choke design that protects your girl’s fragile trachea, as well as non-breakaway, quick release clasps, EcoBark proves that protecting your dog is just as important as protecting the planet."
From chewy.com
All discounted by 40%, meaning a $71.43 bill had turned into a $44, with signing up for autoship; thanks to Freddy with Chewy!

Cool stuff, hmm?
Hope it works since three times Aussie has gotten out of his collar while out, fortunately, once he ran back into the car and the other two were... once when he ran into Pet Supermarket where the salespeople were not charmed by him pulling things off of their counters and out from behind their cash register desk, and the last time was when he ran into Lowe's! The customer/woman who caught him laughed in there, hugging him close to herself while he licked her, happy it was someone like her! Our handsome ET!
Thankfully none of the times did he run into traffic!
The collar and he did not get along at all!
He would scratch terribly as if he had fleas, which he does not! We even bought Adam's spray for him.
We checked, and besides as soon as it was off he was fine.
He told us, I guess, and we listened!
His first puppy contraption was a harness.
Hubby and I disagreed on which was better as he grew and due to puppy classes that he no longer goes to, I felt the harness was, and he felt the collar...oh well!
I guess we will find out this Tuesday when it will be delivered with his food!

Moving on...

I also called Acurite, the company that makes our Professional Weather Center that we had bought, I had thought that we could access it via our phones, but apparently we cannot. There is a more expensive version has that additional perk included, but locally Lowe's did not sell that one.
They do have it directly from them, at a much higher cost though, so we declined their offer to return ours and repurchase theirs direct... oh well.
Ours is below, inside and outside parts.

That's all for tonight...so all of you have a very happy good night!
The tiki hut is at a literal stand still, and if moves it will hurricane related...HA!(Nope not funny at all!, Oops! Way too soon ever.)
Nah, hot weather is not great for hard labor.
Eventually...

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS That piece of thatch that Hubby installed days ago is only a small part of the 35" by 60 foot roll, a mere 122 inches worth, and the other roll will be here Tuesday, so work stoppage is weather related, not due to not enough, plenty there and more coming! Don't worry, be happy!

Heat again is the news, this time without the rain!

Looks a bit like an alien vehicle... hmm?

At least the rain temporarily cools you down! That is the wind speed and direction system as well as rainfall portion of the weather center that is inside in the kitchen below that Hubby installed both this morning! He made an additional post for the outside unit and then attached it to the boat lift, the highest area and least covered area in our backyard, exposed to the elements, ha! How else would it work accurately!
And as you can see in the first picture it is not as close as the other one below that to the boat's ability to go up and down. It has been placed outside of that area, I know perceptually it is difficult to judge from the photo.

As you can see the temperatures are in Fahrenheit. The outside temperature is on the left 91 and indoors is on the right 77, humidity below them are both 52, with wind speed and direction that is in the middle in the circle 5 mph sw, bottom left is the heat indices or feels like temperature is 97 this just went up to 98, barometric pressure is in the middle bottom 29.90, but has since gone down a little, meaning that it would rain. Very low in this area/section is conducive to hurricanes gaining speed, but none are in our vicinity, thankfully right now. The season has just begun as of Friday June first and it goes on till November 30th, each and every year! One thing to our advantage is the Gulf waters are not too warm yet, but as that happens that is how these storms gain strength when nearby.

So very hot!
Hubby quit early due to the weather not being conducive to outdoor energy being expelled, very dangerous!
Some seniors like ourselves have broken internal thermostats, and mine has the added factor, at my older age, due to the Multiple sclerosis that makes it so much worse!
Just the nature of the beast!

On that note, Hubby does hope to get back to the thatching of the tiki hut, with small morning windows, and yes, we did have to order more Mexican palm thatch that oddly enough came in a few bucks cheaper purchased the same size roll and same place Home Depot, but this time free delivery to our home. When there to return the lawn mower blade yesterday I suggested to Hubby to see if they would make good on their difference in price, but they made it sound so complicated that we felt no big deal, it amounted to about three bucks.
Lately, we seemed to be nickeled and dimed way too much on things, so ya know pick your fights, and some are valid, like voting against this current administration, but others are just annoyingly not that important!
Don't worry, be happy... Geez the TIKI HUT is working and it's not even completed. YAY!

Happy good night all!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS: To all TV weather stations: lately you appear to forget to mention Port Charlotte weather at all and even when you do within blocks it can be different very different... with our new system is exacting for us in our literal backyard!
Thank you very much!

Today was not that much different from other days...

I had my nurse appointment with Gina RN this afternoon at the pain center.
It was determined that my lack of sleep was being caused by the steroids along with the other meds being injected into my facet joints in my neck, even six nights after.
The effect should wear off soon.
The numbness and pain is as usual too in all locations and that will usually subside in about four more weeks.
The thumping of my left hand in my sleep involuntarily could be either the Multiple sclerosis or the injections and that too should stop or may be something that will continue, not sure which?

From there we returned a lawn mower blade to Home Depot that was right across the street from the pain center, and the blade said it would fit Hubby's model lawn mower but it did not fit. Lowe's said online that the store had it right inside, but we spent quite some time searching until John the employee helped, although Hubby found one with an universal attachment.
He got his Father's Day present early their best weather station with all the bells and whistles!
And he is putting it together as I write tonight.
An Acurite Professional Weather Center, 5 in 1 sensor with color display, meaning for the five: temperature, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity!
Great for Dads (or Moms) who enjoy any outdoor sports, like golfing, tennis, running, walking, biking, boating, fishing etc.

And a new terra cotta colored in plastic long planter from my seeds that have taken off!

All straight from the veggie themselves!

Hubby did get the first section of thatch on the tiki hut and then the rain came! This was this morning before all our journeys...
Gas at WAWA, for only 2.63.9 a gallon!
Last two stops were Boca Lupo for dinner, two small calzones, that are two meal worthy each, Hubby's plain and mine with spinach, and a Greek salad small that is enormous!

Very last for vitamins that were generic Centrum Silver at Walgreens a bogo, and my Nexium too.

Then finally to home!

Happy good night all!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Broken record... and dishonesty is rampant!

Not temperature wise yet, but the continuing of our summer heat, and it still isn't legally summer yet!
That date in our northern hemisphere will be June 21, 2018, at 6:07 A.M.

Yes, the weather has again put the tiki hut on hold, maybe until the fall or winter, ha?
We don't actually have those seasons here in Florida, thus my ha!
Eventually, the days will perhaps become less horrid in the mornings and then Hubby will probably try to finish.
But I am not pushing it at all, the temps make it awfully difficult to work out there.
I can only imagine how bad that is.
So between doctor visits we are hibernating indoors.
Oh me?
Yup all of the time.
My body is not up for 100 degree Fahrenheit feels like temps!
Whose is?

Speaking about doctor visits (above) the pain center did return my call yesterday just after I posted this, and so they felt I should come in and I was scheduled for tomorrow.
Apparently, even though some of my issues were not on their after procedure red flag list they were enough of a reason to come in earlier than my next scheduled visit in about five more weeks.
I will be seeing the nurse Gina, so I guess not too serious or the doctor would be seeing me.
The numbness down my arms and hands, worse sleeping, and with me that IS something and still having to ice my parts nightly. Although, it does delve into being worse before it gets better after the procedure. I did mention my newbie status with this procedure and I really didn't know if this is just normal or if I am being an impatient patient that I can be... oh no they said, I should be seen. Okey dokey... now I am worried, nah, kidding! OMMMMMMMMmmmmmm!

Although my spasms are not lessened, almost added in a fourth 20 mg. dose yesterday, but I rode the nasty spasm out, due to my kidney fear of getting my CKD worse... now that I read Baclofen can do that!
I am taking the 60 mg. the doctor recommended, but 80 mg, would be the limit, and seriously I don't want to go there. Then there is the pump... NOPE!

Oh well.

Moving on...

Why do people laugh at how other people get around total honesty with spouses?
Case in point, just a few moments before a newscaster giggled at a woman putting out a doormat stating, "Hide my packages from my husband." And it showed the UPS or FedEx driver hiding the package, and the news caster thought that was a nifty idea and laughed...huh, she wanted the mat for herself?
We are going on forty-eight years married and we are honest to a fault all relationships should be!
No games, real life is not a movie!
Anyway, it just made me again become concerned with people's attitudes about not being able to tell the truth.
After all this woman I am more than sure can afford anything she purchases, unless a surprise birthday present for the spouse then that is different story altogether!
But it wasn't since she stated to hide what she buys for herself.

Our so-called president has created an allowance it seems daily to misbehave and not be honest when caught.
He tries to take our freedoms away daily with rewriting our rights.
It just scares me.
All we can do is vote him out!

On that note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Another scorcher another hot, hot day in paradise!

Yup! Our weather and perhaps yours too?
Weather in degrees Fahrenheit is currently 85, but feels like 95!
Many areas south of us are in the higher 80s and lower 90s, and they feel like 100s plus!
WHEW!
And that is Caliente!

So other than going to my ENT new doctor Marmol this morning, who said that during that MRI in January from what he can see he believes it to have been a sinus infection, and that after his examination today of my nostrils that I appeared all clear now! YAY! No surgery! WHEW! (He did say I do have a deviated septum again that had been corrected with the last surgery in August of 2015. I suggested the puppy, Aussie bumped me with his head playfully, and the doc said that could have done it, hmm.) Months after I had been offered an antibiotic, but they do little to help anymore.
I do have a salivary gland that he felt could be infected due to the pain I demonstrated on being touched there, in my mouth, and he did offer more antibiotics. I declined saying they just dosed me Thursday with 2000 mg. of Amoxicillin, yes TWO THOUSAND MILLIGRAMS just before the procedure for the RFA.
He said alright, and I am to call anytime I think I need any help with my ENT issues, he seemed very thorough and nice.

Now it appears I have good docs.
As we all should.

Waiting currently to hear back from the pain center nurse, since I still am not sleeping, having to ice all night long.
Also, my hand jumps in my sleep and numbness in both hands are quite unnerving, pun intended.
Now I have read that Baclofen is not as non-dangerous as I had thought, it should also be carefully used with discretion as well as maxing out at the 80 mg. in a day, and increased and decreased in increments too slowly, but in three day portions not weeks like Gabapentin.
Baclofen can also harm the kidneys, who knew?
I have been on all dosages since 2006!
Learning! I will never stop!
That is until I am dead, ha!

On that maudlin note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
