Pirate Fest in River City AKA Punta Gorda Florida!

Not to take anything away from the international competitions continuing on today...But even we had some goings on that were festive and historic in nature…
Pirate Fest!

Gotta love the imagery and performance of the pirates to give it all a new modern spin… and only one that was shut-up quiet; can you guess which one he was?
These are the friendly Minstrel Pirates who serenaded all us others, perhaps they are of the…there be three sheets to wind kind… dancing and smiling ones too…

These are female pirates of the over forty-five ages, a rare sight and thee call themselves, The Hot Flashes or Flashers dancers? No, the latter, me thinks…But those cutlasses are more like warriors, truth be told…Aaaarrrrgggghhhh and what ho!

And me also thinks me speak irregular, actually thee smiling one was a wench/lass, not a pirate of the stealing type unless hearts are considered bounty and she is here posing with her ale as sweet as she be to lure her a mate it seems to me.

Gosh, hasn’t the doubloons increased in the need for the mead, maybe rum would be better for the Mum? Avast ye…

Be careful youngin that pirate is trying hard to charm you, alas I see that the papa is holding her in his lap so all is well, after all…whew, scary there for the moment!
Methinks this one has been able to cook for the whole lot of his men and sneaks the best of the grub out for his self, ha!

This fellow of the crew needs a barber lickety split, but that is just me and my un-requested opinionated elderly thoughts to express…such it is as always be…

And here must be their transport awaiting their leave:

I call it as I see it… A Pirate-Mobile, and it appears to be piloted by a lassie who has modernized a cooling system with that red object at her feet!
OH NO! Have they all become landlubbers?

The Pirate Fest continues on tomorrow at Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda: EVENT: FISHERMEN'S VILLAGE PIRATE FEST! 11 AM-6 PM, July 29th
Visit www.fishermensvillagepiratefest.com for more details!
I must remind all of you that this is a three day event; it had started yesterday and continues tonight until 8P.M.

It was extremely busy there today when we arrived after our at home lunch, but inside and out there are vendors to feed you all different cuisines, and entertainment and booth of unique items for sale; from pirate fest memorabilia to more interesting ideas to decorate your home and than some…Although, temping our day may go down as one of our cheapest spent full of enjoyment with zero monies output… You see the VIP parking is free to all who have handicap placards or plates, others pay $5.00, but there is plenty of free further from the village and even some closer in. I suppose it has to do with whenever, time of day, you get there…

On that how we spent our day, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
