Naples Florida Holocaust Museum

No pictures are allowed to be taken inside of the museum, although Hubby could take these of the outside. This is a must see for anyone who wants to promote love and understanding and to know why hatred is a monstrous issue that should not be allowed to grow. The devastation and demise of a major portion of the world's population was killed and treated no better than waste, yes garbage due to the ignorance of one man who created the infiltration of the virus that polluted an entire generation of people's way of thinking into thinking that if you were smart talented and had the ability to make money from your attributes you were evil!Horrifically Jews became the scapegoat for this horrendous animal who spewed his beliefs to minds that were unnaturally open to his power of suggestion.Dismally, the world as a whole began to believe these untruths and did nothing, thus leaving the power of removal and the murdering of six million Jews and others who tried to help them! The docent who gave the talk of all that had happened before and after the US entered the war was heartfelt in his explanations and dissertations, Mr. Miller. At times, most times it was difficult to listen to the facts of what did happen, heartbreaking and tear-felt. Sure we all studied the war in world history in high school, but this is close up and personal, and important for all ages to know to never repeat again!

Visit the museum @ 4760 Tamiami Trail N. Suite 7, Naples Fl 34103, tel #239-263-9200 fax 239-263-9500

If you haven't been yet, make an effort to go for your own humanity. There are more Holocaust Museums all over the world so I am more than sure you can find one near you.

On that note of again such hope for us as a world that can find peace if we truly try, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

Gym/ rehab, library, Subway, Publix, and then HOME!

Yes, I seem to be in some kind of a rut or is that a habit? No, not the Nun's type...

What is this gal speaking about, one might ask.

I am speaking of my consistency of going to the rehab/gym on a regular basis, got that?

Yep, back into the fold of regularity, and no not that kind although some believe one follows the other, true?

So a week with a holiday in between is not exactly a motif of reliability, or is it, or could it be, or would it be, possibly to become one?

Only time will tell.

Now that is ridiculous; why one might ask, hmm?

Well, time in fact or in action or even in actuality cannot speak, or can it?

Cuckoo clocks speak in their own way as well as chiming grandfather ones by ringing, clicking or dinging, or playing notes as tunes, is it?

But who of the verbal human being speaks clocks and therefore time?

Sure we can know what time it is by the musicality of these examples counting systematically as they do their thing, true?

So I suppose, now this is a major supposition on me that is a form of some communication and therefore time will tell and can and has before told…SHAME on TIME letting the world know that it is time for this or that without a person of the human persuasion telling it to, hmm?

I am all for independence but when animate or semi-animate objects take it upon themselves to try to enter into a conversation with a being, living and breathing and I do mean without mechanical parts doing that for you… is this or could this be a form of AI; Artificial Intelligence?

So, if it is could it be that it has existed much, much longer than any of us might have contended or more true to form i.e. portended?

Who knows that answer? I will leave that for all of you to determine I have so much more to tell here in my written word that all human beings or is that most will understand, since this is translated for any who wish to do so.

Still as far as I know it is in at least ten countries daily.

Any-who, the gym/rehab was not our only stop today.

I did succeed my previous abilities by increasing my weights and reps on two out of three pieces of equipment!

That means I am heading in the right direction with this plan of mine without a glitch at this time…great for someone like me.

Next stop was long overdue at our local branch of the library; this one is attached to the Cultural Center, with being only open four days a week these days…Tuesday through Friday!

The delay was due only to no good reasoning.

We extracted three free books from their premises with my updated 'today' library card.

Books that were new when I had stopped my voracious reading cramming are now shelved in the majority alongside others and more desirable for me getting back into the game of reader with a loaning time period of three weeks, thankfully!

I found two of my favorite authors that had books that I did not recall reading.

Believe me when I say in the old days they could not write fast enough for me to consume what they had written and I would hate the wait for the next book, but expanded my author repertoire of enjoyment…to satisfy the hunger.

I believe I had at least ten authors that did the trick for me, and kept me reading daily, a book a day was what I did do then.

Voracious was the absolute truth.

From our public library we ate lunch at Subway who profess to have healthy choices and that is why I chose them and plus they are right in the parking lot of the Publix that was our next and last stop before home for the day!

Hubby had a cold cut sub with veggies, Yay, he doesn’t like veggies, and I had my ole faithful of seafood over an everything salad that I could not finish and that we used my cooling vest to keep cold while in the grocery!

We arrived home in time, just after 2 P.M. for my one and only still on the TV after so many years General Hospital!

And I was a happily well nourished camper with all my needs had been met.

Here is where I get my faith filled along with my mind and body for on this note of hope and love and understanding that we must all try harder to be people of one race the HUMAN allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages with you know who and we will too!

As the days head towards less and less daylight in this northern hemisphere...

And true winter actually will be here within the next few weeks and right now, we here in Florida are having our weather go back to why we all came here in the first place, with temps of sixties overnight and with low eighties and low humidity during our sunny Florida days proving once again that this is truly the SUNSHINE STATE!

No BAH HUMBUG here, oh no, who would dare complain when we have what most would consider perfection, true?

You see, we even have a slight bit more daylight than our friends to the north of us, since it is nearly five thirty P.M. and still light out here.
Winter officially arrives on December 21st also winter solstice; the shortest day of the year, as far daylight goes.

How fast the year has gone.

Fortunately, according to all meteorologists as of this past Sunday we are done for the year of 2014 with hurricane season as all years before and to come in the future it begins on June first and ends on November thirtieth, yearly.

Most days we are extremely busy but today was one of those putzing around the house days.

“·  Words related to putzing - Urban Dictionary: putzing

www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=putzing
Jun 21, 2007 · Often used as "putzing around". Means to fool around, tinker, mess with, dabble. Could also be spelled puttsing. The same as putzin.”
So now you know, although we did clean those accordion blinds and the windows that they cover in the sun-room today as well as the swimming pool and Hubby worked on the dock preparations to get that eventually done… guess not totally putzing around? Due to significant accomplishments, huh?

Moving on…

Any-who, today I took care of business, I asked this site, Google, to block some crazy from reading my blogs, hope it works I just gave them his site address that has popped up on my blog viewers, scary!

Update: Good news, those two proud grannies are now friends that I introduced via Facebook and my blog of last night, YAY! So now my friends are friends, how truly nice, hmm?

Does a heart good to hear some good news, hmm?
So much wrong/bad going on.

On that note of just putting one foot in front of the other, actually that is rather a precarious way to walk, isn’t it, think about it, never did before, one could trip or trip another in front of them…anyway, think about it, really, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

Friends and the meaning of friendship...

When I was a child we were told that a friend was someone who you shared experiences with and life lessons, joys and sorrows and memories too…

Not unlike a sibling but less likely to fight with, although that could happen too…but not as often and making up would always cure that, or a pinkie swear that you would never ever let that happen again. Blood brothers and blood sisters were usually biologically really only friends, but one always stood up for that person unconditionally who in many cases one would think of as family too.

Things change as we get older we drift apart, not unlike our biological families and somehow with adjustments or happenstance some times we reconnect, and wow talk about catching up?

It is in this time of the year that I like to think that most all of my reconnects on Facebook with old childhood school chums and even neighbors from infancy and young adulthood of our first home…Thank you Facebook for all that!

It is a small miracle in so many ways how we seem to know what’s what in life and understand others who may or may have not had the same or similar life experiences but WOW it is so nice to know that they are still there, and to sadly find out some are no longer…

But without Facebook there is so much that I would never know, and again I say THANK YOU FACEBOOK for that.

Not to mention spreading that out to our relatives and even surprisingly one that I still have not met in person, my second cousin twice removed birthday twin, yes born on the same day and same year, wild, who knew?

Not me, until we met on good ole Facebook!

So as I continue to gush allow me to explain…

I hopefully just matched up two people, women as friends that I have known for over one hundred years collectively…The one gal is so long ago we were a year and half old when we met living across the street from one another back then and the other was a friend from our first adult Townhouse condo we owned, both in NJ, but over twenty years apart, nah make that 1952 and 1972, yep twenty!

They both are lucky enough to have grandchildren and more kids than we have, one has three boys/men and the other has two boys/men and two girls/women with a lovely crop of off-springs/grand-babies!

Talk about gushing about all those babes of their babes they are so truly lucky; oh how those Mommas do tell it all with PICS and all, just love it!

We should all be so blessed!

So these two women who have never met I recommended that they connect with so much in common and I heard back from one, the old neighbor from the 1970’s who already sent an additional request and I sure hope that it works…

Tis the season to be open, true?

On that note of hope and love and friendship and finding commonalities through many avenues, huh? Any-who, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

Calming day...

NOT REALLY!

Hubby and I took on a project to clean our bedroom faux-wood PVC blinds that I had bought from JC Penney’s (They still sell them there, but their sale price is what the regular price was ten years ago, interesting, hmm?), when we renovated after Hurricane Charley caused the need.

To this day Hubby thought they were wood.

His blinds in his bath are oak but his are not in the shower, of course! My bath window is in my shower and so when it was replaced I had one of those old fashioned bubble glass ones installed.

The faux wood blinds are only in our bedrooms and the wooden valance that encompasses the windows on three sides that I had hand painted them years ago, vines in one room the guest, I call the garden room, and sponge stamped seashells in bronze in the master is also on them and in order to remove the blinds you must take the top valance off with a couple of screws.

I used to be able to do it all by myself but these days it is nice to have Hubby helping me. I wash the windows whenever we do the window treatments as we did do today. Sure I wash them in between but this is nicer getting the whole shebang done at once, ya know?

The sunroom has the white fabric accordion blinds with wooden valances that I handed painted blue, green and white stripes on them to give them an awning effect, Hubby had cut the wood in a scalloped design that we chose off the net way back then and the front living room picture window one has the white PVC verticals for its nine foot width with its own white valance; easy breezy styling simplistic to care for when living in a waterfront home.

I got it at a better price, a third less; when I bought two that I made meet in the middle with butting the valances together, and Ta Da; at the fraction of the cost.

The ones in the sun-room sadly had to be custom since the windows are not standard sizes.

They are next on my list of cleaning the house down to its bare bones!

And no, we are not expecting any large quantities of company, but you never know if some one stops by or if that might change? It’s nice when people stop by during the holidays…and to be prepared with treats for them to eat too.

Any-who, So even with just one load of wash we were both busy with this project with averaging thirty slats in each one that had to be individually cleaned, and some were replaced and two even needed restringing, but Hubby saved the extra slats we originally removed since they were only sold there for 36"X 64" for our windows that are 36" wide but only sixty inches long in the bedroom; so those extra ones that Hubby stored was a great idea.

All are back now for hours and look great, like new!

On that note to try each day to do something productive, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

More visits with PICS ta boot!

There is always lots to see here in Charlotte County Florida and today the weather was so much nicer than most everywhere else in our country, sun shinning with blue skies, no filter on my camera, what you see is the actual color, and in the low to mid seventies with very low humidity too. Below is the Punta Gorda Florida, Farmer's Market today that I have spoken of often but seemed to forget my camera, today I did not!

Fisherman's Village, what can I say about our home away from home. Our goto place when we want something fun to do. Right now they are lighted up for the holidays with displays I showed you just last week when our Number One Son was here. Today's PICS are of their marina and fishing boats that you can go on, full or half days, plus they also have evening cruisers to see the lights this time of year as well as cruises down to our nearby islands like Caya Costa, Cabbage Key and a few more...call there to get all info: http://www.everythingpuntagorda.com/king-fisher-fleet-punta-gorda/

The marina is for public and private use too and there are many slips.

These two areas also on the property are part of the amenities for their apartments that I do believe are time shares. The pool is off to the right, they also have tennis courts and many other things that I did not photograph today.

LOVE ME CHAMBER!
On this note of knowing that we chose the right place to live way back in 1995, after nearly nine years in Ormond Beach of course,  after the boys were grown, since after all this is the quiet side, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

Galleria Mall and Peace River Seafood

Looking for something to do today away from the BLACK FRIDAY CROWDS I Googled antiques and museums and this place came up. Oddly enough they have been there eight years and somehow we had missed them. Perfect for a day like today when sadly our perfect Florida weather was unfortunately too cold for us locals to go to the beach anyway with highs only in the sixties, brrr! My maneuverability was not too bad, I was able not to hit either the other patrons or the goods! I felt a bit like a bull in a China shop, but to my surprise I did great, in other words I managed NOT to hit anything or anybody! And neither did Hubby when for a while he had to transform my chariot into its transporter mode...
Interestingly, while there I met and chatted with two women who had relatives with Multiple Sclerosis and one man who had it too and also had my current Dr. Happy in Sarasota too, what a coincidence, hmm?

The Galleria Mall is not far from the hub of Punta Gorda, it is only out on Duncan Road, also known as Highway 17 North, just a few miles to finding that gift that is a unique keepsake...5260 Duncan Road in Unit 5... (941) 347-8044 their site is: www.galleriamallantinques.com
email is: aspellboundcraft@aol.com T.C. Dorler is the owner.
Enjoy your virtual browse, but you can always go there in person, check their open close times at their site. Remember Saturday is small business day which is a great day to try something new, and for us they were just that, quite satisfying.

Lunch was at the Peace River Seafood restaurant! They are known for their blue crabs, but it kills me to pay for something that we used to catch for free... and so Hubby chose a burger with tasty fries, and I decided on, would you believe two dozen steamer clams that came with half a corn on the cob and a small red potato? Well, I did and they were great and Hubby did have a couple too, and I had a few of his scrumptious seasoned fries, very similar to Jack's on Marion, we thinks they might purchase them both from Sysco, the restaurant supply company out of Texas that we had used too back in the late eighties when we also were in the biz. And no, neither of us had a whim for Mullet that jump often in our canal behind our home, some love them, but so far we have nixed the possibility, as well as for catfish that so many seem to like. And yes, when we used to fish both were very easy to catch but we threw them back. The restaurant is on your right on the way back to town: located at 5337 Duncan Road too; a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Phone number is:
(941) 505-8440.

On that note of keeping you up to date on where we have been and where we are going, thinking and doing, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
