Uh oh what did we do????????????

And then came Bella! A three year old Morkie, Maltese Yorkie! Less than ten pounds!
Spayed, chipped and set with her shots all the way through till next year!
Sad story...
Another vagabond walking the wild streets of Naples Florida, a homeless gal, until picked up by the Collier County Animal Control! Where they threw her into a cell and coldly ignored her until she was surgically made unable to birth babies, which in the overly populated animal kingdom is a kinder way to live...not to make more until there is a home for everyone!
Any-who, today is Clear The Shelters Day nationally, and I wonder how that went?
We again did our part to help the cause!
Although, oddly enough we once again had not gone out with the thought of adding to our furry babies in our family, but... AND THIS IS A BIG BUT, we just happened to be at Pet Smart for Aussie to get his nails manicured and the same organization http://forever-pets.org/, whom we had adopted Aussie from just a mere six months ago was there, set up for their adopt a pet day! And so now I am band from going to Pet Smart when they are there! (Only by Hubby, i.e.)
Below is Bella settling in at home with her new BIG BROTHER Aussie, who in-actuality is her baby brother since he is nine MONTHS old and she is three YEARS old! But he already loves her and she is adjusting to his hefty loving grasps. We did bring our crate into the house from our previous smaller fury kids so she has a place to feel safer and if she desires to be alone.

You can just see a bit of the crate between them by our breakfront in the living room.
Way too small for Aussie, who Hubby weighed while there and now is forty-four                                  pounds! Someone actually suggested he was a standard Australian Shepherd, but his
litter mates were all minis that were saved from the animal hoarders house. One                                   Aussie owner, oh the breed is called Aussies, anyway said that maybe he should go off                           of puppy food and start him now on adult food? We were told that he should stay on                                  puppy food for a year, this is confusing! And he is still not fat by any means. Bella                      on the other hand needs a bit more food and even though she is an adult it was suggested                                  by the organization that it would not hurt her to eat Aussie's puppy food that we                                            just bought thirty more pounds of a just about a week ago! Meanwhile it should be interesting since we are still feeding Aussie three times a day, but just a little over three cups worth of his Nutro Essentials chicken, rice and sweet potato in total, with his extra six table spoonfuls daily of canned pumpkin, two at each meal, for his tummy issues! That we were told he can eat forever without any problems! So far since we were told that Bella eats once a day, but was in the home with the people who run Forever-pets, and treated like a good girl. (I did give her a little puppy food and broken up Milk Bones of Aussies since his are way big...she did seem to like them all, and of course his boiled water.) In the info we received Animal Control had said that she had been aggressive and tried to bite the vet! So while we were there at Pet Smart and Banfield Animal Hospital is right there too in their building I asked if we could test Bella to see how she was with the vets there, and she passed the test! She sat on my lap riding all over and allowed me to pet her, and touch her feet, her ears, and tickle her neck and tummy look at teeth, they were wrong about any aggression, thank goodness! I sure hope so...only time will tell. Right now she is sleeping next to me on our bed! Sweet and calm and so far very loving. Fingers crossed! She so reminds me of our Brandi, our three pound Yorkie that lived the longest of all our pets, sixteen years! And that is what I wish for Bella! A happy healthy long loving life.
This pic below looks so much like our Brandi!

get photoBella looks great... while I look scary!

Bella even came into Visionworks with me, sitting lovingly on my lap as I chose new eyeglasses, good girl! We waited in the car next door to Visionworks, Aussie, Bella and I did while Hubby went into Firehouse Subs to pick our slunch, supper-lunch, we were so busy we forgot to eat lunch!

Happy good night all!

Count those blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS For those who think we are crazy, perhaps, but to those who understand the need for unconditional love that pets give... you know!

This just in: that is Aussie sleeping alongside Bella's crate!
