Road trip!

To North Fort Myers initially for the little cover plugs that go over the screws to our backyard patio set that Palm Casual and their sales representative Kyle was nice enough to order for me. The total cost for thirty little fiberglass covers and that also included spares was a bargain price of $7.50 plus tax! Cost of going outside our neighborhood for a change of pace... PRICELESS! Of course we have been there many times before, since it is only less than thirty miles from where we live, but it had been quite some time!

                                       Below is why Fort Myers is called the City Of Palms!

                              From there to Cape Coral that is on our way home to try to get some shots of the blue-green algae, and no luck, did not see any, even going to a lovely park on the water. Even stopped at their                                                          Welcome Center!

                                         Pics are of us that is only our furry kids waiting with me for Daddy to                                                      come  back out from getting the info inside! The volunteer there today was a local Cape Coral Realtor who said the publicity about the blue-green algae and red tide has killed her business and she has not had any home sales for two whole months due to that! She asked Hubby if he wanted to buy a home, ha! Hubby told her we have no blue-green algae, but supposedly the red tide which we have not felt the effects of yet.

  At the pavilion with our cooler stocked with ice packs that we take everywhere, great for unfinished lunches, and these days with pumpkin for our furry kids!

  Aussie and Bella pictured below under the picnic table, where we had stopped before for sandwiches to eat our lunch and the kids had their lunches brought from home. We also brought all of theirs and our beverages from home to in their form of boiled water, my club soda and Hubby's tap water.Wild crazy peeps as you can tell from that beverage list!

  This sign below is a warning about the algae, but we did not smell it nor see it there.

All in all a very nice trip!

On the way home Hubby ran into Walgreens to pic up my OTC meds and some vitamins, and lastly Publix for groceries!
