Speaking My Mind

Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.

I am nothing if not mostly honest...

...last night's blog was a remarkable mess that I felt needed a redo, big time, and so I did and reposted it a while ago.

You see, I have glitches in my brain that short circuit when I try hard to not let it happen and that I attribute that to the MS, and besides that I am very sleep deprived according to my CPAP, the machine for my sleep apnea said that I had an hour and half of sleep, and that was in the last three nights!

Whoa, and yet today I was able to edit the mess somewhat to coherency, Geez I really hope so.
Every time I go back to read these things I find more mistakes, and these days there over nine YEARS worth, but I only look at the one's others are reading, and not often, since that would be a compulsive disorder!

I think with last night's I will leave that one alone... for now.

Although, I have been known to pull one's that I see on my Google screen of mine that other's have read then, and I go to read it and find more mistakes and go into it again and edit, and some are years and years old!
Well, that is what happens when you have too too much time on your hands!

Good Grief! I must move on...

The new restaurant was actually not that different than the other Jack's on Marion since they kept their servers and bar people with a contract for an additional year when they all get to review the terms and decisions will be made at that time to stay or go, either by the employee or the owners/management.

That said the new name is F.M. DON'S, in the heart of beautiful downtown Punta Gorda Florida, but our Visa bill on our bank online said that it was still Jack's on Marion, guess they just renamed it, although... here it is:

The best part is they kept their great Calypso soup, my favorite but I did try another soup, and brought half home of that one, too good not to save and had it for lunch today and Hubby was still able to get his roast beef au jous sandwich though with provolone and no spicy French fries, and Hubby went into curmudgeon mode, even with arms crossed over his chest. He wanted to leave and go elsewhere to Fisherman's Village he complained he wasn't eating there he does not like change! But in reality it was only their name and a few different items on the menu, the cast was the same and the show had an additional revised script?
Gosh, with Hubby acting like that I was having a mini flashback to one of my little darlings; I won't mention here, but it wasn't Number One, uh oh, anyway misbehaving so badly we had to remove him from the restaurant. So I took him outside and gave him a harsh talking to and then he behaved and we all ate just fine.
Could not and would not do that to my Hubby, he wouldn't have any of it!
I just held my ground and even said I would try something different and I did their Fisherman's Chowder, and he calmed down and relaxed and got a salad instead of fries with basically the same sandwich. They serve cold water from a decanter, like in the very expensive restaurants do too, so fancy!
We go there for lunch which besides the yummy food are the people who work there we had the same servers as always CC and Sarah, yay they see to your every need!
Oh and yes they do serve all meals and have private parties and catering too!

Recommended a must try next time you are in Punta Gorda Florida!

Have a very happy good night and share all those blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS read their history here, very interesting, nice back story:  https://fmdons.com/about/
