Rerun... with a bit of a different ending...

Just a couple of nights ago I wrote about awaking early, actually, in the middle of the night and not going back to bed thus sleep in my ‘2:18’ entitled blog.

Well, last night a similar situation occurred and that is why I should have entitled this one 1:00, since that is when I arose once again, but for a little different reason with a bit of a different finale.
This time, my tummy and my problem with choking in my sleep woke me from a semi-sound sleep, scary, yep, you betcha, I know. And I had taken all the proper medication vis-à-vis, my Dexilant as well as my Pepcid as prescribed.
But every time I tried to lie back down it would happen again and so I had no choice but to get out of bed and into here, again.
So here I sat at my very own techno marvel and commanded it to entertain and distract me, for there was not much else that I could do, since I did what I was told to do, and so all that was left was to sit in an upright position and hope for the best. I did think to drink a warm beverage and what I wanted was my decaffeinated green tea, but alas I could not find it in the pantry and so foolishly without much thought I poured myself a cup of coffee, whoa, big mistake!
Last thing anyone with tummy problems causing insomnia should do, but it was warm and did start out not too bad…

Not too soon after those first few gulps…
Highly acidic and notorious for keeping you/me wide awake if drunk at the wrong time of day or night!
So, one o’clock passed, two did too, three and even four and five too, moments seemed to move way too rapidly through the space-time continuum, but I finally found my green tea and made myself a cup and within twenty minutes I was feeling warm and fuzzy, having that sensation of my eyes not wanting to stay open and I moved my miserable self back into the bed where I belonged!

Next memory was hearing Hubby scurrying about and it was coming from the kitchen. Geez, I always beat him to the rise and shine and now he beat me!
I yelled, “What time is it?”
He shouted back, “A couple of minutes before eight!”
Oh no, I thought.
Half the day is shot.
But in a small way I was a bit relived that I had managed to sleep for a while, about two hours and forty minutes more than the few hours I had gotten in before being so rudely awakened by my pain!

My day began then and I decided to try and go into the pool once again, which I had not been in for a few days, since my ears and nose had been also misbehaving with sinus like yuck and earache like problems from the water in them, I guess?

Hubby had gotten me ear plugs but could not find nose plugs and so I tried hard not to let the water go in… but what fun is it being in the pool without a bit of splashing as you move along. Skipper, who I call my ‘pool buddy’ and he does make his own way in via the steps and swimming directly towards my open arms, he so enjoys being spun around, which is not that different from our sons, when they were toddlers, what a joy that was, ah memories.

When he gets out from his short dips, I do my range of motion exercises in two half hour intervals with a short break between on land.
Then I shower and change for lunch and have my Copaxone shot after, and on to grocery shopping full out, at least today that was on our agenda.

This sleep deprivation is very disrupting to me trying hard to be as healthy as possible; actually, it is counterproductive to anything I want to try in the positive realm.
Please, if any of you out there have any logical ideas on what to do with any of the afore mentioned problems, please tell me.
I do have my neuro appointment next week, and so I will be writing down a few of these ditties for her to ponder over. But lately she just shakes her head as if I should know that it is all just the way it is with all my ills or suggests seeing doctors' specific for each individual problem.
Oh well.

On that bewilderment of exhaustion, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
