I gave up!
Not a good idea when trying for the best price for something that may very well become a daily part of your life, hmm?
But I did.
After over thinking the possibilities of what non-generic medication could possibly cost, I realized that would not be an effective way to budget my expense for the need of this latest integral part to my maintenance of me.
And so with a bit of uncertainty I called back my usual pharmacy and said that I had the prescription for the right quantity, which somehow when faxed was wrong by 200MG, the faxed one was for only 100mg of Gabapentin, while the actual prescription that we physically picked up from the doctor’s office said 300MG. and said one at night for a week then two times a day with one in the morning and one at night for the next month with eleven refills, with a count of sixty pills.
The missing Baclofen that I take were ready too with this new prescription, but for some reason they charged us for both items, when the Baclofen had been paid for in full, that is $18.50 for the 210 quantity, although 70 were missing, on Saturday when Hubby had picked up the first amount.
The quoted price for the new medication was $27 for the 300MG for 60 days supply, yet we were charged $40?
I called back and yes, both was BIG mistakes and will be credited for us to get more medication, not to our account?
They owe us a total of $31.50.
We did not argue.
Foolishly, we gave in.
Hubby heard from the owner of the local Hungry Howies here in Port Charlotte earlier today, a man named Dan.
Who said he would look into the matter and the manager who told Hubby to take it or leave it, and he agreed that was very wrong to say.
Hubby also did some browsing and is determined to find us another good pizzeria, starting with other chains in the area.
Due to a lot of this baloney going on I suggested to call Keri the manager at The Goal Post and let us eat ribs for tonight for a freebie!
And so we did.
Hmm, very good, and sure we have gone there in the past and will definitely go back there more again in the future.
We received an email from an old work associate of Hubby’s from the sheriff’s office that she, a captain, will be retiring next month and we have been invited to the cake eating. Although, we like this woman very much and for a while she was Hubby’s boss we will be declining, but with her moving closer by us we will probably get together with her and her husband in the near future and that is a great idea!
Wish me luck with sleeping tonight!
I am so looking forward to no pain or discomfort.
And I so do hope that I am not expecting too much from this known pain medication for Multiple Sclerosis and also for epilepsy, which thankfully I do not have.
Believe me when I say I have enough and as one of my Facebook friends tried to do, does anyone need any?
She really tried to share her ills, also with MS and all its not so nice associated problems that cause each one to be medicated separately!
Nah, mine are mine and I don’t want anyone else to have this…
On that note of being selfish, allow me to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.
