Knowing one's self...

Many of us think that we are one way when we realize by comparing notes with others that we are not what we necessarily think, got that?

In this venue, at times, I am not as positive as many would like me to be all of the time and for that I am sorry to say that I am only a mere human being, well not actually sorry for that for I am very happy to be one i.e. a human being…with feelings, flaws and all that goes with them.

The part that is making me question what is what in this arena that I have chosen to be my sounding board nightly is if I have made anyone unhappy at any time…due to me expressing my reality than I suppose that is not that different from most of yours and in this medium like other forms of media you have a choice and in that way is that you don’t have to read this, since you are a free agent…!

Being someone with ideas, feelings and emotions is nothing new, and venting is far from that too.
But being public about it is still finding its way in acceptance.
Surprisingly, I heard a woman on The View today say something that I have been chirping for these last few years… If I can help one other person with our commonalities of feelings being expressed than my reasoning for doing this is justified.
Oddly enough it was from a woman who most wouldn’t believe or feel that she is known for trying to help others, Christie Brinkley.
A woman known more for her beauty than airing her dirty laundry, which sadly she has had way too much of these
last few years…And she does honestly believe that her experiences with her second X-husband and his personality flaws are more common than first suspected in males or even in females.
Sharing amongst women is as ancient as the human species and I would like to think that this latest evolution of us human beings doing this other thing that comes naturally is on the verge of coming into its own…that is with wide approval!

Ignorance has been bandied around about the people who utilize this form heralding of expressing their way of whatever floats their boats… Whether it be a political leaning, an illness and how they handle it, to family issues, crafts, gardening, being ingenious in ideas for creating unique objects into useful items or whatever you so desire…This is a free for all way to maintain your brain and its abilities to think and to share.

People don’t go out like they used to, although I am sure quite a few do, but many who are busy with work, family, friends or other ways unable to go… communicate here.

Personally it has turned into my own lifeline since I don’t do as much as I once did.
Multiple Sclerosis has stolen my joy of gardening with not being able to take the heat, swimming the same, boating too…Another slap of my reality; too much for all of you?

I admit many people with MS have abilities that I feel are luckier than me. They still drive, but my leg strength is too weak, I tried and I only could get up to fifteen miles an hour, and my perception is off with only one eye working, the other being legally blind for my optic neuritis that could not fixed after all those IV’s of Steroids… and my neck turning radius with cervical stenosis is not good either…I would hate to be responsible for killing someone because I did not see them due to any of those things.
Yes, I do understand some people have no other choices, but most fatalities were caused by people who did not have the ability to drive safely due to medications or other health related problems.
I do know that many areas do not have public transportation and if Hubby wasn’t able to take us where we had to go…I fortunately have an alternative, a mini bus that you call to pick you up and for just a nominal fee they will take you wherever you have to be.
And I suppose that does make me more capable than others who do not have such a good choice available to them.

In closing for tonight’s objective was to re-visit spilling your beans publicly or as some feel airing your dirty laundry…is this not a free land that we live in?
Is it not also a place where we have the ability to share what we know or don’t know with anyone who decides to read what we spew?
Listen, dear sweet reading public this is NOT SHAKESPEARE and I do not sell it as such… this is one challenged gal that has been married for forty-one years, that worked in the real world in diverse arenas and raised two smart, well educated handsome sons…and had traveled a bit too and so if you think you have something to share; I say ignore the naysayers and I say go for it!

But a warning, you have to be a bit tough skinned to accept anything that may be said… or filter what you say with impartiality, or ask people not to tell you if it isn’t nice, but always tell them that you love to hear what they think as long as it is not too hurtful to you… See, you get my point…ha, and last but not least go on… and try, go for it; if you dare!

Saying nothing is a lost art-form…ask the writers of Seinfeld!

On that hopefully silly end to a harsh realism of life’s trial and tribulations as put forth by none other than Christie Brinkley and yours truly, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and ask you to share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS: To Whoopi and Joy over at the View, not everyone can air their daily ideas, feelings and personal inner dirt on a national TV program… And I say that with love and jealousy! Oh so you thought you didn’t do it too… well I have news for you two gals it sure sounds that way to us your public!
