Depression is a funny thing.

I know, that it is not supposed to be considered funny ever!
But go with me here... labeling is never a funny thing, and seriously anyone who suffers from depression doesn't want another label.
It's like so many other things in the mainstream that have changed over the years, thankfully!
Discussing "cancer", when it used to be euphemistically been referred to behind cupped hands and whispers as, THE BIG C". I know that so many of you are too young to remember those days, but sadly those days were ridiculous!
In the sense that so much was hush, hush... take miscarriages... I who also can relate to that, since I had three, and almost lost our younger son in my third month, which unthinkably could have been my fourth, but thank heavens no!
Many did not discuss them and I was told not to mention them when out in public by my MIL, who oddly enough, me being me I did tell her own mother, the grandmother, and when told she commiserated with me and told me about hers, miscarriage that is, a woman in her eighties then!
Having things out in the open, including depression is allowing people to share commonalties, and in turn allowing for a greater understanding of one another.
Let's face it, it didn't hurt the BIG C due to our open discussions more funding for cures have been found and people who get that scary diagnosis know that they ARE NOT ALONE!
So it should be with anyone Dx'd with DEPRESSION be of the ilk to discuss with others that for every one stupid person that doesn't get it, many more do understand!
Yes, even miscarriages are out of the closet these days too.
Openness can be a wonderful thing!
This is for all you Pollyannas out there! I just stuck out my adult tongue.
I am not saying talking about life's curveballs incessantly, don't take my job, kidding, bud dump bum, but do not deny they exist, and allow anyone who feels the need to talk about their personal experiences without fear of ramifications or being told to shut up! Be kind.
And realize that when anyone shares that way it is a tremendous gift to you, feeling they are in a safe place to do such a thing!
People if you are looked at sideways or treated oddly because you decide to share, move on, and realize they are not sincere and that it is their problem not yours!

Funny true story though, be very careful whom you choose to spew your heart out to; I was a very good listener at one time until... people sought me out just to dump all their problems on, teen stuff not too serious except when you are a teen. Consequently, I became flustered with being everyone else's sounding board, and tried something that someone had suggested... I turned the tables on them and started rattling off all my moment to moment teen issues from what to wear to where to go out to with friends and my "issue" with indecisiveness.

Guess what happened next? You got that right, people started to avoid me even the ones that had confided in me. And I was left all alone.
Being a good listener horrifically has left me forever, due to fear of not being as sincere as I believe that I should be, oddly enough very few are I have found out over the years, but if you find one they are a rare find, savor that relationship.

Sometimes hotlines, anonymous groups or strangers might be the answer for talking more freely of problems. Experimentation with different legitimate people in the mental health and health care professions is a very good starting point, they more than likely will lead you to proper non-profits that will very definitely help.

Denial also works for many, kidding!
Well, they will tell you it does.

Moving on...

The continuance of the weeding of my crying out for help gardens has once again been put on hold!
While paying a couple of bills online this morning I went to print out my receipt and found out that my printer and this new Levono ideapad were not abled to make contact with my wireless HP printer that is only about two years old! So first I called Levono, and they had no clue, and they suggested calling the Geek Squad at Best Buys, and so I did.
LaToya there helped me as I allowed her to remotely take control of my system, after I told her I had installed and uninstalled the printer a few times and that was while we spoke it was saying we were out of paper again that we weren't, and that it was unable to print, over and over again.
By process of elimination my Windows 10 Microsoft program had updated again on the 5th just two days ago, and we both systematically realized that there was a flaw in the update! Hey, I'm a tech, NOPE! Almost?

Any-who, no matter what we/she tried the truth was it was coming up that it was in the last Windows 10 update from January 5th!
I had asked her for Microsoft's number, since they seemed to be responsible for this annoying issue, and wouldn't you know, they already knew!
For while writing their phone number down and LaToya still connected a NEW UPDATE surfaced!
Only two days after the first, hmm, odd, not usual at all, true?
It uploaded via approval from us and shut down with restart!

And Voila the printer worked effortlessly!
And so all was well once again in Mountains out of Molehills land AKA, A Day In The Life, AKA Speaking My mind!

Happy good night to all!

Count those blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Besides the computer glitch that actually took a couple of hours by the time all was said and done... my Nystagmus was going crazy! Apparently, even with sunglasses I cannot be staying out in the sun too long, and I had one heck of a headache too, trying to figure out how to finish the gardens...
Shade is difficult to come by in the SUNSHINE STATE in dry season.

  OH WELL!
