Challenging...

To write when you are just lying in bed working on trying to feel better, and yes I am somewhat better.

I rather chime in on the children, the high school children, specifically from Parkland Florida, speaking up and speaking out; they are more than extraordinary!
They are so fired up with ideas, not just lip service, but well thought out really, really good ideas on how to change the situation and not ever going to settle for the status quo!
The adults have dropped this ball way long ago, and these bright freshly devastated teens of Parkland have called them out on it, and so they have incited their sadly brothers and sisters whom have also endured more than anyone should ever to come along on their marches for a definitive peaceful resolve! As well as all students all over the state, and country!

If I didn't know better it to me it seems to be a throwback to the sixties, 1960's.
We were there, and we did make a difference.
Apathy is finally DEAD!

These children have a cause for all of us to believe in; it is times like these that I wish I was part of the legislature to pen all their logical brilliant ideas!
But I am not.
Walk outs have been everywhere where the students leave school to support the cause.
Fear is tangible.
Who wants to worry about a child doing such a mundane thing as going to school, when all schools used to be safe havens, now rightfully so the worry is the right emotion for all parents horrifically.
This should not be.

Domestic terrorism is apparently multiplying violent actions with multi shooter weaponry.
The period of waxing and waning of these crimes against humanity has lessened in time spans.
Like multiple serial killers their acts of violence appear to be growing right in front of our eyes.
Cues are not taken as seriously as they should be. Report anonymously if you see something say something!
Remember when yelling "fire" in a theater was a crime?
We as human beings have all dropped the ball, and are letting our futures down, all of our children.
Feeling safe in this world should be a given, not something that has to be begged for...

My hopes and wishes are for all the children/survivors when they explain from their hearts as they have been that some of these bureaucratic A-holes will stop talking and start listening.
And STOP TAKING MONIES FROM THE NRA!

That is all.  United we stand, divided we fall!

Humana Rx, though their specialty division, it is them again, feeling better and Aussie medical update

I received a letter from Humana stating they were trying to reach me several times by phone to let me know my Specialty medication, my injectable Copaxone was ready for delivery and that they were calling to set up the delivery.
The only problem is that we have caller record on our landline when after so many rings it picks up.
I had received only one message, not several, and as soon as I returned their call and set up the delivery date.
You see the delivery date was today and we have it, the same day the letter came.
So I called the number in the letter to complain, treating me as if derelict of my duty to myself for medication that has kept my lesions in check for these last seven years and five months of being on it.
While complying with their robo computerized voice asking me questions that they already know the answer to as soon as I call through our, all of our telephone numbers, I hit zero, several times and yes mine were several times until I got a human!
Sort of, they all apologize and understand my concerns, brainwashed!
But complying with their robot calls questions and requests, such as the one where social security pays for their premium!
Huh!
That is what the robot said.
Anyone already using social security and Medicare for that matter knows all of that was taken out of our paycheck while we were employed!
Social security and Medicare insurances are taken out of what would have been additional to monies that would be paid to us!
All that and my paid by me supplemental causes a few hundred dollars of monies coming to insurances directly from all retirees, you do the math.
And I as others should have that expressed in where the money comes from, not just haphazard or people uninformed as some type of charity!
We paid for it, so it is ours!

Not to mention the ill and infirm that do get Medicaid and Social Security, who need to be taken care of, we are low or non-existent in comparison on the world stage for taking care of our seniors, ill and infirm! And this they call civilized?

And the specialty department was doing so good...oh well.

Moving on...

The Imodium worked, with all else, no Pedialite, with my erratic hand movements I knocked it all over the bedding, sticky red mess, causing an immediate washing, soup not so much, fat free Greek Yogurt with honey seemed good, and was, toast okay!
Tonight, Hubby went all out with roasted chicken and baked potatoes! Couldn't eat most of it.

 This just in: fever returned!

Moving on again...

Crazy me thought, but it was only a coincidence with me and Aussie have the same symptoms, vet reassured Hubby, since I was home being sick.
Aussie has an infection and his nerves with his moving into his new forever home was determined could be the cause, an antibiotic was prescribed.
His eyes also were of concern by me. I had noticed his left pupil to be malformed hiding his blue eye nearly entirely. Blindness is not uncommon to the breed, and sadly Aussie may have it, but it doesn't make us love him any less!

He might not have it though, still we love him! But as Hubby loved me with my eye problems.

His symptom stopped with the chicken and rice we think before he went to the doctor. He did have conjunctivitis and for that he is on antibiotic eye drops too!

I knew that yellow eye discharge; anyone who wears contact lenses has experienced conjunctivitis at least once as many others have in the general population has, and eye/I.

Happy good night to all!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

101 and stomach flu made me...

Sleep through blog-time, oops and sorry!
Maybe tonight I will feel better?
On Imodium, Pedialite, club soda, toast with orange marmalade, and chicken soup...!
Could happen?

Our mini hairy four legged puppy dog has been adjusting

Usually when you get a puppy it is not unusual for them to have, on occasion tummy issues.
In every other way Aussie is just perfect, disposition, bright with understanding simple words, like no, yes, sit, come, stay, go get Daddy or Mommy, even knowing the names of most of the myriad of toys he has inherited already. As I mentioned briefly he appears to be not your usual canine companion; he seems to have a very high doggy IQ!
At not even four months old, he even knows instinctively which one of us needs his hugs and sloppy kisses at any particular moment in time by telepathy!
He must have been heaven sent.
I do not know if I mentioned that he was removed from a animal hoarder's home, to have his better future.

They are coincidental things though from little else we do know about him is that when we adopted him this past Friday that was on Hubby's brother's birthday, and the day he had been neutered was on Hubby's Mother's birthday, and if he truly was thirteen weeks old as of this past Friday that would have made his birthday on Hubby's birthday! Getting goosebumps!

Spoiler alert though, the paperwork they gave us actually says that he was born two weeks earlier than that! Oh well... close enough and Hubby and I thought that we would celebrate their birthdays together.

We asked right away when we got him about all his shots etc., and his paperwork confirms he is up to date on all his puppy shots as of last week on our anniversary! He is not yet micro chipped though.
Pet Smart gives coupons for the rescue animals, and one was for a free initial exam that we scheduled when we went inside for his harness, also we had a coupon for that too, and also included there is one free training course.
The short time we did have him on a lead he was not into being tethered, who is really?
Any-who, that will have to be taught.
His socialization is on hold till his tummy ache is better, but oddly enough he is catching onto housebreaking in spite of his queasy squeasies.

So severe we moved up his doggy doc appointment from this coming Friday to ASAP.
Oddly enough he is very hungry, and when we had bought him, before bringing him home, a twenty pound bag of the puppy food that he had been eating with his foster parents, and he still was having diarrhea using that.
The info says he has had it before in January six days before his neutering, never saying if it had been diagnosed from what? No blood, thankfully so.... possibly just stress? But he is sooooo laid back in all other ways.
Being pet parents forever, we knew to put him on boiled chicken and rice nearly immediately, and so we did, for the last two days now, but the problem still exists, thus the doc appointment.
He is drinking water, playing, sleeping and even attempting BIG BOY relieving himself outside, but understandably there have been a few fails.
GOOD GRIEF! HE IS NOT FEELING WELL!

But what a trooper!

He even was playing fetch with balls and a stick and brought them back each time! Even with himself.
Did I mention that all sized Australian Shepards are first cousins to Border Collies? It's good to know even though a mere cousin that he is still very smart too! Ha, as my cousins know not all of us are as smart as them, hee hee! Unless they mean smart-ass! Oops did I write that out loud, here?
Border Collies are considered the smartest dogs alive; unseating the poodles of that title years ago!

Hope that it is just the move into his forever home causing it, meanwhile Hubby did a grocery run for more chicken and rice.

We are hovering too due to too many sick doggies, we are a bit frightened.

Pray for Aussie not having a too serious of a problem, please, we will be doing that and also do what we can to make sure that he feels better real soon. The vet is tomorrow!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Good night, we all hope.

Immersed in life and play

Ahhhhhhhh babyhood!
And living here in Florida!
The world's worries diminish when you allow nature's beauty to flow in and a four legged fury baby to steal your heart and mind!
"Hey, Mom and Pops, I'm too young to drive our mini yacht yet at barely just over three months old. Give me a few months please. Sure I am willing to be a play boy, but below is my thingy for now!"
"Playing is my thing right now, as I readjust the floor decor, yup just me."
Simplicity at its finest!
Good happy night all.

Next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Signed with love,
Aussie, as per Mom's approval for tonight's brief blog blurb.

There is more to this tale/tail...

Well... it was like this, we went to one of those Pet Smart rescue adoption days, and we now are the proud parents of AUSSIE!
He is a thirteen weeks old miniature Australian Shepard with blue eyes! And the best disposition ever! Brushing and baths is all he needs to keep his do, puppy shampoo was purchased too, no groomers needed! He has already been on board the boat all by himself, he plays ball with us and himself too, very bright. Fully grown he will be between fifteen and thirty pounds. He is a kisser, sloppy doggy kisses! Loves all people and other dogs, as per visit to inside of Pet Smart. And he is currently asleep under the coffee table sans fuzzy throw. He has tried out all of his predecessors toys and has decided his favorites are ... ALL OF THEM! YAY! The beginning...

The rest of the story is that little Aussie was removed from an animal hoarders collection of dogs as well as cats.
And the name of the organization that we adopted him from was is Forever Pets, Inc. http://www.forever-pets.org/ 1-239-839-7011.

So we are going to go out and enjoy him!
Anchors away!

TTYT!

Cliché,cliché, cliché, cliché, cliché,cliché,cliché,cliché,cliché...

to infinity and back!
Same story, same reactions, same words, and yet...NOTHING NEW!
NOTHING DONE!
1. Mental health issues are still not addressed when purchasing AR 15 rifles or any other types of guns. If they were, this person would have been stopped as so many others would have been too! Come on mental health professionals formulate a legit test to give with people trying to get licensing for weapons, PLEASE! Otherwise stop calling yourselves mental health workers!
2. Why did no one do anything this time and before when these perpetrators say they are going to do these things? This one even posted on youtube that he was going to be a school shooter; hackers can supposedly track any origins of postings, IP addresses? FBI has no hackers? Come on... sure they do! Lame excuses.
3. Stop doing nothing, our so-called congress, stop just meeting and make a damn decision! Your job is to protect all Americans, not just your wayward buddies! We pay your salaries and can vote you out! Start working for us!
4. All persons of all ages if you SEE SOMETHING DO SOMETHING, even if you are wrong that is okay! Better to be safer than sorrier!
Anonymous reporting should be worldwide and encouraged.
5. We can all start teaching our children at home and get rid of schools, but who is really that qualified to teach, and who will be a part of the work force. (Disclaimer, many home schooled children do quite well, but again many parents need two incomes just to survive.)
So in the end that could mean a stupider poorer nation if everyone did decide to stay home and abolish schools, not to mention these idiots winning with our fear factor.

So what to do, what to do?
No one is a soothsayer to predict any of these things, although many like this one tell their intentions upfront, WOW!
We must start believing them when they say that they will do harm to others, signs and symptoms are classic. From mistreating animals, to being a bully victim or bully, language of all types, groups of antisocial organizations that brainwash, etc. We have all heard these things before.
Sounds as if I am suggesting a police state, nope.
An aware community.
Again if you see something wrong, say something to an authority!
Never be embarrassed, better to be more careful than dead, hmm?

Guns alone do not kill people, people kill people, but certain guns are more likely to kill people and way too many people at one time, and everyone knows that one person killed is way too many!
These military styled weapons would pulverize any so-called animal hunted to eat, so not a hunting gun per se.
What are they used for in civilian life, really? An invasion? Are they survivalist weapons? Then many more problems, no one feels safe anymore... already. We must change that too!
They, AR 15, are responsible for the last several mass murders in this country!
They are overkill weapons!
Declare a moratorium on them, AR 15, people can turn them into the military or law enforcement.
Strong mental health testing can be done for all people purchasing any weapons.
Sadly, this all seems like I have mentioned these ideas before as so have many others.

No one I knew was involved whether either perpetrator nor victim thank God, but my heart still breaks for all those people... I know more clichés, no words left for these atrocities committed too too often!

Good night America!

All I know is that something more has got to be done without just giving lip service on this horrific incident of human loss... once again, and again, and again!

JUST HORRIBLE WHEN NOTHING IS DONE!

WE MUST DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
