‘Bella Vita’, is Italian for the ‘beautiful life’.
Sadly due to the wearer of it as a shoulder tattoo most people today are associating it with an alleged child murderer who did not get her rightful ‘mia cattivha vita’, bad, vicious mischievous, wicked, savage, unrighteous, evil, vicious, malicious, naughty, brutal, villainous life, which many people believe would be more of an appropriate tat for this young woman instead of her gaining her freedom in only six more days. You see that her tattoo was artistically attached to her after her daughter was missing for a month and that joyous non-motherly remembrance of how she felt without any encumbrance of her child is detestable to most of us mothers. And yes, that is right, well not right but true; in six more days Casey Anthony will be a free woman.
And there is no one to file a wrongful death civil suit this time for her daughter Caylee to get the justice that the masses are proclaiming or maybe there is... her grandparents could, couldn’t they? Or maybe the people at large, meaning us, could we? I don’t really know how that all works do you? Although, in her case she has no money and so that would not even make her have any pain, not like OJ who never ever paid the Browns or Goldman’s I think, for when he was proven responsible and yet he still did not bleed from monies being removed from his wallet. No justice there either, until he screwed up again and this time in Nevada they got him dead to rights, excuse the pun, but an appropriate term in his case…
Oh well, this is the way the system seems to work, huh?
The biggest problem that Casey will have on the thirteenth of July is what book deal or movie arrangements will she want to sign with and who can she trust to take care of the contracts?
Geez, too bad the state of Florida cannot appoint attorneys to handle that for her, hmm?
I know as Americans if you cannot afford to pay for an attorney one will be provided for you in a court of law, blah, blah, blah… How many times have we heard that trite, but necessary legal repartee for CYA(cover you a---s) purposes on TV shows, as in real life too, nearly as often as what your elongated version of the Miranda Act circa 1966, is of it as your rights when they cuff perpetrators halfway through the hour show, huh?
I really do hope that everyone who is so angry with the outcome of the trial does not do anything foolish or vigilante, since that would be promoting violence and hypocritical of why many are so angry with what transpired and what she did do in our opinions, huh?
I know it is difficult to grin and bear it but folks besides the civil suit, of wrongful death, which I do wonder if one, could be a class action type if there is such a thing as that with all the upheaval nationally, hmm? And another idea then don’t buy her books or go to her movie which are fine legit protests if you want to ruin her financially, but then she would not be able to pay back the fine citizens of Orange County Florida. And all the expenses she racked up that the monies when she lied to the police officers and they searched for her wild goose chases and continued for five months looking for Caylee; and so I suppose we are all between a rock and hard place on this too, huh?
A lot to think about, but what I would like to know for sure that this young woman will somehow grow a conscious and feel the pain that she has put all of us through… and then she would know that pain of loss that the rest of us seem to so easily have in our repertoire of emotions, since we have apparently have lost someone we loved… perhaps in her future it will happen and then her light-bulb will awaken that sentiment and passion for that loved one and then and only then will she get what she so rightfully deserves, sadness and misery and emptiness of a love loss, hmm?
And that is where I stand on this the Casey Anthony saga; this is my end to it and perhaps yours too?
On that thought to ponder I will let you care as we with hearts do, and sometimes we have been accused of caring way too much but love of life can be like that, huh?
And let me be the first to wish you all a very happy good night anyway, do try, and kindly remember to count all your blessings, which I am sure you have many and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
Just in: Four more days Casey will now be released on July 17th instead of the 13th.
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.

Bloviation?
Bloviation is to speak bombastically at length in a pompous self-aggrandizing way and it is considered slang. Wow, what a mouthful, huh? But I bet you all knew what it meant, since you are all brilliant, right?
The reason the word fascinated me so was due to one of my Facebook friends using it on my wall and I was curious about what it meant since I had never heard of it before and you know me with my occasional paranoia too and love of all words new or old, and this is what she actually said: “I feel liberated that I will no longer be subjected to "Bloviation" on my own wall. :) Some people think it's their way or no way, I guess”. PS: I checked and she was talking about someone else, not me…WHEW! Close call…ouch!
And below is additional info from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
“BLOVIATION is a style of empty, pompous (again), POLITICAL SPEECH which originated in Ohio and was used by US President, Warren G. Harding who described it as "the art of speaking for as long as the occasion warrants, and saying nothing". The verb to bloviate is the act of creating bloviation.”
Now I am worried, very worried it is not unlike what I do here nightly or even what Jerry Seinfeld did all those years on his TV show; some do say…wait a minute he said that about his own show and so have I about this blog, LOL and so no harm no foul we know that we just go on and on and on and on and it is a free country and if you don’t want to be subjected to this form of tedium and redundancy nightly than you don’t have to be!
G-d, don’t you just love America? HA!
Oh, wait a minute… I am NOT running for any political office and didn’t the above definition above say, “political speech’? The only thing I have in common with a political candidate is that I can say an awful lot about absolutely nothing and I can be extremely long winded, but I ask you folks…isn’t it fun when I do it? I do know they aren’t as much fun as this, hmm?
Moving on…
Hubby did see a cardiologist yesterday and he was given the results of his most recent tests and we are proud to announce that he passed his last week ones with not too many problems and so the doctors are still trying to solve the mystery of his fluctuating hypertension. Still high in the morning and better throughout the rest of the day with his medication kicking in and this afternoon he had a delivery of a test system for sleep apnea that will be an overnight thing.
Copy and paste either of these sites for more info: (http://my.clevelandclinic.org/disorders/Sleep_Apnea/hic_Sleep_Apnea.aspx) (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sleep-apnea/DS00148)
It was delivered this afternoon and will be picked up tomorrow morning by the company providing the test which is Lincare and even if Hubby did not have insurance it would only be a $35 test to find out if you have this most serious disease that your breathing could stop in your sleep and yes your oxygen levels would be diminished and you could have a stroke or die or some other horrible thing, I think this could happen, but read those sites I made available to get the reliable scoop on what’s what, OK?…The tester goes on your pointer finger overnight a clip type thing like when they check your oxygen levels in the hospital, its company is IDS (which stands for: instant diagnostic systems) and it is an oximeter, what a logical name, huh? And he is to wear it overnight until the man picks it up tomorrow morning around ten A.M.
On this night of extreme wetness here in this the, SUNSHINE STATE, yep that’s us, FLORIDA, but boy we couldn’t be happier with this rain since we really needed it, and we got it…And please accept my thanks to those Seminoles who contributed their expertise to the rain happening here, I knew we could count on you! Kidding! And again nothing meant to be insulting but it does seem amazing after I requested their help with our severe drought, huh? It’s a MIRACLE if it wasn’t them…
Allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all those blessings that you have in your hearts and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

ENRAGED!
People are up in arms over the verdict in the Casey Anthony murder trial since she has been found not guilty of murdering her daughter Caylee, although she has been found guilty of the lesser charges of lying to the police officers which is of four counts and has a penalty of four years where she has already been incarcerated for two and half.
The talk is that as of Thursday she might very well be a free woman due to time served and this is why so many are ENRAGED and the other fact that most feel she did do it!
The fact that she was entitled to legal representation costing the taxpayers a small fortune and that the defense made their case and that the prosecution did not have all the facts and in actuality they could not prove that she was guilty without a shadow of a doubt and the defense just had their plan better than the state still makes the public at large angered by the way our American judicial system appears to NOT work when we believe it has failed us in not convicting a child killer.
Oh but we are told we have the fairest system in the world when we are judged by our peers in a court of law in a timely fashion correct?
Nearly three years passed until this trial came to the court and it took a total of thirty-three days to conclude.
Is that a timely manner for a trial to take place of this type, I ask you?
So many things did not jive in this trial.
Too many in my opinion prior to the actual legalities occurring the red herrings were well amplified out into the media’s capable hands to make assumptions and to try this case prior to it actually being heard.
Double jeopardy once again, many are comparing it to the OJ trial, but really this is a mother accused of killing her child by using chloroform and accidentally using too much to contain her causing her demise and going out partying and OJ was accused of killing his ex-wife and an innocent bystander, by brutally slashing them both to death and going about his business after nonchalantly?
The similarities are uncanny, hmm?
Perhaps we forgot.
As we know that not guilty does not mean innocent...
And since as most of us believe they had them both in their hands and legally, by our wonderful judicial system and incredible defense attorneys have let the alleged guilty parties out to prey on the world!
So they can now golf and party once again, although there is always hope; OJ got himself placed in jail for another crime in another state, Nevada, and if I recall he is still there due to him not making parole, and so there is always hope, huh?
Casey better watch her P’s and Q’s from now on since the whole world will be watching her very closely… what is a twenty-five year old to do now with alienating her parents and brother, how will she ever make a living in the harsh reality of the world of non-partying all nights without having to pay the piper with some type of income to pay her way, huh?
We were not in that courtroom and have no idea what the heck the jurors were thinking, but apparently they had their reasons for coming to the conclusions that they did. It’s not the same as watching the trial on the TV, more goes on than the cameras can capture, and anyone who’s been a juror knows that, especially behind closed doors.
And smart as they all were not to meet with media after and show their faces since so many of the public at large are psychotically incensed about their verdicts and with tempers flaring so high who could blame them, really for being safe?
To me it still boils down to how the legal sides present their case and that is how these things get won or loss, truth and reality seems to not have anything to do with it and for us Polyannas out here it is quite disturbing, but also a reality of unfortunate circumstances and performances of the courts players…
Yep, all the world is a stage and our courtrooms have been proving that for years, no such things as right or wrong only who can present what they want you to believe, sorry but way too true. And there you are my dear friends is why attorneys get a bad rap, yes, due to how they get their job done, by winning their cases however the law allows.
And on those words that don’t help anyone, so sorry but as we all know it is so true… let me be the first to wish you a very happy good night and may I suggest to hug those loved ones a little tighter but not too tight you don’t want to be accused of killing them…bad Tobi!
Don’t ever forget to count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!

THE FOURTH!
Now that I hope I have gotten your attention…how’s your day going so far, hmm?
Fireworks are scheduled for later here, usually around nine P.M., good thing we had all that rain with our drought it did look like for a while that we might have had to cancel due to extreme fire danger, but we are good now and a bit soggy… It reminds me of the expression, “be careful what you wish for”, or even its companion one, “too much of a good thing”, huh?
We have a nice advantage here of being able to see fireworks right from our backyard or dock, only missing the ground displays though.
But what we have done previous years when we had company is to take the boat out into the harbor to watch them and that was pretty great too!
These days though we do enjoy our temperature controlled availability of our easy chairs in our living room and tuning in New York’s, Boston’s or even Washington D.C.’s display offerings, which are always quite spectacular with music accompaniment as well.
When we lived in Ormond Beach they too would offer the fireworks over the Halifax River and there we would also take our boat out and for the last few years that we were there they would simulcast a musical accompaniment just like the big cities would, pretty grand! I do think they do it here too but perhaps from our vantage points we have not heard it over our current Peace River display from Punta Gorda.
The last year in good ole New Jersey it was the 100th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty in 1986 and she had just been redone and we had the really great advantage of having my old friend, the one in my bridal party, owning two condos on the Hudson River in Fort Lee New Jersey and we were able to see all the excitement from either balcony as well as the TV simulcast. The boys, our sons, were ten and fourteen then a little over a month before we moved to Florida, a very nice memory… really!
Our governor has made his way here for today’s festivities, Governor Rick Scott. I am leery of why he chose us of all the other cities to choose from including his home one of Naples about eighty miles from here; although before he ran he had not been a Floridian for very long at all… He did throw out the baseball pitch at our stadium so the news says.
But most in the state who voted him in are wondering too how they made such a BIG mistake. I’m not wondering at all since I did NOT vote for him since I believed him not to be a good choice at all. He has in his many ideas of trying to balance the state budget angered nearly all of the teachers, police and fire men and women with his suggested cuts of pensions and other earned and paid into benefits… he really scares me! You betcha!
If I knew I could send him a letter without losing my cool I definitely would, but he enrages me so much with some of his ideas that I feel I could not and so here I sit not doing what I suggest for us all to do, let the higher ups know how we truly feel!
I even posted his email address once on my Facebook page hoping one of the others who feel as I do may have better self control than I… and that they would write to him to let him know that he must find other ways to fix the problems and to be honest I really wonder how it got so bad, it seems just all of a sudden. Could we have dishonest people running things and heaven forbid embezzling our state monies?
Nah, as we all know elected officials are always honest, aren’t they?
Now get off the floor!
I knew I could get the saddest of you to laugh today if the rainy weather took the fun out of your day and got you down, I sure hope not, do not despair since the best is about to come…with those colorful fun-filled dazzling sparkling skyways nearly filling them all up with grandeur that makes the biggest pessimist realize just how much simple things in life can be enjoyed!
On that more than positive note of joy to the American world of lights and noisy wonderment let me be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Are we there yet?
Words that can make grown men shudder and women too when repeated in a closed car ride for more than an hour…
Oh happy holiday weekends to all and the summer vacations have, I am sure, BEGUN!
Thus the time for all parents to find car-games and songs to sing, or am I way behind the times; since now most of you, I think, might just throw a disc into the Blue-ray backseat amphitheaters and hope that each one of your mini clones has the ability to love all those cinema favs that you chose for the trip, or perhaps you let them have that honor of choice, then you are all set, huh?
Oh no?
Well, I am sure that you all know how to keep the little darlings entertained until you arrive at the relatives, hotel or campsite, right?
With license plate bingo or oldie songs from your era of the 80’s or 90’s; scary that I said that!
Since our oldies are from the fifties and sixties…oh well, the times they are a changing…and have gotten younger old memories, huh?
Ah life on the road can become fun or a nightmare, it’s up to all of you, right?
Take the time to prepare with everyone’s input.
Yes, if your children are in school and quite able to express themselves then I do think they are capable of contributing to the planning, don’t you?
Take it from me, if you think an hour is drawn out without having answers think about driving a few states away, then what you gonna do, when they come for you?
Not the criminals in that jazzy cops show song oh not your own ordinarily nearly non-communitive offspring due to their at home Wii’s or the signal in the vehicle getting lost so not being able to text to their BFF’s or whomever, all I am saying is WATCH OUT, you will not remember that they are truly yours anymore once the power of technology leaves their presence I am so afraid and perhaps you too should be very afraid… or not… I could be wrong.
Unfortunately, those children that I imagine as having to deal with all those techno woes would be around the age of any of my grandchildren, that is if I had any…which sadly I don’t…boo hoo, hoo…
And so, my thoughts for today’s travel with youngsters are a composite made up from my only experiences from TV shows, magazine shows and who knows shows… what-have-you…
Do kids even say that anymore?
You know my title question, “Are we there yet?”
I bet they all do, it has been my experience the more things appear to change; they actually stay the same.
If that isn’t a truism I don’t know what is.
But I have faith in the world and all our youngins too and that means that not only that you will all have the best time ever on your summer vacation is that while traveling there you will find a way to make it a happy memorable experience for all concerned, for this I am more than sure!
Now for an unexpected health update for Hubby and me:
It appears that Hubby’s blood pressure medication has begun to finally control those highs he was getting in the morning as of today it was well within the so-called norms for, ‘blood-pressure’ numbers and for that I say hooray!
Anyone who would like to know is the when the systolic number, the top one, is below 140 and the diastolic, the bottom number, below 90, got that? And Hubby’s both were today for his before his A.M. medication was taken!
And for me it is a little bit more tricky since I am having my pseudo diabetic reactions, yesterday my glucose was 184, but after I had some meat and potatoes it went down to 74 within fifteen minutes, scary and feeling very odd.
I had a couple of those delish cookies the kids brought those chocolate ones that were oh so sweet…that alone should tell you something, huh?
Any-who, it dropping and I did not even consider taking any insulin, which by the by I still have in the fridge for just in case…
Today it was up to 204 for nearly an hour and so I called my friendly, ask-a-nurse being its Sunday and all, why does all this seem to always happen to me on the weekends, I do wonder why that it… anyway…
This time she did feel I should take the four units of insulin recommended at this glucose level to take since I did have it available and all, but to have crackers and peanut butter with me in case it dropped so low again.
But Hubby thought I should wait a while longer and I did and it was a good thing since it did go down all by itself without any intervention to 134!
Is this too weird or what?
I really don’t know what to make of it…hmm…
And so here I sit confused but none the worse for wear as the expression goes and so with that slight note of positivity let me be the first, and tonight I think that I may very well be, due to the early hour in my time zone… have a very happy good night and kindly count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
PS Good luck and remember they are not returnable!

Welcomed visitors, BIG mistakes and just because...I want to...
Today was pleasant, but not all that calming…
When you realize that you have made a few horrible mistakes there is your own hell to pay!
That is in your own brain and way of thinking that perhaps more care should be taken when offering up these bits of …WHAT?
What am I doing here? Oh yes providing information to the masses, nah, the masses don’t seem to be reading this anymore, well good for you! With all these screw ups who could blame you, really?
I seem to be biding my time once again with not doing what really needs to be done, checking my facts, shame on me!
You see, my misinterpretation of their signage caused me to wrongfully state my horrible stupid mistake since I did not really understand what was what, got that?
Yes, I said a few weeks ago or maybe a month or two that our local Books A Million had closed and I am here to apologize profusely that I was unequivocally mistaken they are definitely still there and appear to be quite solvent, but they have changed their marquee to read BAM, their initials that are used worldwide online for their site! (bam.com)
And so they also had that other sign that said ‘Cash For’ and that what I saw there was not for one of those give you money for higher interest, sell your first born, places since on closer scrutiny it is actually BAM giving you money for your used books and other types of written items that you want to sell to them, how about that? And I am so very sorry for that horrendous mistake! Please world forgive me and more importantly BAM please do?
My other was last night with my theory of our true history, which to be fair was written with my tongue glued to the inside of my cheek, but some may have missed my too, too subtly and for that tonight I will give you a more accurate historical informative synopsis of how it all went down, OK?
Here’s a copy for you to read, just copy and paste this site: http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/index.htm
And below is more info to copy and paste for a bigger picture of what actually transpired:

And that has taken care of my retractions of all my most recent OOPS’s!
Moving on…
This morning our eldest son arrived with his girlfriend to spend the day with us, how truly wonderful!
But all did not go as we had planned, but what does these days, huh?
The restaurant, the Tai Café, one we chose was not opened today until the evening and we were there for lunch! And so we went on to the our second and always a good choice the International Buffet, where everyone can get whatever they want, which causes most to say they enjoyed it!
And that was the case this time as well.
Our number one son and his gal pal brought me, when they arrived, a potted Hydrangea, remembering that I prefer ones that I can plant over ones that are cut flowers and die way too soon and have been known to break my heart, figuratively speaking that is…
I so do love those Hydrangeas from when we had them up on the other coast in Ormond Beach alongside the house.
Hopefully this one will survive in this slightly warmer climate… of zone 10.
And along with that lovely blue floral was my other favorite thing chocolate in the form of an enormous bakery offering from the Publix bakery, Ooey gooey and oh so delish cookies, but I did encourage them to take half of what was left and thankfully they did!
I also asked Hubby to take their pictures and he did do that and I sent them back with a copy of the one we had too printed on our photo paper gave it to them with a small frame I just so happen to have, one for each of us… all in all I suppose it went well, they did promise to return again for another visit and to me that is just wonderful.
Their trip is a four hour round trip one and they both work very hard and so we take what we can get whenever we can get it!
On that note of not too shabby a day let me wish you all a very happy good night if you are still awake at this late hour and kindly count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Happy Fourth of July Weekend to Everyone!
We all know what this particular holiday stands for, right?
I got that right! Here I go…Fireworks, ice cream, hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelons, boating, fishing, and dancing all weekend and every night for the next four days and all other great festive stuff; like making circles with those nifty sparklers!
Nah, not really, oh no; then what?
Well, I hear tell that as long as two hundred and thirty five years ago we became this great nation when we declared our independence from Great Brittan and a whole bunch of guys signed a document called the Declaration of Independence, how clever of them to name it that, huh?
Now oddly enough after fighting a war called, revolutionary, where a person on horseback warned the troops that the British were coming, the British were coming, yep it was twice so the story goes… That man was called Paul Revere if I recall correctly, some of the women in this day and age try to put a different spin on our history, but we all know the facts of what is or isn’t, don’t we? Why we learned it all in school when we were just little kids, which was quite elementary my friends, right?
Don’t listen to that poppycock that some may try to feed to you…
Moving on…This man Paul Revere was some heck of a guy because he saved many lives with his famous warning ride!
Battles were won and in the end we were a free nation and were able to sign that paper which was the declaration of being an independent nation; how truly marvelous and that is why we celebrate the day of the signing of that document on July 1, 1776 every year hence forward! Oh no, you say. Why is that?
It was on the fourth, not the first, oh darn, I always thought that was why everyone seems to celebrate this day too! Hmm, oh that’s right, it’s my birthday, no wonder no more! And oddly enough I share the day with Canada who calls it Canada Day another original moniker, huh? But they still have ties to the Motherland of Great Brittan, how truly strange, eh?
But it is not odd to them, now is it?
And yes, our nation’s birthday is Monday on the fourth of July and that again is originality at it’s finest, not! And no; no one would listen to me when I begged for them to change it to today for my birthday! So here we sit 235 years minus four days later celebrating this holiday of the birth of our independence and wild parties!
The closest I got to becoming part of that closed loop in history, personally, I do believe the ones involved in it are those twelve hundred, four hundred on each of those three ships, the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria. You remember the ones who go back generations with their heritage and genealogy coming from the Motherland… which I suppose that means Spain and Portugal since isn’t that where all those ships originated out of?
Any-who, but as I began to say it is our youngest son who was born in the year of the bi-centennial, 1976, and for all my hard labor, our darling child exhausting trial of being born, our son, our baby he only received a bi-centennial birth certificate. In other words, a red, white and blue document of paper quality and of course with stars and stripes with no other significant signatures of declaration other than ours and that he was born in the year of our two hundredth birthday, whoopee-tee-do!
But still that is pretty great and memorable, wouldn’t you all have to say?
No, well you find your excitement where you can and I will find mine, so there!
Happy Fourth early folks and all who desire to begin the festivities early on this historic day of my birth, go right ahead! And we all will as we should celebrate each and every day as if it was your special day, how about that for an idea?
Good night to all and count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!
If we can stop long enough from doing all the other so busy stuff!
LET THE WEEKEND FESTIVITIES BEGIN!
And please if I forgot to thank any of you for your lovely wishes for my day of birth please take that thank you right now; from my lips to your ears, OK?
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
