People are up in arms over the verdict in the Casey Anthony murder trial since she has been found not guilty of murdering her daughter Caylee, although she has been found guilty of the lesser charges of lying to the police officers which is of four counts and has a penalty of four years where she has already been incarcerated for two and half.
The talk is that as of Thursday she might very well be a free woman due to time served and this is why so many are ENRAGED and the other fact that most feel she did do it!
The fact that she was entitled to legal representation costing the taxpayers a small fortune and that the defense made their case and that the prosecution did not have all the facts and in actuality they could not prove that she was guilty without a shadow of a doubt and the defense just had their plan better than the state still makes the public at large angered by the way our American judicial system appears to NOT work when we believe it has failed us in not convicting a child killer.
Oh but we are told we have the fairest system in the world when we are judged by our peers in a court of law in a timely fashion correct?
Nearly three years passed until this trial came to the court and it took a total of thirty-three days to conclude.
Is that a timely manner for a trial to take place of this type, I ask you?
So many things did not jive in this trial.
Too many in my opinion prior to the actual legalities occurring the red herrings were well amplified out into the media’s capable hands to make assumptions and to try this case prior to it actually being heard.
Double jeopardy once again, many are comparing it to the OJ trial, but really this is a mother accused of killing her child by using chloroform and accidentally using too much to contain her causing her demise and going out partying and OJ was accused of killing his ex-wife and an innocent bystander, by brutally slashing them both to death and going about his business after nonchalantly?
The similarities are uncanny, hmm?
Perhaps we forgot.
As we know that not guilty does not mean innocent...
And since as most of us believe they had them both in their hands and legally, by our wonderful judicial system and incredible defense attorneys have let the alleged guilty parties out to prey on the world!
So they can now golf and party once again, although there is always hope; OJ got himself placed in jail for another crime in another state, Nevada, and if I recall he is still there due to him not making parole, and so there is always hope, huh?
Casey better watch her P’s and Q’s from now on since the whole world will be watching her very closely… what is a twenty-five year old to do now with alienating her parents and brother, how will she ever make a living in the harsh reality of the world of non-partying all nights without having to pay the piper with some type of income to pay her way, huh?
We were not in that courtroom and have no idea what the heck the jurors were thinking, but apparently they had their reasons for coming to the conclusions that they did. It’s not the same as watching the trial on the TV, more goes on than the cameras can capture, and anyone who’s been a juror knows that, especially behind closed doors.
And smart as they all were not to meet with media after and show their faces since so many of the public at large are psychotically incensed about their verdicts and with tempers flaring so high who could blame them, really for being safe?
To me it still boils down to how the legal sides present their case and that is how these things get won or loss, truth and reality seems to not have anything to do with it and for us Polyannas out here it is quite disturbing, but also a reality of unfortunate circumstances and performances of the courts players…
Yep, all the world is a stage and our courtrooms have been proving that for years, no such things as right or wrong only who can present what they want you to believe, sorry but way too true. And there you are my dear friends is why attorneys get a bad rap, yes, due to how they get their job done, by winning their cases however the law allows.
And on those words that don’t help anyone, so sorry but as we all know it is so true… let me be the first to wish you a very happy good night and may I suggest to hug those loved ones a little tighter but not too tight you don’t want to be accused of killing them…bad Tobi!
Don’t ever forget to count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!
Next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.

I have followed this case for three years and watched every minute of the trial. I am so upset I can't even articulate what I think about this jury. There was no justice today for Caylee and the fact that Casey Anthony will walk out a free woman on Thursday makes me physically ill. She'll make a ton of money from movie and book deals and become a 'celebrity'. The media will want to interview her - I will not watch. My heart is breaking for the Anthony family, and despite their dysfunction, they've been through hell. It appears their marriage is close to over too. It's just so sad and I don't understand it.
Being found not guilty is not the same as innocent. She is not innocent.
