Most of the day we had not much to do since the only appointment for the day was at 3:45 P.M.
You see, I only had one 600 mg. tablet left of my Gabapentin that a days dose is 1800 mg. until this Saturday and this medication you cannot stop cold turkey, since if you do it can cause seizures, exactly what it is meant to prevent in people with Epilepsy. Mine is given for neuropathy pain and spinal pain etc. as well as now for kidney pain, and also tremors and Nystagmus helping, and so it is not bad stuff.
Although, most recently I have been told that the FDA in its wisdom is on track to make it one of those controlled substances, thus my 3:45 P.M. appointment at my Pain Center to meet with their Nurse Practitioner to discuss my continuing need for this medication.
I came prepared with my print out of my medications and allergies.
A picture taken with my phone of my weekly pill dispenser, proving I was not taking too many pills at once since I also had my empty pill bottle, thus the weekly dispenser pic to validate its emptiness... believe me if they were going to need proof of need and my ability to take this "scary" important medication necessary for me safely I had all my back up proof! Did I mention I took a couple of years of law classes, business law oh well, but law... in high school and college, but I did win my only debate when a high school student! Horrifically about cigarette smoking my side was for... oops, but this was back in the 1960 s and the info just came out and everyone was debating its validity.
The Nurse Practitioner Gina ordered a three months' supply and said Dr. will be continuing them in ninety day increments!
By the time we were done, meaning Hubby and the furry kids waiting in the car, it was 4:30 P.M. so Hubby suggested picking up dinner, due to the locale we were in there were a plethora of choices!
As he rattled off name after name, cuisine after cuisine, I said how about Hooters?
I think I shocked him.
Well, I thought it might be a nice early holiday present for my husband.
And we both do enjoy wings, chicken wings!
My silliness of the location thinking we were younger by fifty years in our heads at least, Hubby seemed unfazed by my oddly playful suggestion.
So to see if he was just being polite about what he was seeing after all we are nothing if not the me too generation advocates.
I egged him on..., what were they wearing?
Their usual, or weather driven colder weather attire?
He finally said they were wearing short shorts and sweat shirts!
Uh oh.
He had noticed, more than what I am wearing these days! LOL!
Showing that he has my channel on for General Hospital when he thinks not that much of any soap, but he said the one young lady looked a lot like the one on, "my" show if only, anyway he was referring to Jocelyn Jax who came out to peek out at our dogs to say they were the cutest, and the other one he said also looked like another one from "my" show, Maxie, I asked I had only seen the Jocelyn look alike, but I described both LuLu, and Maxie, I said short hair, dimples, and he said yeah.
But he doesn't watch it, and I am usually in the bedroom resting then, and he is in the living room, hmm?
FUNNY!
Happy good night all!
Count those blessings and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
