you take one step forward and another backward, not two steps backward this time.
People come and go in your life, but usually if you are kind, loving and decent to them it is only if they pass away, not drive them away.
Oddly enough the people that I have been the most critical of I seemed to have missed the most, and sadly now although since we have put the past in the past and reconciled our differences, by not discussing them, good or bad, probably better, civilized we are unable to see them in life.
Only due to either distance or commitment to our furry kids and my lately more bad days than good.
Their commitment too to family of course.
Too late?
Perhaps.
Although, all the bad stuff is finally not worth the effort, except from one of the most important of my estrangements that has gone so very, very long, for fourteen years our Son, Number Younger.
Saying Number Two sounds like you know what or having to try harder.
Oh he sure did!
Happy healthy and wealthy, maybe wise or not...so the last I heard.
So no worries.
And so I am fine with that, for isn't that what we all want for our children, to be anything that they want to be?
I suppose he is.
I have reacquired two relatives and one old friend, fifty-five years worth of friendship retrieved!
Yup since we were kids.
Lost my sister-in-law, Karen who has lived with Hubby's brother her husband married for well over fifty years, had passed away after a ten year fight with ovarian cancer. Karen, is the adorable one to the far right in the picture below, and Ed her husband the Elvis look-a-like who played Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie in high school is Hubby's older brother by five years, is on the far left, expecting their second child, a daughter Amie. Now forty-seven with three grown daughters of her own, our in-laws eldest is a son Michael, and the youngest is Nancy who has two sons of her own. Next to his brother is their Mom, us in the middle and then their sister Diane who was my maid of honor. Nice memory.
Hubby's Mom died last November at two months short of ninety-seven!
I do not believe I show this one on our anniversary yearly on 2-14-71 that of course is when this was taken, just us usually.

Oh they are not who I was talking about above.
Two were my cousins, and the other one was my old school friend. No pictures of them tonight.
Happy good night all!
Count those blessings and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
