Today was my foot doctor appointment

Dr. Mark Tracy, podiatrist, M.D., neither Dick nor Spencer so not a sleuth or actor, examined my foot and felt my pain.
He recommended a cortisone shot in my heal that he did do, and I asked if he thought I needed a brace, and he said that he would give me a stabilization boot, and so now I have one of those BIG BLACK VELCRO thingy things that you need an engineering degree to put on or take off, thanks to his assistant and Hubby all was done both on and off, now back in bed.
He also made arrangements for me to have an X-ray and a MRI within the next day or so, will be calling the facility tomorrow.
What he feels is that it might be Plantar Fasciitis, a heel spur and tendinitis, nothing lethal, but all a pain in the foot!
Crazy, since I spend so little time on my feet.

Moving on...

Any-who, Hubby and I went into Winn Dixie for a pot pie for him for dinner and for me the rotisserie chicken, actually for him too whenever he wants.
He finished his pot pie from their deli, and I could not finish my chicken leg, or my homemade Cole slaw and potato salad.

My Cole slaw I make with Dukes lite mayo, and apple cider vinegar and olive oil and some packets of Stevia and already shredded cabbage of red and white with carrots too, bought in the produce department, and tonight I zapped one big and one little potato in the microwave, peeled after dipping in cold water and chopped and then stored in a container temporarily in the freezer to cool down, while making the Cole slaw and also chopping an onion and scallions for the potato salad, blend potatoes once chilled with lite mayo and Kosher salt and pepper to taste and onions and scallions.
Lots of leftovers for sides for lunches from my salads and chicken sandwiches, maybe even chicken soup!
I get a lot of mileage out of those rotisserie chickens this one was the original flavor, plain but good.

Moving on some more...

I tore into our Tower Hill Insurance, not really, but I did feel silly even having to call them when everything is fixed and was under our deductible of two thousand. I mentioned that it was very nice that they called so soon to send over their person, but I told them to take care of the people who need them more.
Oh the reason I called them at all was due to FEMA who said in order to be reimbursed for our hotel accommodations we had to contact our homeowner's in order to comply with their criteria or some such thing. Actually, I held on for a long time to ask them a question that time to see if they would be reimbursing people for the fuel they used for their generators and they said no, they had for Charley that is why I asked.
So the FEMA representative went on to list what they did reimburse for, and hotels/motels when you had been told to leave that it was mandatory, well that was us!
And that is the only reason I notified our homeowner's insurance, our home fortunately was barely damaged this time, a few soffits were down and replaced since and our two gates locks were broken and fixed too! All by Hubby for less than the cost of some wood and some locks; the soffits were lying on the ground undamaged so just put back... LUCKY!

Right now I do believe that until the homeowner insurance guy comes to assess that we are denied the hotel monies will not be reimbursed... and ya know I am wondering if we should even bother?
No big deal now, many people need the money more.
And no we are not rich and it was a few hundred dollars, but sometimes...oh I don't know, ya know.

So much has happened since then with devastation, deaths, murders, fires destroying homes and lives too, besides all the homes here in Florida, Texas, and the islands demolished by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

We can wait, or not get any... at this point it is okay.

PERSPECTIVE!
WE ALL SHOULD GET SOME!
ESPECIALLY OUR SO-CALLED PRESIDENT!
WHAT IN LIFE IS TRULY IMPORTANT!
HUMAN BEINGS!
AND THEIR PETS!
