Sneaky Hubby of mine

Apparently, while I napped this afternoon Hubby had made a Rube Goldberg like winch contraption to remove the 30 gallon hot water heater a Rheem from its five foot height shelf perch.
He had Googled the specs that came in at ninety-five pounds for the empty water heater but due to its height and angle and the fact that Hubby does have a bad back he got it down the smarter not harder way!
He returned it this afternoon to Home Depot for $234 including tax refund, making our new forty gallon, also Rheem hot water heater come in at a little over $100 including tax when all was said and done.

What a deal, and so nice to know that companies still recognize what customer service is, and to have documentation of it all doesn't hurt either, that'll teach you to send in those warranty papers! I already sent the new one's in Saturday!

The only thing that bother's us is that when we were growing up water heaters lasted like twenty plus years, not only five or six.
I suppose the expression they don't make 'em like they used to, ya know could be a truism factor?
Although, we both have a theory, even though we are on city water and sewers the quality isn't that great.
Sediment, and too much chemical purification in the water reasoning might also have an affect on how long water using appliances last.
Just a possibility, who knows, but sounds plausible.

On that update of a good outcome for a change note, guess this year can turn around...allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy healthy safe good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
