HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

The history of this holiday is two-fold, literally...

The original Thanksgiving with the Native Americans and the Pilgrims happened at harvest in 1621 http://www.history.com/topics/thanksgiving and the holiday became an official American holiday declared by Abraham Lincoln in 1863 http://history1800s.about.com/od/abrahamlincoln/a/Lincoln-Thanksgiving-proclam.htm; yep, over two hundred years after that momentous happening. Weren’t we in the midst of the Civil War then? The whole timing of the when is quite curious; as many things in life are, but good for him just the same.

Ah presidents, not unlike men in general, can’t live with them and apparently we cannot live without them, hmm?

Get it guys?

A turn around of the old joke?

Oh well… any-who, the verdict is in!

And no, I am not speaking about Ferguson.

At times although I have been right there with all of you on the story watching and reading and all the other stuff that goes with another travesty of justice creating havoc with all the participants and anger without forethought and allowing intelligence to come through, and I am talking before and after the horrible death under suspicion of how to handle the end result by people who were not actually there, such as myself or many of the people who might be guilty of playing the game telephone and having the original message distorted of what actually occurred? I don’t know, but it reminds me of so many other protestors then called rioters reacting and making things even worse for so many other innocent people who were not responsible for what happen but somehow have been thrown into the mix of anger and bear the brunt of those overly reactive mobs mentality…nightmares of Rodney King who survived and begged his supporters to stop and of the race riots of 1965 in every major city that we left on our road trip across country that summer of ’65 on mostly route 66…

At first in my ridiculousness I thought perhaps the Ferguson they were talking about was Craig of late night TV fame and he had gone berserk for in reality he was sorry he had quit his ten year tenure on CBS late, late night after Letterman and wanted to really stay, huh?

Nah, a young man by the name of Brown was killed by a deputy named Wilson, and the deputy felt he had no other option, but, and there is always a BIG but a Facebook friend of mine reminded me, retired deputy’s wife that he could have used his Taser,

"Taser Definition

dictionary.search.yahoo.com
  1. A trademark for a brand of electronic apparatuses designed to cause neuromuscular incapacitation."

on the kid and the story result could have, would have been so much different, but the deputy stated he did not carry his due to its bulkiness or some other lame excuse… my in-house deputy said that as a marine patrol officer they could not due to Tasers and water not mixing very well… And so I am stymied, there has to be an answer and we as a nation have got to find a better way than kill twelve year olds due to their toys looking too real and all these other reasons that to me at times seem, unreasonable…But I am me and not in law or a tough kid who is a bully and very big and or a child who thinks pointing a toy at real police is funny, what do I know from both sides although we MUST find a way to change these horrid endings to these news stories with horrible endings to lives…! Just my unbiased opinionated opinion, again.

Oh wait, I started this talking about the verdict being in and then got sidetracked with my opinionated opinion, only fair to chime in after the rest of you, hmm?

Hubby said that our turkey dinner was better than any in any restaurant that he has been had in his whole sixty five years or something similar to that, not a direct quote so don't hold me to it, and in this house his opinion is the only one that matters/counts on subjects of that nature with mine on many others! LOL!

On that upbeat note allow me to wish all of you the best black Friday's ever and for the snow to stop long enough to max out your cards on those loved ones and that by going out and fighting for those deals while you whittle down those 3K plus calories you consumed in one sitting, AMEN!

Love to all seriously and drive carefully and watch your wallets…On those additional notes allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
