When we do favors all we expect is...

A thank you would be nice or even just simple recognition for helping out a friend.
But when that is not forthcoming we sometimes wonder why we did it at all to begin with, that is helped? We all know why though, don’t we, really; sure because we seriously wanted to be there for them and not for accolades or to be hailed a good friend.
Oh no, when we do help out a friend it should be because they need it and for no other reason… that is what good long time friends do!
Although, when they are a new or not that close to you friend, in the truest sense of the meaning of the word, ‘friend’ than that’s a whole different ballgame and a mere ‘thank you’ would be a nice touch from them or from you to them, hmm?
Facebook friends might become good friends, but let’s face it; it is a rarity, true? These are the people that we should be polite with when we do favors for one another the most and daily at times.

Posting personal things for people’s BIG benefit is a big deal. Most people on Facebook request sharing non-profit info and help with those types of projects, which is not personal, but better than that its ‘altruistic’ in nature and I usually always do that.
Last week I had the nerve to request help for Hubby in that contest for a garage makeover and today I reposted it again.
I suppose that is really a lot to ask of strangers.

Oops I did it again! It’s still on and we have not heard any different. You can go there and vote once again, I think, especially if you missed out the first time I posted it; I am shameless!

People sell things online all of the time.
But it is rare that I see that too much on Facebook.
Realtors sell homes from all over the world.
I know this since I have a few from Europe/UK etc. that are my FB friends as well as the US realtors too.
So if anyone is trying to sell their own real property it is not a bad venue for such things.

Interestingly, it is still a buyers’ market, since prices are still quite affordable as well as financing. The outrageous pricing of, let’s say about seven or eight years ago are no longer a factor, and so they’re many deals still available.
Homes that were in the million dollar range are now nearly half priced.
And so are all other homes, at all different price points.
Florida is a great buy for any person ready to relocate; with the weather here beautiful just about all year round.
Many international corporations are building here, not to mention we are the home to most all baseball spring training teams throughout our state… Sports of all kinds are available all year round, from ice hockey to football, American and the soccer types, etc. all water-sports including fishing and boating; you name we have it. Culturally we have museums, art galleries, live theater, orchestras, operas, chorales, film festivals, famous authors abound; using us as their winter retreats.

And you just thought we just had amusement parks, hmm?
Sure we have them too as well as water parks…
We have NASCAR and zoos too!

And so in closing, for tonight, helping each other is something we should do without thought, just do it without expecting a thing in return, but… a ‘thank you!’ could/should be a nice little touch.

Moving on…
DAY 6 OF THE SHUTDOWN, and now Hubby reported from the living room that the GOP wants us to default on October 17th!
In my unbiased opinion that they are absolute a—holes!

They cannot do what they were voted into office to do; perhaps some have forgotten; here it is …
That is to do what their constituents want them to do!
And right now that is to stop the shutdown and get the 800, 000 people back to work with full pay and settle the debt ceiling before the deadline of October 17th! And leave Obamacare alone, not to be in the discussion at all, since millions of us want it!

Don’t they hear us????

Now on that note of frustration, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
