Here I sit with my cooling vest on in my home...

The room I am in, the thermostat is stating that it is 86 degrees Fahrenheit, slightly warmer than the pool temperature I mentioned was just right for me, days ago. As I mentioned I put my cooling vest on about an hour ago after I told Hubby that the house felt rather warm to me, the thermostat at the time read 84 degrees on the inside read, outside it is ninety!

I had thought the central air unit was making funny noises just yesterday, and had mentioned it to Hubby, but he did not hear what I was hearing and dismissed it… hmm.

Even earlier he couldn’t hear the discord I heard, but I suggested he check the outside unit just the same.

He came in and said that I should put my cooling vest on that one of the blades was broken in the unit, but he felt he could fix it!

All these years it has been a rare occasion when we have had to call a repairman/person.

And so here I sit at this techno marvel writing with my vest on, iced club soda within reach, and the ceiling fan in two rooms plugging away and my ice packs for my neck and head nearby, hard to hold while writing and I am surprisingly able to manage knowing that all should be better sooner rather than later…

Although, I already, after Hubby got the model number and serial number off of the unit I did Google the company, Ruud, to see if they have a parts department and had our part if Hubby could not repair it.

They do and since it is over their cut-off price of $150 it would be free shipping, a good and bad thing I suppose, all in the way you look at it, hmm?

Fortunately, I had been saving these last two months for our eventual new car and have the money set aside, but here goes that emergency again!

I just put my squishy/soft iced pack on my neck, it is in a towel, and yes, I do have those silly scarves that swell when wet, but foolishly I put the two that I have in the freezer and they are as hard as a rock or more like frozen sausages! My thought was then they would be ready for the next time; little did I know that they don’t work like that. Each time you have to soak them in icy cold water.

Moving on to more important stuff… our world!

Hey folks the shut down looks imminent and damn it I am really sorry for that!

I wish there was more we could all do, any ideas?

Besides not voting in those goons for another term!  http://www.gop.gov/republicans

This just in: Hubby has replaced the damaged part that he has repaired and he is starting up the air-conditioner as I write; it will be moments till we know if it is working… hold onto your seats folks!

Did you know that Hubby worked as an apprentice plumber while going to the Academy of Aeronautics at La Guardia? Well he did; could be why we haven’t had to call for help, barely ever.

IT APPEARS TO HAVE WORKED, YAY!!!!!

Well, I suppose I need to disrobe, get your minds out of the gutter, that is from my vest and put its cold packs back in the freezer with my neck and head cold packs, issue resolved! Maybe Hubby would be willing to go to Washington D.C. to resolve that broken issue too?

Too bad it doesn’t work that way!

On that note of how we handle our own personal issues, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night, and pray that they in congress get their acts together before midnight, and kindly count all your blessings and share those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Remember this is how we let them know what we think: http://www.gop.gov/republicans
