Too busy trying hard to get the post in before seven EST due to the time change...

That I never catalogued our actual comings and goings yesterday and we did have many. We left early and went over to Lowe’s to purchase our fall/winter veggie garden supplies, plants and seeds. And Hubby did plant them all today. Our raised bed garden had been prepped weeks ago with all weeds and other non wanted materials removed or turned over. And at the same time or there about he proceeded to fill the beds with fresh compost from our very own stock, and added in the Preen, the weed deterrent and covered the two long beds over with plastic sheeting and secured it with additional cedar fence boards. And so that was why we stopped for plants and seeds, but also some paint for a reuse of two other yard items a chair to be repainted to used over by the veggie garden, a light teal/turquoise was chosen for that and those metal garden balls that we have needed a renewing, they appear to have too much rusting character and so I chose a neon hot pink for them. And the main gallon of paint, of glacier white, was bought for the walkway and front window sills. After that we went on to Sam’s Club for gas that went up a few pennies from my last gasbuddy.com check of a mere 3.27 it was as of yesterday at 3.33; still the least expensive while we road up route 41. Also Hubby ran in for our large Maxwell House coffee, 325, 6 0z. for under ten bucks and we buy two of those at a time, every few months since we have cut back on our coffee intake compared to what it used to be, due to the blood pressure issues for both of us. After there we decided to stop for lunch at Chili’s and again had a great deal from their seven dollar lunch menu. Hubby had two sliders with fries and a cup of soup and I had a house salad and a grilled chicken salad too… he had his coffee and me my unsweet iced tea with lemon, my usual. From there we went over to our last stop Publix for a shorter list of items since our produce was still great, even so we did have two coupons this time for $1 off one and $1.50 off the other item… last quickie stop was at ABC liquor for wine with their sale for our discerning tastes $6 a bottle for Liberty Creek, ha! Two things happened then when Hubby realized he still had the coupons for the grocery and I also looked at the receipt for the wine and it was not the sale price. We were still in the parking lot of the liquor store and so he went back in and showed them the receipt and a salesman came back to the location with him and said yes that he was right, someone had forgotten to take the sale price sign down and so they gave him the sale price and refunded the difference. The grocery is directly across and so he went back in there too and resolved the issue too, all right again with the world, big deal you say, and that’s okay… you have your kind of excitement and we’ll have ours. BIG SMILE HERE! Supper was easy we had bought a pound of bay scallops for $7.99 and froze the other half and so we cooked them up with our wonderful asparagus from the Farmer’s Market and added some mashed potatoes… easy and fast. Today was rather quiet to most of you but rarely left the news stations or the Internet info on our friends in the northeast and praying they would again somehow survive another onslaught of Mother Nature’s wrath… a few that had recently gotten power back on lost it again and more than 250,000 more lost power about 1000 flights again were cancelled but nothing like before during or after Hurricane Sandy, thankfully, Athena, yes now winter storms have name as of now, did not do as much harm as she could have. Please know that are prayers are with all of you and take care be strong and all should be figured out on your behalf’s before you know it! On that need to let others know that we all do REALLY CARE and always need more info, allow me to be the first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
