Just for the record: Progression is a series, sequence, succession, string, chain, development, evolution, headway, movement, advance, and to of course, progress.
And with that said so is the course of many illnesses.
A Facebook friend said something a while back that resonated so deep in my memory that I left it and let it just lie there for all this time…Multiple Sclerosis does progress or some such thing, she might have said she had multiple progresses, and yet I do believe it was specific to her own initial diagnosis.
Any-who, I see a neurologist who is very good in helping me with getting things that I have needed for the last few years medication, MRI’s, cooling vest etc… but her specialty is really Alzheimer’s and the only MS neuro in the county is not available. And so when asked about specific more recent needs she mentioned the other doc, who I said, was not available; she almost reminded me of the actress, Butterfly McQueen, as Prissy the maid in Gone with the wind with her famous line, “I don’t know nothing about birthin no babies!” Or some such similar line… Yep, and this is a woman who is a neurologist, but with a specialty in not Multiple Sclerosis, dementia. She sounded like she had done all that she could do for me and she had no more ideas up her educated sleeves, except PT, I have been fourteen times before I had the heat issue, she forgot, or pain management, steroids and I do not get along and with all that tainted stuff out there, nope! As far as the hard stuff goes, it nearly killed me even Advil put me in the hospital with bleeding ulcers…I rather do Lamaze or meditation.
My perception lately is way off and my sight is playing more hide and seek not to mention more often spasms and parathesia, and so…
Shoulders are very painful and I fell off the ramp this morning with my walker, and so…
And I keep banging into things with the walker and the scooter, and so…
Sometimes decisions are not as easy as one might think…
But even so after careful consideration to price, weight and ability of versatility we ordered my newest chariot for getting from point A to point B, a wheelchair and it should be here by next week… a busy one, week that is with blood work, delivery of my Copaxone, and doctor’s appointment to round it all out… by then the new doc/internist should have all my results to let me know what else I have to deal with, oh what fun…
Yes, my shoulders are behaving badly, but Hubby with be driving via my new chariot/wheelchair when we leave our abode and if I need him too indoors. You see, he has been using my seat of my walker to transport me to my bed when my spasms have been oh so horrid or my body gives out, and this will make it easier since, my walker says right on it, ‘NOT TO DO THAT!’ Actually, not to be used as a transportation device, newer ones are for both, if we had only known, hmm?
And on that TMI, please allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
