We went to the doctor’s appointment this afternoon and… my blood work is in the normal range and the thyroid ultrasound was practically perfect, no goiter.
Only two tiny cysts on my thyroid; inconsequential and my A1C actually went down from 6.0 to 5.8! My cholesterol is holding steady at 186, below the 200, although my HDL is only forty-five, due to not being able to exercise, but this doc was reassuring to me that it is what it is, no can do!
No liver or any blood problems what-so ever!
Gosh, who would have thunk that popping eighteen pills daily, plus a shot and red wine nightly would keep me in the pink! And yes the doctor does know about the wine and she was fine with it!
So we narrowed the neck problems down to either my cervical stenosis or my GERD and of course I could just accept the strangling sensation and spasms there are caused by my MS like my neuro feels. I guess I am in denial about that. It is more than likely that they all play a role in those weird symptoms; of course I do know that the burning sensations do have to do with the GERD and the spasms with the Multiple Sclerosis, but the strangling?
Oh we took, my new ride into the doc’ office for its maiden voyage, interesting how things have changed since the last time I was in one, back in 1997 down in the Keys, yep the Florida ones.
It was during that six month period that I was still not diagnosed with MS and I couldn’t walk and was in PT and so Hubby borrowed one so we could go on a short vacation, I think to lift my sagging spirits.
Everywhere we went people would talk to Hubby and ignore me as if not being able to walk took my brain with it, and so today was different.
People were older and so was I and they treated me as if no chair was there… we talked and the time went by swiftly.
I always found pleasant conversation makes the time go by quite nicely.
Any-who all in all after a short stop to pick up my thyroid prescription, waited on it since I did not know if it was going to be changed… we came home and ordered a pizza, so there! I do believe it is written somewhere that pizza and Greek salad are all part of a healthy Mediterranean diet, wine included, and so there!
On that silly truthful note, my truth and maybe yours too, allow me to be the first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
