Pizza anyone?

For years and years we have been ordering our occasional pizza from Hungry Howies, our very local one right here in Port Charlotte.
Hubby called in the order this late afternoon for a large works one for just ten bucks!
But within seconds he called back to tell them he had forgotten to say thin crust… And he was told it was too late it already went into the oven! For health reasons, I know we found the thin crust less harmful to us with so many problems, and we don’t eat it everyday but when we do we try for thinner.
Basically, what the fellow who later told me that he was the manager but then he told Hubby to either take it or leave it;
Hubby being disgusted hung up, and I asked if I could call them back and cancel and Hubby said sure.
Yep, I called back and asked to speak to the manager, who as I just told you was the same rude kid that said that to Hubby. The reason I mentioned that we didn’t want it now was a realistic fear that someone might spit on it! You know I am right, we have all heard those stories.
He said that it has already been charged to our account and would take three business days to be refunded.

Hubby got on the computer and acquired the phone number for the corporate office in Michigan, but the office was closed it being Sunday and all. Meanwhile he also happened to notice that of all the Hungry Howies in the local area were listed and that ours had only one star while the other two had, five and three stars each, hmm, tell you something?
Little did we know that, I do believe this child manager was a new guy, since we never had this problem previously.

Having that need for comfort food delivered we tried hard to find another pizza place, Luiggi’s that had their prices go up quite a bit over the last few years; originally they had been our favorite. And so I called them, and immediately asked, thinking perhaps that maybe that they had a special or not too much more than others today, as I said it had been years and so I inquired for the price on their thin slice with two toppings? And they put me on hold, for over ten minutes!
I hung up and Hubby and I reconnoitered and decided we would call our favorite Chinese restaurant, China City, which answered and took our order right away, and delivered our order in record time! Some Chinese things are better than others, so there, and ha!
Hope these comments don’t cause more controversy about Chinese products or such…kidding!

Any-who, they’re few of my faith who can go even a month without Chinese cuisine that is not to say that we do, we have been known to go for years without.

Moving on… dinner is a meal we always usually share making, or taking turns nightly.
Most breakfasts and lunches are our own choices, and we unite for dinner.
And so although we usually eat in more than out… sometimes when we are both truly exhausted we choose to call up and eat in… Hubby’s back is his disability and why he retired early, while mine is a multitude of ills, as most of you know… and so not to feel guilty when one prepares more often than the other we give it up to the outside world with the thought of helping the local economy also in the end, a twofer!

On that TMI for the evening, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
