I am so upset!

Why?
You are so boldly asking.
Not really, but I can pretend can’t I?
Anyway, it’s way too embarrassing…

Oh, alright if you must know… worry wart here is very concerned… about the fate of American Idol!
Now that two judges Tyler and Lopez have quit and they are saying that Jackson is not far behind!
Boo hoo, sadly, for me, any-who, not really… it has become a bit stale these last couple of years in my book, too harsh you say?
Think about it… I’m waiting, even the judges got bored with it!
After Paula left and than Simon, that should have been the hint, hmm?
Downhill from there I do believe, rats deserting a sinking ship, maybe?
My main concern is for that untapped talent not having anywhere to showcase their talents, oh wait… I hear ‘The Voice’ loud and clear, and a few other clones that have had much better ratings these last few years, hoorah!
So no worries for me or anyone else I do believe.
It makes good copy, a shake up there and puts it back into the forefront with many possibilities with even the Queen of Soul possibly taking a thrown/seat, but alas just talk… and who really knows what will be…
Let’s face it wisdom and talent and R-E-S-P-E-C-T from a person like the above mentioned would be a wonderful asset and who knows even I might begin to watch again! That is if she was asked and consented to perform on a weekly basis, showing the kids how it’s done, so to speak.
But talk is cheap and who would the other judges be…there’s the rub… the other possibilities have not given me much hope for the show to survive.
The Queens of Motown would be great to monitor the new peeps, but what about Cher or Mick Jaeger, for Rock and Roll, and Dolly or Reba for the country perspective or even Garth, gosh the well ain’t dry… the possibilities are endless! What about some of those old runners up like Adam or winners like Carrie?
On and on and on… so there is hope at the end of that long dark tunnel of slowly crumbling ratings… and so in closing of this topic that I spent way too much time on…BREAK A LEG good ole American Idol, since even if you actually do, you can still chirp out a melodious tune each and everyone of you!

Now to my other interesting topic; Saturday night Hubby and I had this idea to have some barbecue ribs, but since we hadn’t any in the house or freezer or fridge we decided to look at our take out menus for two of the restaurants that don’t deliver but are just around the corner from our palatial manor…The one we had enjoyed eating in as well as taking out from has had steadily rising prices and the one just next door to it was slightly more reasonable, and so can you guess probably what el cheapo here did?
You got that right I called the bargain one.

And I called it in and they asked for our phone number and I obliged; they said that in fifteen minutes that it would be ready so Hubby waited and then went down there to pick them up… but, as luck would have it they only had a half an order! The rest was sold out!
Now most would be angry, especially when the young woman insisted she had tried calling to tell us that was the case… and Hubby asked her what number she called and found out that she had copied it wrong!
So Hubby called me to tell me the dilemma and I suggested since he was already there to order it from the one next door, and so I called it in and while he was in the parking lot I told him on our ancient cell phones, ten years old I believe but they still work, that they said ten minutes and that is how we got Wally’s Barbecue dinner that night for a few bucks more.
But wait there’s more!
While Hubby apparently looked dejected while in the original restaurant the young woman apologized and said that she would speak to her manager, and today…
I received a phone call at our correct number offering us a free all inclusive meal the next time we felt the urge, therefore desire for ribs, how nice?
I did say that perhaps I did not speak so distinctly while giving the number to the young woman and perhaps the young woman was not at fault, but she said no I want to do this, and this was the manager at The Goal Post restaurant…thanks Keri!

So on that interesting tidbit of who knows what, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS both places serve delish ribs!
