Does that make sense to all you guys/hubbies out there?
Another little ditty of simplicity at its finest, just think about it if you make your spouse happy then hopefully they will return the favor and do it for you too, but not the reason to do it. We should do it because we honestly want to; alright the first reason was more accurate for most I guess…LOL!
I would really like to think that would be a given, since alls fair in love and war, well I believe these days at least it should be in love. War, on the other hand, in my mind according to that idiom doesn’t appear to ring true that all is fair in war that is; at least I haven’t seen any of that in all my years on this planet, but you all knew that for that I am sure.
When there is peace in the home the world is a better place and children benefit from that too.
Oh I am not saying that you should NEVER disagree, gosh you would have to be an IDIOT to just be a yes man or woman all of the time, and nobody wants or needs that.
But in my theory we should all try harder to make our mates happier and then that would only be beneficial for all concerned, to me that’s a no brainer, what do you think?
Sadly in the times we live in with all the rush here rush there mentality hardly seeing each other or only using technology for contact or seeing each other when exhausted and tempers flair… not a good thing.
A recent study did prove that working eleven hours or more a day is quite unhealthful and the study went so far as to say that you could cause a heart attack in either sex when overworked!
Who would have thunk it, when I used to work six days a week as much as sixteen hours a day! Boy I am sure happy that I am out of that rat race!
And that was when I worked for someone else; even more so when being in our own businesses we were apparently lethal in that regard with those horrifying long hours, but that’s what you do when you’re in your own business.
Actually, that expression which is my usual tongue in cheek recommendation momentous cause to become a ‘MAN’-tra, get it, ‘happy wife happy life’? I heard it mentioned by a gentleman on, ‘The Nate Berkus Show’ I believe that he said it referring to his wife’s over-shopping practice, and so I really can’t take credit for it, but I am sure he heard it somewhere before too. It almost sounds Asian in origin, which he was not, huh? But it isn’t here, copy and paste this, what a nice surprise: http://www.happywife.com/
Interestingly enough though for all of us in these trying times to rethink our interpersonal relationships with the ones who should be the closest to.
On that little thoughtful tidbit I would like to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all of your blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, L7, ya hear?
Speaking My Mind is about: Tobi, who is a middle aged, no, oh all right a slightly over the hill woman with all the imperfections that go with that, and this concerns her daily life's perceptions and experiences.
