I have to put on hold, forgive?
Any-way, today we did leave our mini manse for the outer world that is outside of our homestead and humble locale.
We oddly enough went north again to Englewood Florida on the Sarasota side once again for they had another smaller 16 th Annual Cracker Fair, meant for the cattle drivers cracking their whips in the air for gathering the cows, nothing nefarious there.
Although the thrill was gone when one stall, had too many Confederate flags, it made me wince, sorry to any who think that I am wrong. But to me it is a horrid example of hatred for black people and to me it seems that the ones who enjoy what those flags represent believe that slavery was right, so I cringe, shudder and moved on....and I am not even African American, imagine or we all do know how awful that makes anyone of the African American race feel, and we are in the month of Black History! Every day is Black History! Not very well thought out.
Think people if it were you; try to relate?
So I did not take any pictures, perhaps I should have?
We did eat lunch before seeing that atrocity at the fair; we ate at the Mango Bistro on Dearborn Street:http://mangobistro.com/site/
Our meal took a little longer getting to us, but they were just hit with an entire soccer team coming in for lunch at the same time, and the wait in the end was certainly was worth it!
We even sat outside, not because of any little four legged hairy ones with us, since we still are childless, and we no longer smoke for years, but it was just so darn beautiful outside today!
We both had iced water with lemons, and Hubby had a roast beef with portabella mushroom on marble rye sandwich, and I had half of a lobster wrap, instead of a roll, with red onion, tomato, and fresh spinach, and a half a cup of lobster bisque, mmmmmm! Half of mine came home and I just finished it for dinner.
Hubby is probably going to snack.
We rode around and noticed how nice everything there was kept in Englewood Florida the Sarasota side.
Our home is sixty years old this year, and some of those neighborhoods are too and similar in style as ours, but somehow they looked neater and more loved.
Hubby thinks they may have less of a transient neighborhood.
After all they escaped the last several hurricanes over the last couple of decades, while our area was either directly hit or harmed slightly in some unfortunate ways.
The only explanation we could come up with, and one does tend to wonder about such things.
You see, that after our home was destroyed by Hurricane Charley 8-13-04, a Friday, ten miles away in most any direction they were unscathed so until they actually got out and drove around they did not even know why so many of us were devastated. Most were in their own little world.
That is the truth about understanding others plights, opening up our eyes and putting ourselves in the other persons place!
Again just ramblings of a woman who has way too much time on her hands, ha!
Happy good night to all and to all share those blessings and we will too!
Next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
