And so shall we…nothing new there, hmm...
If you are waiting for me to
follow that up with something poignant you may be waiting quite awhile.
Sometimes I feel the need to
express the obvious.
Oh come on, you do too!
Every
time I look at those quotes and notes you all post I have had a many a déjà vu
experience, you too I suspect; ahhhhhh, honesty, what a concept, hmm.
You
know it’s true.
Any-who,
coming up with ideas for this hacking nightly journalistic, and I use the term
loosely, love of mine is sometimes not as simple as you might think.
Many
a night I create something from nothing, most nights actually…
Oops
did I say/write that out loud.
Never
mind.
Love
those two simple words due to whom they remind me of… Gilda Radner, a
hysterically funny woman who I knew only from afar of her being one of the
members of the NRFPTP, not ready for prime time players on SNL, Saturday Night
Live, circa 1975-1980; she, had her reign in the beginning of its inception. What
a talent!
And
this weekend SNL will be celebrating their fortieth anniversary and oddly
enough Hubby and I will be celebrating our forty-fourth, wedding anniversary that is!
Gilda
Radner died way too young a little over a month before her forty-third birthday
back in 1989, from ovarian cancer. For more info, I recommend going to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilda_Radner
Many
have issues with Wikipedia but since I am not as bright as the rest of you I
find the information gleaned there to be helpful at times, but not always.
I
do use many other sources for looking up many interests of mine when posting
here most all nights, but for a quickie look-up I can only believe their information
to be as accurate as whoever enters or edits it, as everything else written on
here the Internet, true.
Which
brings up a well regarded newsman, NBC’s Nightly News from New York, Brian
Williams, who Hubby and I have been watching for years, we are saddened for his
missteps/speaks on the job, but many well respected news people have been in
that same situation over these many years. Some facts are easy enough to check
and others may not be, and so whenever we watch anything or look up anything
there is always the possibility that the info we think or feel is right on
target later on can be disproved as accurate. His was a self story elaboration
and I do not believe he wasn't out to get an award for bravery or had any other malicious intentions.
In
the long run though I do not believe that Brian Williams spoke of his
recollections to make us feel this way or that about him but not to be anointed with
heroism, perhaps his addition to a harrowing experience that he witnessed or
presumed that he did, oh I don’t know...who am I to judge him, really.
Sadly
too many depend on these mere humans to be infallible, are you?
No!
And neither am I, heaven knows I am definitely NOT!
None
of us are.
Over
the last several years that I have been doing this blog I found myself finding
inaccuracy in our local on air journalist reports and I have caught them in
their mistakes, and insisted that they should be better than that, since they
get paid and I do not.
But
if we all think about their lives as trying so hard to inform us when it is
happening nearly immediately, come on how in the world can any of their sources
consistently have that absolutely without flaws information available.
If
we were able to truly use a time machine or be beamed immediately like in the Star Trek
movies/shows to where the event is happening to me that is the only way we
would know the absolute happenings occurrence and who, what, why and when and
where all of the events.
But
since that is not yet available to my knowledge and we most of us do not want to
put ourselves in harms way, we will continue to have to rely on whatever
reliable sources exist at this time, and they are vast, as we all know!
In
closing this tonight these are just my thoughts out loud, no different than any other night.
On
that note of whatever floats your reliability boat, allow me to be the very
first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly
count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we
will too!
And
next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
OR...
NEVER MIND!
