Believe!

Word dissection time once again…but I do ‘believe’ that you will like this one!
Now take the word, ‘BELIEVE’, it is a wonderful word with a broad spectrum of meaning, such as: consider, think, suppose, deem, judge, accept as truth, trust, have faith in…WOW!
When we think about such things this is the one of those all encompassing self explanatory declarations of a remark that sells itself by the pure utterance of its sound, believe… say it with me, be---lieve, just the thoughts of its powers of what its intentions presume, hmm?
Smile when you say that partner!
Why to believe is of course to have faith in…what, why oneself, and the world and that all will turn out well and right and that life will not always be this crappy, Geez I almost said that sh-tty word! One has more of a cringe factor power than the other though, and so tis the season to not curse!
We all agree?
Right, right.

Being a believer in something anything is somewhat of a beginning to happiness, right?
Take it from me though, if you believe in yourself as a decent upstanding person and follow through with the concept that that entails all the other beliefs will follow!

Now, I just want to interject here that Best Buy has apologized to all its customers that have not been able to receive their ordered products on time for Christmas and will be following through with an appropriate course of action. And so they have taken the high road after a BIG Mistake, not necessarily of their doing, but their responsibility just the same. I believe in your judgment to correct what happened, Best Buy and our experiences with you in our recent past have been all good. When we needed a new hard drive a year ago November their Geek Squad gave us the information to be able to do it at a realistic price and with intellectual informative action on our DIY ability, or I should say Hubby’s! This year, about a month ago when we thought that we needed new TV antennae and found out the pixeling problem was more than likely an anomaly or weather related or a ghost and temporary and so we returned the antennae without any fanfare or problems and within days the reimbursement appeared as a credit on our account!
You Guys, Best Buy…you do what you know you can do so well… I believe in you!
As well as we all should since most of the time they are knowledgeable and priced right.

Any-who… moving on…
Believing as you can tell from above is a very personal thing, in that fact that we all chose who or what we care to believe in, hmm?
But I jest.
Most, especially at this time of the year, but it really should be all year long… believe in things, like miracles and stuff more powerful than that!
The Almighty comes to mind, and he/she has many names by many different people in this world, but whatever you call that one entity of your FAITH, you believe.
And we all know no one can touch that, since it is not tangible, but is somewhere deep in our hearts and souls and we just know.
That’s what everyone can agree on, it’s not something you can see smell hear or touch it just is…How wonderful is that?
But some don’t have that faith or belief and there is nothing wrong with that, since a true believer is accepting of all others, right?
You betcha!
So believe what is right and good and wholesome and for you.
Because as a being on this planet we should all have that ability and respect all others too…
Some say LOVE IS GOD, and well that could be true, personally I would like to BELIEVE that and what the heck, why don’t we all try it…or not…your choice!

On that reasoning of hope, love, happiness and belief, allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Blanks and dizzy is the mode of the night...

Dizzy is easy to explain with me…I bent my head down and I nearly passed out, I had knocked into Skipper’s dry dog food dish (plastic, I’m no fool) and foolishly I was trying to pick it (the food) up.
Good thing he eats dry food, otherwise boy it would definitely be a bigger mess than it was; Hubby got my back and put it all back…I am a poet and I know it, ha!

Blanks, yep me with tonight’s blog topic, I couldn’t come up with something I felt was worthy of your read. I know… but… I want to please you!
And that is ingrained in us gals, but I saw today where our First Lady has taken it upon herself to make all of us little girl-minded people who thought we were not worthy to be considered putting ourselves first, should, like she does.
The information gleaned this time was from Barbara Walters’ interview snippet of her tomorrow night’s 20/20 Show, shown on her daily show, The View!
What an incredible woman, Barbara, is herself, hmm?
Our First Lady says that putting herself first makes her a better, healthier, more rested, happier person, and therefore better Mom, wife, daughter, sister and person; and you know something it makes sense. Not a direct quote but you get the gist…
So I declare that all women do whatever it takes for you to be happy, why let’s not stop there …MEN should do it TOO!
And then we will all be better people, what do you say?
Nothing to lose, might as well try it, hmm?

It looks like the government guys and gals got a vote that should hold people over for a while, at least we all hope so… two months worth, we need more decisive behavior people!
Maybe they should put themselves first? To be happier and better at what they do…?
Wait a minute, they have been and that’s why they have been forgetting about the rest of us…NOW I am sooo confused!
What’s right?

We had been taught that we should always put others first or we would be considered selfish, but the First Lady makes a good point too…hmm… This is a hard one and I am still dizzy from that other thingy I did earlier… and so I cannot think straight on such important topics… can you?
And so I do believe that I will make this a shorty tonight and wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Happy third night of Hanukkah! We had some more of the brisket, boy there was so much that we froze the rest tonight and yes there was more… And to think that the whole thing was only a little over two pounds and they shrink when cooking slowly for three hours, but this one is going on and on and on…I hear a song coming on, oh no, too dizzy to sing, nighty night!

Amongst the last minute shoppers are the spoilers...

Not the patrons of ye olde shops, oh no, they are not thee spoilers; thy shop owners are…
I hear tell that due to thee shop of thee new fangled mechanical objects of extreme devilish abilities are to blame for the public is not enabled to fill their desire of ownerships of these Satanistic objects called ‘electronics’.
They that mysteriously make people not intermingle with thou offspring, siblings and matrimonially bestowed.
Ah, the higher power has intervened on these last days before thy Lord of thou Divinity’s birthday celebration is to be heralded, in just four more days!
Me does thinketh that it is posibilith that he thy father of all Christianity may be wondering why…
Have we all forgotten that our purpose is to remember his messages that have been to all who care to recall it and to listen to what he proclaimed?
That love, family, caring for each and everyone of us without prejudice and faith in ourselves should be our gift to each other and thy self.
Life is to be one of giving but not when we no longer canith, when have no materialistic possessions we can be cleansed and giveth from thee heart and soul.
Being of thy good nature will make thy savior most appreciative.
Remember that thee is living life now for entrance into heaven’s gate, and so think before you do and repent when you know that you should.

Gosh, this ye olde language ain’t as easy as they made it seem in those old movies, hmm?
But in current ye neuvo speak, me thinks that Best Buy has some explaining to do about they’re not fulfilling their orders of their customers and now they all appear to be considerably PISSED (Cringe factor, BIG TIME), their customers that is, but that’s what’s going on!
Shame on you, Best Buy!

Any-who, the holiday for most of the planet has its eve in three more nights and the big day in four more, whew, that sure went swiftly!

While slow and steady Hanukah continues on its second night…last night we had brisket and tonight we had latkes, wow!
Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
Oh you are wondering about those eight night’s of presents?
Why, I want and need for nothing but the love of family and a roof over my head and the ability to regulate the room temperatures and food in the fridge, and guess what?
I got almost all of that, and that is what I consider my gold, and until you don’t have any of that you don’t realize what is truly important in life, simplicity!

I wish that for all of you too!

On that note of sharing my truth allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!

‘Festivus for the rest of us’ (Seinfeld Show); on this second night of Hanukah!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

The Phoenix in all of us...

For those living under a rock a Phoenix is: “A phoenix is a mythical bird with a colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet (or purple, blue, and green according to some legends]). It has a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again.” Thanks to Wikipedia.com for a clarification.
Most of us know a bit about the Phoenix rising anew from the flames to live again and I am sure that during our life spans we all have at one time or another felt a smidge as if we too have to risen above all that had set us metaphorically ablaze!

I know a gal currently who happens to have graduated from the University of Phoenix and also who happens to be a Phoenix herself, since Leukemia and Progressive Multiple Sclerosis has not kept her from rising above those flames that would engulf many of us others… since her inner strength also has her dealing with her own husband that is also disabled and that she has proven her metal over and over again as they both are each others’ caregivers… some people are just sooo amazing, literarily!
But they do not stand alone although their circumstances are unique unto them, sadly there are too many others.
Many I know, right this minute, are also dealing daily with caring for family or friends in many difficult incomprehensible daily challenges and rise above to continue on to the next day, miraculously?

No, not at all, unless you consider that the all mighty never gives anyone more than they can handle; then I suppose divinity has a hand in all of it.

Do you know something?
Until you are tested one never knows what their true capabilities are.
We are all more than we suspect, for this I am more than sure; daily we see examples that prove this.

Why I have two other Facebook friends that have lost loved ones, one a few years ago, a spouse and another just recently, her son. Incredibly horrendous life altering experiences, but they called upon the things that make us; us… strength, resilience, perseverance and the need to go on for ourselves and others who love us…
WE ARE ALL PHOENIXES!
In the mythological bird type of rising from the deaths of misery to go on and on…no matter what.
All of us have horrendous experiences at one time or another in our lives which we think, in the moment all is lost… but in reality it’s never ever the case.
Someone cares somewhere you must find them or that person within yourself to go on.
We all have that courage; sometimes it is just deeper inside than we realize, but we can draw on it we reach far enough.

Daily I hope and pray that I too will find the Phoenix in me, since I am up and then down and spun all around and then I think of my Texan pal and say to myself that I can do this if she can too.
Life is not easy when things are going smoothly but throw some crap (cringe factor, but that’s what it all is, hmm?) into the mix and we sure need to think on how to do it better that is to try harder to think of ways to mind our settings of our brains working overtime creating havoc with our personal issues in life… that we all have!

And so on this first night of Chanukah let me be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages and we will too!

Happy Chanukah to all who celebrate!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

Ideas...ideals...idealistic...

Ideas...ideals...idealistic... Those were Hubby’s choices for a topic.
And so I have to give him a break and go with his suggestion… tis the season to please, hmm?

Ideas are thoughts, designs, plans, schemes, suggestions (Like this of Hubby’s), proposals, initiatives, inspirations, brainchild, and of course my favorite, brainstorm!

Ideals are quite different since they are principles, standards, morals and ethics.

Idealistic has also a totally different meaning, since it is being naïve, unrealistic, romantic, impractical and optimistic.

Sad when so many positive sounding ‘ideas’ that some feel are ‘ideals’ are considered unrealistic, therefore such as being ‘idealistic’, gosh and so unfortunate too! Whew was that a mouthful or what?

Now, I think that I have fulfilled my commitment to his ‘idea’ of a topic, due to his ‘ideals’ of his ‘idealistic’ concepts, don’t you?

Enough already; I hear you yelling!
Actually, by now you all do know that I can’t hear you at all.
But I do know how many of you think, I think.

So I will be moving on…
My eyes ‘appear’, interesting choice of words, hmm, to be doing better with my latest dosing of my antibiotic nightly salve, night three is tonight, and I must keep count since it is to be done for seven days.
I suppose that that should not be a surprise to me, since that is what it’s supposed to do…
Redundancy, oops, it ‘appears’ to be back! HA!

Any-who, what did you all, do this week before Christmas day?
Or those who celebrate Hanukah with just three days to go and let us not forget that Kwanza starts in eight more days and how are you all doing too?
I can well imagine that most of you have been rushing around diligently with preparations for the big days, hmm?
But in you rush to accomplish let’s not forget why we are doing all of this… for the one with the most toys gets to heaven first, right?
Kidding, nah, we all know we do it for the joy of giving and love of family and friends, or at least that’s what we tell ourselves and all those peeps around us, wondering too!
Fooling you all… how I love to mess with you.
NO one is making any of you do what you do it is purely from the goodness of your own hearts.
Why Toys for Tots and other organizations for all who need to know that they are cared about are having record years of giving, and so does that mean the recession is over?
YIPPEE!
We spend more when we know that all is well, hooray!
Sharing is also a sign that our current president is doing what we all hired him for change and I guess that with the sales and charitable giving going as well as I hear, all is finally well!
Well, yell and spread it around the world all is truly well and we can spend like there is no tomorrows and give till it hurts, since we know that all will be fabulous for us all with jobs and the economy and health programs and the senate and congress will make the right decisions for all Americans!

That’s my fantasy, what’s yours?

Here’s a reality for you: our soldiers are coming home from Iraq!
We only spent more than eight hundred billion dollars and lost more lives than on 9/11/2001.
Osama Bin Laden is dead, and so is Saddam Hussein too and many of those other bad people… so that too is fact.
Life is good, don’t get me wrong, but ideas and ideals and idealistic behavior has to be tempered with what we do know…
Dreams are for dreamers and we should all be… especially now, but no, always… with pleasant dreams.

On that I have no ‘idea’ of those ‘ideals’ that we should share without causing ‘idealistic’ behavior to be a negative… allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to count all those blessings and kindly share all those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS Dear government employees that we hired by voting you all in, please enjoy your holiday vacations, and try hard not to think about all the people that you left hanging without knowing what’s what, but you all have a very nice time off! YOU HEAR ME? Big smile hear, with an adult tongue sticking out…!
You try it, it is possible! HA!
And if you don’t mind me saying come back with some ideas, ideals and a little bit of idealism, hmm!

It's been awhile ...

Since I have fessed up about my medical issues and so tonight I will give you some updates.
Being one of many ills I think it only fair to mention that somehow and this is just a supposition on my part, but I think that my chronic sinus problems have to do with my compromised immune system due to the Multiple Sclerosis, which is an autoimmune disease.
And that does seem logical to me.
Last night again after less than a week of stopping my antibiotic salve for my eyes I awoke around three A.M. with both of my eyes burning, nose too and ears feeling like they were full of something dreadful!
Horrible and very yucky!
So remembering that the eye doctor said that the medicine had three refills and could be used when I needed it, it appeared to be the right time to put it back into my arsenal of medications by applying it immediately!
And so I did, and I was good for another three hours of zzz’s and awoke at six on the dot!
Blurry eyed still with that Vaseline imaging now in both eyes from the salve.
Maneuvering around the house and on here was, I must say, a wee bit challenging to say the least!
Of course it was hours until I could prove my theories and I did, of course, the eyes and nose and ears are all connected! WOW, is it just me or I bet you all knew that already, hmm? LOL! HA!
The eye involvement in my case though has been waiting in the wings apparently, until the wind and whatever thrusted it into the fold, via my outdoor adventure out on that little too breezy day over a week ago, and so now I am a total head wreck and I am not speaking figuratively; I really feel that way!
Boy, am I glad that I got that flu shot way back in September…another big ha!
What I would like to know is when are they going to come up with the inoculation against chronic sinus infections, huh?
And of course it’s the weekend and I will again have to wait until Monday to seek medical intervention.

In spite of this problem, yesterday Hubby did go back to Jo-Anne’s Fabric and Crafts and bought two yards of the fleece, enough extra for a pillow, still for the whole shebang about ten bucks, but the matching thread and needed staple of white thread put us over; a bit around seventeen. Did you know that darn thread is like $2.79 a spool, crazy?

Now to be fair, when I get next to my nearly forty year old sewing machine, yep, still works Hubby bought it for me when I was expecting baby number one, in those days we didn’t know if we were having a boy or a girl, since they didn’t have the ultrasounds then I think…oh the sewing machine breaks jams up or goes kaflooey when I touch it and so Hubby took over the machine, I suppose that’s why it’s a ‘machine’, men do better with them, ha, not really but it sounded good at the time!
And what we got from the cut off piece is something that looks like a short body pillow or long bolster that matches the throw, just right!

Oh and I did get some better news while at the eye doctors, when my left eye was tested in August my sight in spite of that cataract lens thingy fogging up was still 20/40 then, but last week was 20/20 and so they also said that according to my eye working, and results in that were still sealed in that envelope for the license bureau said according to his findings that I could drive with that one eye, but he has no bearing on my legs strength being my eye doctor and I do and so even though the sealed letter is still in the car… I would not want to be on the road with someone like me driving, would you? About a year ago I did try driving again when I still had an active legit license, but my legs weren’t strong enough and I couldn’t get past fifteen miles an hour and the speed limit even in our neighborhood is thirty!
Hubby being a retired law enforcement officer used to tell me how many people out there shouldn’t be driving with devastating physical/health issues, but were and there were way too many traffic deaths due to that.

So I am good with him driving and since he now is fully covered with his insurance if he has an emergency I will call an ambulance, and then we have Dial-A-Ride too… so we have got a plan.

Thinking ahead here… and so allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and to kindly share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?

PS I do believe tonight is another movie night and we will be seeing the prequel to Planet of the Apes, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Gosh I watch that kid James Franco so often lately especially on General Hospital, what an amazing brilliant talented easily bored kid, hmm? We have been seeing pretty great movies, like: Cowboys and Aliens and Super Eight all in the last couple of weeks… but I am sure you have been seeing them too!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi...

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
