BIG mistake!

Ya know in all my history of gardening I do not recall ever starting lavender from seeds.

And so when they came yesterday, and fortunately I had ordered two packets of them, @ $4.99 a piece I foolishly did not read the directions. To be honest, though, nothing new is there, for me,... as my history will show, that over the years, I have not been big on reading directions I usually just forge straight ahead on getting whatever is in front of me done!

Zoom, zoom, zoom not unlike a Mazda but not as accurate, ha!

Any-who, filling my cute little clay decorative pots with pebbles for drainage and coffee grounds for extra acidity, potting soil with Miracle-Gro for a great start was not necessary! Nor was the fact that I took the time to plant some lavender seeds in each of the six starter pots...nope, not needed, and way too soon!

I decided, for no known reason to me, to read the instructions, and that was fortunate that I hadn't also planted the other package in the garden. I figured for a split second what could hurt???

Happy I read the instructions before I did that,... for a BIG CHANGE, for according to them the lavender seeds needed to be started on a wet paper towel folded up and packaged in a plastic bag and to remain in the fridge for three to four weeks and then planted!!!

Oops!!!

Double OOPS, WITH A CHERRY ON TOP!!!

So I went from the first picture below to the next two below that! Is this one of those times that reality bites? Not such a pretty picture, hmm? Anyway, I also added to the pretty pots below a petal from my jade plants in each one to hold the space, yes a "place holder"! Oh, that plastic spoon is from take-out that we never used,... We live in such a vacation spot that they automatically put them in with your meal if you forget to tell them no, thank you! So I put a few in the drawer to help with planting. The pointy end makes the holes for seeds, while the spoon end helps to sprinkle in the coffee grounds or whatever.

The seeds should be ready around October 29th thru to November 5th to finally plant; I hope I don't forget!

Today my watering can is getting here, rather pretty, it is gold in color but actually stainless steel in its metal. Good for inside or outside! Bought on Amazon, not as expensive as you might think, under fifteen dollars including tax!

My rope bucket with purpose! Potting soil, don't worry I put the lid on it!

Hubby's stepping stones in the garden!

Moving on...

Please don't question my sanity, I know not easy, hmm? LOL

After doing some short-term studying it is a fact that not all dogs know how to swim automatically, that's a misnomer that they do!

These three below, our fur babies, pictures, and their background is shown below, they have not wanted to go into our pool like our previous doggies did. Or even go into the shallows when out on our boat that has been rare these days going out due to the heat!

And so I bought them each a new floatation life jacket, in X-small, small and large that are coming today too, as per Chewy.com with their usual food and Aussie's glucosamine order.

I know many might think I am jumping the gun, but every disaster is causing me to be a bit more concerned, so far we have not flooded, but that doesn't mean we won't, and I just want to be safe with them and prepared, ya know?

Hope FEMA doesn't read this and raise our flood insurance premium that we have been paying since we have been in this house for twenty-three years this December! And in all that time we have never ever flooded or had any flooding claims! Uh oh, again I hope I am not jinxing us!!!

Even with our other dogs' swimming, we had life jackets but they were not floatation ones.

Moving on again...

Absurdity in its truest form!

It is light today, forgive.

And so we must go, for now.

Please be smart, as well as safe.
Have a very pleasant day.

Count those blessings, and we will too!
Next time, please be here or be square; ya hear!

Aussie, say good day!

I am Aussie, not being from Australia, but American-made, I will comply anyway for the fun of it, so I will say good day!

I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me in the crate at the adoption site that day what she thought I should be named? And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way, so my Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though, some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. And here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter.
Below is my new PIC, which had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, on his brother's birthday.
3 months................................................ 3 years

No tail/tale publishing, circa 2018.
Get it? I was born without a tail, preferable for all Australian Shepherds; only one out of five are born that way!

Hello, I am Bella in the picture above, a Maltese Yorkie, a Morkie, and I might be five years old. I am the middle child, so I am what you would expect, with all those idiosyncrasies that go along with all that! Being the only girl has its rewards, as well as difficulties... We are all rescues, so no one knows for sure our ages. I was turned in by my previous family, stating that I was misbehaving with their elderly dog, they had said I was driving him crazy! I was the second to be adopted on 8/18/18, on clear out the shelters' day!
Oh, by the way, my record's called me Belle, and so for no known reason, Mom decided I was more of a Bella; beautiful either way!

Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-a-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.

I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living-room window, so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?

The animal control lady had been called and came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!

Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
