Things that interest me do not always interest others...I get that!

I belabored a topic for two whole days, please forgive my ridiculous allotment of time wasted.

So now I will move on to another topic that I am more than sure many could care less about!

My unusual sleep patterns, again I awoke at 12:30 A.M. and could not will myself back to sleep, and so I gave up for several hours.

Until 4:30A.M., while in the living room recliner, I found my eyes nodding off, uncontrollably my peepers would not stay open!

I bet you know what I did, hmm?

You got it! I dragged this dead-weight body off the recliner and back into my cozy warm bed!

I fell pleasantly asleep for a whole hour and fourteen minutes!

Some, not many, might be wondering why I woke up in the first place?

My stomach, it had been complaining most of yesterday even with my gastroenterology chosen medications of Nexium, Gas-X, and Pepcid complete I ingested, and it still grumbled!

I couldn't eat any dinner, and yes some may think that is why.

Hubby and I have decided we eat too much!

Our food bills are embarrassingly high!

I am talking groceries, not pick up!

And so sometimes, just lately, we skip a meal.

And that is healthier we believe at our ages.

I have been maintaining my weight although now I have finally lost a bit more, and believe me when I tell you, that I have at least twenty more pounds to lose...on the BMI chart I am heavy, not obese, and Hubby is just right. Both Hubby and I watch our weight via our digital scale.

Mostly we keep losing and gaining back the same few pounds! LOL

Of course, being more active and eating less by portion control is the right way to lose weight.

But my inability to be as active as I once was is my issue due to the MS creating havoc with my inability to walk. Although, I do vacuum and do laundry, and wash the floors with our mop system. Hubby always has physical projects to do.

Today we rearranged the living room and dinette, due to ordering a white microfiber power recliner loveseat.

The manual ones I ordered last March when we had to get rid of our other furniture due to the mold issue were a BIG mistake for us oldies. Hubby has a bad knee and for me, everything does not work anymore. Pushing those legs down is difficult, to say the least, plus it takes up too much room since we had to put an end table in between the two! The new one is all in one and shorter, with a small section in the middle for the TV controller and cup holders, like our old set had.

We haven't had any electric outages yet since we got them, my main reasoning for wanting manual. So they wouldn't get stuck in their upright position!

Silly, I know, but it had happened with our old set. The motor even had broken and it took a while to get another one! Fortunately, when we were told the old set had mold before throwing them away, Hubby removed all four motors from them!

So now we will have a few backups!

It will be another month until it comes in. I took advantage of the holiday for a pretty good sale price, of over two hundred dollars less than Overstock had it for. The monies were not all spent from the insurance last year and so this one is covered. Although, I took the twelve-month no-interest payment plan instead. I always round up those plans, so I pay it off a little bit faster.

Moving on...

Yesterday's progress on the pool saltwater conversion...

And so we must go, for now ...

Please be smart, as well as safe.
Have a very pleasant day.

Count those blessings, and we will too!
Next time, please be here or be square, ya hear!

Aussie, say good day!

I am Aussie, not being from Australia, but American-made, I will comply anyway, for the fun of it,... so I will say good day!

I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site, that day, what she thought I should be named. And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,... some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but... as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
3 months................................................ 3 years

No tail/tale publishing, circa 2018. (Although, the actual date this blog started was June 25, 2008.)
Get it? I was born without a tail, preferable for all Australian Shepherds; only one out of five are born that way!

Hello, I am Bella in the picture above, a Maltese Yorkie, a Morkie, and I might be five years old. I am the middle child, so I am what you would expect, with all those idiosyncrasies that go along with all that! Being the only girl has its rewards, as well as difficulties... We are all rescues, so no one knows for sure our ages. I was turned in by my previous family, stating that I was misbehaving with their elderly dog, they had said I was driving him crazy! I was the second to be adopted on 8/18/18, on clear out the shelters' day!Oh, by the way, my record's called me Belle, and so for no known reason, Mom decided I was more of a Bella; beautiful either way!

Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-of-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.

I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window, so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?

The animal control lady was called and came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!

Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
