Please, folks, don't answer that!
I bathed three dogs just a few minutes ago, not altogether, I might add...
In mixed up order too.
But according to how I know how well behaved they are about having a bath.
So middle-sized Chance the Bichon Frise was first... he nearly smiles when he is in the bath that is done in our roll-in shower that is a 4'X6' masterpiece, with a bench seat Hubby made a few years ago for me!
Bella is next, our little Morkie, Maltese Yorkie, and the smallest one, with her you are never sure if she will be in attack mode, since she is the one who tries hiding, and has growled and shown her teeth at times.
Oddly enough, once on the towel, on the bench, she relinquishes her concern and relaxes to enjoy it. Her final reaction is as if she could talk is like aahhh, that was great mommy!
Aussie, our full-sized Australian Shepherd, stands in the shower for me. His days of being on the bench have been long gone, he's way too big... he is playful when I grab him for his bath and kids as if he will hide but then comes willingly and you can tell that he does enjoy every minute of it! Again another pup with a smile planted on his beautiful face!
After I was done, I washed all their brushes and comb and scissors in vinegar... my electric sensations began again!!!
All their bedding is washed too, on those three orthopedic beds that zip off, they have including the fake white sheepskin we have on our bed for them.
Once dry I will be brushing them all again, before and after is how it goes...!
The crazy part is that the baclofen has not kicked in yet!
And my legs are as stiff as if I had them in casts all the way down from above the knees to my feet!
And my right shoulder is nasty too!
But this is the only thing Hubby won't do, although he has... but he does everything else around the house.
The kids were so itchy despite the Frontline and they are due for another dose next Saturday. Their shampoo is the oatmeal type.
We spoke to the company, and they said we can also use Adams with it safely and so I have.
Although I have not seen any fleas or ticks on any of them, those sticker plants make them itch, and the Adams is also good for warding off mosquitoes, which the Frontline is not.
It is nearly always summer in Florida weather-wise. And the mosquitoes carry many dangerous diseases, so they too have to be kept off of our fur babies, as well as us!
And so, we must go, for now ...
I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site, that day, what she thought I should be named. And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,...some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but...as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-of-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.
I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window, so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?
Now my name of Chance is because I was given another chance, it could be only the second one or perhaps more... The animal control lady came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!
Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
