A dichotomy of confusion, in my bed, wondering how this can be... I still have stiff legs again, four days after the doctor had given me 10% more medication that was installed in my pump and now my blood pressure is very high! You see, mine is usually low.
If I had been overdosed by my last baclofen medication added my legs would be limp, not stiff!
My first blood pressure was 141/88, bad but not too, so I waited a while and then took it again 138/103, this I decided was crazy so I took it one more time 168/75!
So I put away my second cup of coffee, not to be finished until my blood pressure stabilizes, and so I took a shower since that usually calms me.
And now my blood pressure is down again but still a bit high to 146/75.
The dilemma is should I contact my doctor?
What would you do?
According to what I read, in an overdose of baclofen into your pump, your reaction would be limp legs and high blood pressure.
Now can you see my dilemma, my legs are still stiff but my blood pressure is high? Not right for their criteria for an overdose.
I suppose I could write to her portal, my neurologist that is, and ask what she thinks?
That's why I have taken my blood pressure, so many times hoping it will go back down to normal, and then I won't bother... Although, my legs still being stiff after adding in 10% more medication is weird and is not supposed to be after four days!

So only one serious symptom, and this is for oral baclofen, not in the pump.
I just got my answer, my blood pressure has gone down to 135/66, so it's heading in the right direction.
Some might be wondering why one with low blood pressure would need such a blood pressure cuff system, well for ten years I was on blood pressure medication for high blood pressure and my doctor at the time recommended getting one, and that Hubby too has high blood pressure diagnosed, his being hereditary, was all for a good enough reason. Then several years ago, I had a stress test, my first, and that showed that I had diastolic dysfunction https://www.verywellhealth.com/diastolic-dysfunction-and-diastolic-heart-failure-1746171, and so I was taken off of my blood pressure medication.
They felt I was dehydrated and so they stopped the test and gave me IV saline.
I was seventy pounds heavier then.
Perhaps that was the reason, because my last stress test done in February was fine, no issues!!!
Ticker, great!
Moving on...
I have started the pretzel plastic jar mini project!
Here are my first pictures before sanding, painting, and dirtying and waxing!
And so, we must go, for now ...
I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site, that day, what she thought I should be named. And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,... some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but... as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-of-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.
I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window, so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?
Now my name of Chance is because I was given another chance, it could be only the second one or perhaps more... The animal control lady came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!
Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
