So today I went to the internist due to this silly annoying issue of sore throat that won't leave me and when it does it seems to return in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

 

I called Dr. Arturo Rodriguez-Martin, my internist, "Sherlock" like in Holmes and I think I even detected a smile under his mask.

Because with me, there is always a dilemma of what of many choices could be causing the problem... after a look-see exam, he felt that it was a combo of nasal drip and GERD! So I have another nasal spray, a sample from his office, and he as I write this is trying to contact the local stomach doctor.

I also have across the bra strap back pain that can be my disc bulges, thoracic stenosis, but once it was a respiratory infection and this time (thankfully?) it was the disc bulges, thoracic stenosis!

My lungs sound good for an asthmatic! They are clear, thanks to daily Breo Ellipta.

He has my list of stomach meds Nexium 2X a day Pepcid Complete also with Gas-X too!

I was diagnosed with GERD years ago and put on the Nexium then over the years I have had a few endoscopies and each one mentions the GERD and the last few a small hiatal hernia.

The nasal drip instead of my usual morning allergy daily medicine I will be taking Benedryl at bedtime.

Good doctors are hard to find, and I had a feeling that he could figure it out, after all, isn't there a certain amount of deductive reasoning in the practice of medicine??? 

I do have a follow-up scheduled in about three weeks.
