So I finally got to see the ENT and his conclusion after... in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

Dr. Marmol ENT gave me a thorough examination looking into my throat ears and nasal passages and checked my glands and felt that I have an infected salivary gland on my left side causing the intermittent sore throats along with my GERD. So he has put me on Keflex 250mg. three times a day for ten days. Unless it causes my stomach to react unfavorably. Then he said to stop it and call him. I also should drink a lot of water and suck on hard candies, and Hubby picked up sugar-free Jolly Ranchers for me! As well as a sale on Alaskan king crab!

So that mystery is basically solved.

And he felt I should stop the medication for ulcers and go back on the Nexium 2x a day that was prescribed for the GERD.

The gastroenterologist made an appointment for me to come in in two and a half weeks!

Sadly, they are so backed up due to the death of one of the other local gastroenterologists who has passed away, only forty-seven years old, and died October 7th. I got that much from his obituary in the Herald Tribune, a very well-liked and respected doctor by the name of Donald Garrow, he had been in practice for nineteen years. Odd that there was no mention of the cause of death. But these days they seem to not do that so much.
