Famous in my family but gone in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

 

I suppose I am not known for bragging much, but I was made wonderfully aware of again of my cousin Doris Roberts https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doris_Roberts, yes the actress who played the mom to Ray Romano on Everybody Loves Raymond. Her Mom was Ann Meltzer, my grandpa Morris's sister.

Her mom and my grandfather on my mother's side were brother and sister, so a second cousin once removed, I think?

Oddly enough, there is another quite famous person Mason Adams https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mason_Adams, originally Abrams changed for professional reasons way back when who played on Lou Grant as his boss is also my cousin on that side of the family my Mom's Mom for whom I was named Matilda, Tillie, but this time her Mom's brother's son.

In fact, his son came to my Mom's funeral.

I just wanted to fondly remember them both when the show, Everybody Loves Raymond was also remembering Doris Roberts with Peter Boyle on the Today show this morning.

I bet many of you too have someone who was or is famous in your families. Oh, what fun to research them.

Hubby has been working on it on and off and that is what is happening it is working on and off...In actuality, it is 80 and feels like 80, whoa how wild is that???
