1.We do plan our days.
2.We wait till the weekends to experience different events in the area.
3.Same with boating many times, i.e. waiting till the weekend.
4.Many times we have been known to grocery shop on the weekends too.
5.The mean age in our county is now 56 years old, it used to be forty-something.
Figuring out why or excuses why... my reasoning... sort of below.
1.If we didn't plan our days nothing would get done! Flexible planning though, after all this is Florida and the rules are different here! So procrastination is encouraged; manna. Dont worry be happy!
2.The event planners seem to think weekends are best for those people who are off from work on them, but many still work then, hmm? (To be fair though, some have been known to start on Thursdays.)
3.The boating issue is not written in stone, we have gone out during the week and often, but the weather has been touch and go recently... either too hot or too windy, meaning too big a wave chop, and stormy weather are all conditions not conducive to smooth sailing/motoring.
4.Actually, on this one we have been erratic and not at all on set times. The store, grocery, is nearly always on our way to somewhere or to home that is better with perishables, so we shop at will... wild and crazy oldies as we are!
5.This last reason is non-consequential in reality, since we were younger than their mean age when we arrived on this coast and now we are much older than the new mean age. And surprisingly many retirees live in this county of Charlotte in Florida, more than anywhere else in our country! (I read that somewhere.)
So in conclusion we are retired and you all know what that means? (We have been retired for twelve years nearly for Hubby and nearly ten for myself to be nearly exact, not quite but close.)
And that means that we have earned the right to go and do whatever we want, within reason and only when legal and never bad things ever, but with a desire to accomplish or not necessarily, and absolutely fun oriented, definitely, during the week or even on weekends! Ta DA!
