Hubby and Aussie had class today anyway, beginner obedience, this first segment of classes is over next week, it was six weeks long. The next classes are also, Aussie is signed up for four and half months plus of classes, for eventual service dog training, these are the pre-cursors.
They were gone while Bella and I had a girls relaxing day, for her and sort of for me!
We do separate the furry kids due to Aussie's loving, but overly zealousness towards little Bella, she being ten pounds and he being nearly fifty, and he not meaning anything bad. Aussie tries to pat her with his what must look like to Bella GIANT PAWS! Never ever any animosity from Aussie, because he is a lover not a hater, ever! In fact the teacher for his class uses him to tame one of her more aggressive students, a female puppy shepherd, named Luna, but Aussie brings out her playful puppy-ness in her out, and she mellows with him!
Geez Aussie still does that with the public at large, they fawn all over him. Again at the health fair yesterday he was a hit!
People had to pet him over and over again, it took hours to get halfway through Fishville that isn't really that big!
And other dogs were lovely too, except some that were older and aggressive, some people wait too late to change that!
Like with Bella, she loves all of us, but we are working on her socialization with stopping her from growling and barking at strangers, by giving people treats to feed her, and that does work! She is about three and a half and we only have her since this past August.
At home when Daddy and Aussie were gone for that about two, maybe two and half hours Bella had the run of the house, and we played and had our lunch and I vacuumed as she wandered freely, when done I could not find her... Hubby had given her a set of steps he had made and that many of our shorty vertically challenged previous canines had for climbing on our rather high bed, and that is where she landed, asleep on my pillow... that's alright she had her bath/shower last night!
Out of all the rooms she could have been in she chose ours, love it!
Yes, weekly she and Aussie are bathed he on Wednesdays and her on Saturdays, actually showered since the event occurs in my roll-in shower with a marble bench seat and hand held shower head makes it oh so easy!
And after they are dried they get three Milk Bones apiece, and are set to run and roll on all the house sofas! HA!
After that they sleep well, not that either have an issue with sleeping, they make me jealous. Hubby too is a GREAT SLEEPER!
From those statements I suppose you have surmised that I am not, and you would be correct!
Sadly looking lonely, our little gal Princess Bella now forever named due to her Diva-ness! After Daddy and Aussie had left for class!
