Humana Rx

Here's what happened.
Last month when ordering my Gabapentin I was given a tracking number for USPS.
The number stated for days that they could not find any indication that the item was sent.
The original order had been called in two weeks before, with a delivery within seven to ten days initially; so I truly believed it had shipped at least the week before.
An order for another medication made me check on the Gabapentin's ETA.
And I was shocked to find out it had not been sent as of yet; by then I had only a few days left of pills!
When they did finally tell me it was being processed and stated that it was going out then I was given its tracking number and that is when my alarm went off!
Gabapentin is dangerous if stopped suddenly and can cause seizures when cut off like that!
The very thing it is meant to prevent.
Any-who, mine was for my MS spasms and neurological pain.
So when we found that out, Hubby and I, I asked if we could get some at our local pharmacy to hold me over until the order arrived in seven to ten days?
I had to go to the their pharmacy for an authorization number for our local one, and then we were able to get a month's supply.
Crazy though after that Friday the next day that Saturday magically the unable to be -track original order one arrived!
That gave me a four month supply, and then all was okay.

Yesterday, I checked our online bank account that I check frequently, since it had been compromised a few times... anyway, there was a charge on 1/4/18 from Humana Rx for a larger than usual co-pay that I did not authorize, and they had been told NOT to do that without getting approval from me!
I had no idea what is was for so I called to find out... apparently my doctor called in a prescription for Gabapentin on Tuesday, many doctors do this in the beginning of the year and so many pharmacies just take it upon themselves to ship and charge their clients accordingly, some people appreciate this, but not me.
Though, I have requested them not to fill them, until I call for the medication they somehow never seem to get that right!
So in the beginning of the year I fall into what is called the doughnut hole with Medicare where the co-pays go up since the deductible has not been met yet in the new year, huh, and yeah.

That is one of the many reasons I had been avoiding this ridiculous issue, by ordering my ninety days supplies of medication in December so that by the time I need them again their co-pays are right and reasonable too. With my very expensive Copaxone medication @ $5,500 a month cost not including the $450 co-pay, me meeting of the deductible is met very quickly! ( All paid from insurance MAIN and non-profit FOR CO-PAY, so my cost is $0.00!)
Thus my reasoning.

So I was angry, annoyed and quite frustrated logically; first of all for charging my account without my approval and secondly due to the triple cost of the co-pay!
I told them to stop the delivery and remove the co-pay from my account, they said that they could not do either.
They sent me a return label instead, and said they will refund the monies when they receive the medication back!
I foolishly agreed, but they did email the label and so I have that, but not my money nor the medication either.
Now I am in a wait mode.

Oddly, great news, our  insurance on our home that was adjusted in our escrow has shown up now as a $19.56 a month lower payment!
That helps with my supplemental and Rx costs going up for about fourteen dollars a month, about six dollars ahead a month, yay!

Now that is it for tonight; so have a very happy one!

And remember here I speak my mind and my heart nightly in my own safe place, find yours.

So next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
