First Bealls (Pronounced bells) Outlet next Marshall's and lastly Target (some pronounce Tar-J, pretentiously), my types of shops that is since my ability to find a thrift shop that has eye catching items and with genuine accessibility that I need to peruse their items that sadly are often not that organized or are disappearing rapidly, it seems to me.
My main desire was to get out of the house and walk in climate controlled locations.
The pool is still too cool, and I really needed to do something.
Although, I was in somewhat of a search mode for summer weight dresses with short sleeves in appropriate prints, to my liking that would travel well, and a nice pair of gold sandals that were supportive but stylish, not heels, flats, similar to the Vionic brand, but less expensive and without the toe separator that always gives me blisters.
Each place I went into I scanned the rows of dresses by size and style and fabric, sadly most all were not made here, mostly in Asian countries where their treatment of people and materials used are usually not good, so we have been told.
I know, what do I expect for looking for on the cheap items, hmm?
However I don't agree.
I have found many all cotton products made here to also meet my criteria but that was then and this is now...but I am determined to continue my search!
I have time.
Perhaps Old Navy at the mall?
Or some shops at Fishville, now that they are out of season for them and when that occurs they run great sales!
I have found real bargains at this time of the year there.
I so miss those thrift stores that sold gently used American designer clothing that was always a pleasure to shop in.
Years ago I wrote an item that appeared in the local paper about thirteen of our thrift shops here in Port Charlotte and in Punta Gorda.
Any-who, I did get exercise today, but fizzled after.
Hubby was concerned when he could not get a "handicap" spot, but I bravely said that was the point of this, it was to get me walking, albeit with my walker, and so I did!
On that note of never give up, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
PS As most know, but apparently NOT me, The Lilly Pulitzer line at Tar-J was sold out immediately in store and online and was only to be for a month anyway, that is the part I did not know, I knew the sold out in store and online parts, darn! I so would have loved a Pulitzer, in a dress at least, never gonna happen for this drivel, hehe!
