Tonight is one of those nights that...

…one would honestly wonder what I accomplished today.

Sure I did manage to wash and dry a load of darks and fold them and put them away, although not totally true since the washing machine and dryer did most of the work.

Well, I did make Hubby and I a breakfast of six minute boiled eggs with multi-grain toast on the side. Yep, you see you bring a small pot of water to a boil about an inch deep and then place the eggs in with tongs, lower the temperature to a slow roil, close the lid and set the timer for six minutes, once off the heat flush with cold water for 30 seconds, and done! Perfect soft boiled eggs!

And lunch I did do too and Hubby made dinner.

He also repainted my indoor ramp to the sun-room that was installed years ago and was originally constructed by him and it was due for a fresh coat of paint.

He also checked on the dock post for the lift that had worn out, eventually all four new ones will be installed alongside the originals for additional support and that first one has been slowly going in due to a pump system devised by him when he installed the original back in 2003 being used once again! The heavy duty pump recycles the canal water for the digging of the hole, and it had to be installed during low tide and so we have the tide chart on our fridge and when the tide goes up that can help with the work too it all depends on the extent of the posts depth.

Any-who, we are in no big hurry, all the new posts are down on the two docks surrounding the lift, Number One helped his Dad get them down there on his birthday a few weeks ago, but Hubby refused anymore help. After all it is all a matter of physics getting the posts where they belong at this point.

He also has an elaborate winch system there too, boy what a neat Rube Goldberg looking contraption that is working.

I suppose it is true he had help with three other men back in 2003 that sadly have all passed away since.

Our sons have always lived faraway for most projects except Number One was here right away with all his friends the day after Hurricane Charley.

Most of the day we sat side by side reading our books from the library, mine is a Sue Grafton that I apparently missed V is for Vengeance I read all her others the first thirteen right after I had my hand surgery which consequently was like two weeks before 9-11 happened; what a horrendous year that was! I also had acquired that nasty rash caused by Shingles after 9-11, about a week or two; we all had so much stress in our lives and many still do!

Hubby’s reading Night Moves by Randy Wayne White another of our favorite authors who is local, but internationally renowned for his Doc Ford series. He lives on Sanibel.

Another local favorite is James W. Hall who writes about the keys and is also a Facebook friend of mine and many others, also well renowned worldwide!

Both genres are mystery that we love, as well as Sue Grafton’s.

To be fair there was a chill in the air here today with a high of only sixty seven degrees!

Now the temp is down to fifty-nine!

Tomorrow is not supposed to be much warmer… brrr, but sunny and very windy!

Low forties in the morning tomorrow with a high of sixty-five!

Where did Florida go???????

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

On that chillin note down here in the SUNSHINE STATE allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
