This is becoming "Gus Tales"! Or is that tails?

It is playing out like the Who’s who of Whoville?

Or is that Whom-ville?

I seem to still have issues with that tense as well as many others...

Kidding, as you can see from my photo, a shame that Hubby looked down at that very moment while Gus, the ham knew to look into the camera; well some are born to be behind it, hmm and others are just loving the new attention? Diplomatic? I think so.

I suppose though with Selfie-ism still all the rage, that is awash these days!

Oops, my bad.

I know that we are far from the techno billions with their fanciful cameras that do-it all, those “Smart” phones, we settled on the less expensive “dumb” phone, oh sure there is a camera within in it but in order to send it to your computer or to do all sorts of amazing things with it, we decided it wasn’t worth the additional expense.

Our two phones monthly are only less than $33 with Consumer Cellular, and our other cheapness and decision to not have cable satellite or dish or whatever you more tech savvy people with bigger billfolds full of loot can afford than us I imagine. Sorry! But I do know it is also a fine business tool and necessity in many types of lifestyles, but not ours. PS we have had cell phones for over twenty years.

Your choice as it is ours to make in life now for twenty years next month... We discontinued cable when we moved to this coast and the boys were full grown and on their own, also when the cable people wanted us to pay for things we didn’t want and also pay extra for things we did, or something like that! We chose not to play their games with their alacart menu.

But even like when I quit smoking nearly nine years ago, I simply cannot find where all that money I have been saving is, ya know?

And I am mean too, like most X-smokers, but not to people out loud or anything like that, but today I found myself doing the “mean-girl” thing when a mother and daughter who were as cute as buttons and bosomy as if they stepped out of central casting of one of the housewives shows came over to us at Fishville making a fuss over Gus. We left to come home early Gus was a pooped pup and on the way to the car I said to Hubby how adorable those two women were, but I noticed they were both smoking, not just hot guys but cigarettes gals, and I said to Hubby that I had two choices in my own life, to keep smoking to stay thin and die young, but real cute or stop smoking and die now of obesity, nah I didn’t say that.

What I said was due to those two women smoking they will probably die young, but very thin and pretty…HORRIBLE!

Shame on moi!

See now where was I?

This is supposed to be Gus Tales.

Yes, we did taking him on another road trip back to Fisherman’s Village AKA Fishville in Punta Gorda Florida; there are more Punta Gordas in the world too not just here in Florida, as I found out recently about Port Charlotte in Scotland.

Now that that is perfectly clear, we went there with the intention of walking for both Gus and me, me needing a healthy exercise and him needing to calm him down due to a hyperactive personality.

To be honest is charging us up to more energetic older folks, which can be nothing more than a good thing I suspect!

He constantly amazes us with his intelligence, but little bit of devilishness too.

While I was on the phone with Shared Solutions/Teva the Company that makes and supports you with Copaxone for my MS injections I needed a new calendar book that keeps track of locations for your injections…Any-who there was a mix up because I asked them to not mail me snail mail anything promotion-wise since it appears to be repetitive and I end up throwing it away due to not having room for so much stuff and so when I requested my calendar by postal card last summer and then again by phone the other day they looked on the computer and were confused as to what they should do…REALLY??????

I explained that it was for things that I did not ASK FOR!

Anyway, I was relaxing with my shoes off and Gus still in puppy mode, even at his age, started to play with my shoe and Hubby told him no and he did not listen, instead he took it and put it in one of his toy baskets!

This just in….Gus was missing in our vast home…Kidding we only have around 1K in square footage, and Hubby went to find him and he was sleeping on our bed! Yes, we are very liberal puppy parents, after all we had gotten the king years ago for how else can three dogs and two cats fit sleeping on a bed with their people parents, really? And yes the mattress has been replaced over the many years…

Now only a non-pet person would go yuck, so that info was for all the other pet parents out there! Wink, wink, you all get us…

Hubby even made a step so our little ones when older and infirm or too short to make the climb could get up easily, and since Gus is vertically challenged, not unlike his Mom, we each did our part in teaching him how to use it.

And that is another quick thing that our little smarty pants absorbed immediately and utilized, how to make a newcomer feel welcomed, ya think?
