Is a pause which those
listening expect to be broken by some significant sound or speech i.e. a pause
which is expected to "give birth" to
something significant.
And
so this is where we stand.
With
a decision imminent within a day, hours, moments, minutes, or perhaps even
seconds... dare I say, NEVER?
ON THIS, DAY 15 OF OUR GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN!
I was even prepared for the
big happy ending of all this baloney with a triumphant musical display to
expound representation of the emotions that a settlement would have on all of us, truly!
But sadly, in my mind this is
what I am thinking is happening: Republicans/Tea Party wants to know what’s in
it for them and the Democrats/Liberals wants to know how to help the masses.
It appears to me it all boils
down to selfish VS selfless!
A game of Chicken gone awry! (to play dangerous games in order to discover who is the bravest) Or the stupidest and most stubborn!
*If something incredibly wonderful happens for the
good I will break into this blog and let you all know, okay?
Moving on…
How many of you out there
live in neighborhoods where many of your neighbors do not keep up with their
yard work or even mow their lawns regularly? Well, we do and at times it is
really dreadful, when they let it go for so long … but how would you like the
opposite issue?
Yep, we have that one too, an
every once in a while neighbor, duel citizenship with Ohio, mows a few times a
week when down here, his own lawn with a very, very noisy souped-up commercial grade
mower, like no other landscapers in the area though! Its turning radius is on a
dime for he appears to do wheelies, its speed is from 0 to 50 in two seconds
flat I suspect and in design, it is boxy and of the color not too dissimilar to that
of a New York Yellow Cab!
His home is across the street
and one house over, adjacent to ours, although the roar that it reverberates, sounds is
as if it is in the next room!
A hush has come over the
neighborhood… the man has completed his task.
Spoke too soon the trimmer is
going now, which is a gas one that it too has decibels that would deafen the
loudest rock enthusiast in record time.
Hubby’s ride-on our lawn mower
too is noisy, but his trimmer and blower are battery and severely quieter than
this guys, and so much lighter to carry too!
I suppose some might say, “Well
oldster, be happy that you can still hear!”
Yep, sadly many cannot.
On that note of being
grateful for small things; I'll take what I can get…allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a
very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share
all your overages with you know who and we will too!
And next please be here or be
square, ya hear!
