MS SUCKS!

Gosh, I never thought I would be relaying that lament of my Multiple sclerosis community on here, MS SUCKS!

But sadly and surely it does! MS SUCKS!

Symptoms are so varied with this thing, many don’t get it, oh that’s the ones who don’t have it or aren’t related to someone or married to someone, or hasn’t a child or a parent that has to deal with it every single day! Yes, MS SUCKS!

Take today, I had had a bad night due to my right leg having those electrical shocks and burning sensation, all night long and numbing all going on at the same time, parathesia. MS SUCKS!

The info on this particular symptom is to sleep in a cooler room and of course we lower the thermostat nightly on the already air-conditioning setting and then I get cold! The other part is not to overdo things; like what getting out of bed, moving around the house, breathing, sitting up or lying down, watching TV, using the keyboard for this techno marvel?

YEP, MS SUCKS!

Let’s see what that word ‘SUCKS’, means to the commoner, in the U.K. it is used to express disappointment, contempt, or derision… See that is why, MS SUCKS!

Many of us think of the term ‘SUCKS’ as a bad day, a vacuum, an infant, but life can when it is marbled without health filled days and so that is why … MS SUCKS!

You know that denial thingy, it doesn’t work for MS, since just when you think that you’re going to have a free for all day, meaning less of all symptoms and they are laundry list long and as diverse as anyone may think they could be, too hot, need a cooling vest on, than off…from seeing double, harder, to not at all… to jaw pain, to dropping things constantly, from falling over to not being able to stand up at all, to balance that is so off that you appear drunk, to itchy, to lack of bladder control, some without the other end control, to numbness so severe that you think your limb is gone and when you try to use it,  it acts like it isn’t there at all, or stiff as a board, headaches that give migraines a run for their money, to spasms that make you look like you have Epilepsy in severity and on, on, on, etc, MS SUCKS!

Geez, I am so happy for Jack Osborne doing so well, he does have one of the four types and his is Relapsing Remitting, and he appears to be remitting right now. He has available to him also the best of everything and rumor has it that he did have stem cell surgery on a trip to Germany? Still we in the community are all pulling for him to do well on, ‘Dancing With the Stars’!  But people have to realize there are some of us, not as many as I would like, to know that also have benign MS or a one time symptom of it and then never get it again, did you know that? Sure you did, since you all are brilliant!

But just the same MS SUCKS!

The worst part is when Hubby feels the need to take care of me with every aspect of the things we used to share to do or I did for us or for myself, but now more days than not…he has found himself doing all of it! And YES that is why MS SUCKS!

Pity party is done for now, boy that can feel so good to just tell it as it is and why… a rant, a vent, a complaint, an education? I hope that I can provide in some small way all of those to all of us who need to know its OKAY, since MS SUCKS!

On that note of misery does love company, (not always), allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all of your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!
