The daughter of Isaac, answers, in the near future…

Tonight, I have a few topics that I want to discuss. Our friendly meteorologists seem to be blatantly expounding on the future of a familiar weather system, Isaac. Now it's not him coming back at us; it’s a remnant of his old self. And our local weather people felt that calling it the son of Isaac was funny and yes, it was cute. Although, brilliant hubby, suggested more logically, that an offspring of Isaac more than likely would be his daughter, since they alternate male-female names in the storm game and the next name would be, Nadine. Hopefully, she will just be a tropical depression and nothing more, but than she won't be named. You have to be a 40 mile an hour tropical storm to be legally bestowed a name. We can only hope that Nadine will not become one. Moving on… Well, today I had my cervical MRI at the same place I go each winter for my cranial MRI; it is less than 2 miles from my house, how convenient. The results should be in within 24 to 48 hours. I hope I'm not counting on this too much on solving my issues with my neck. Again, I awoke at that ungodly hour of 2 AM. Pain is my biggest issue causing this anomaly in my somewhat ordinary schedule. To be honest, I actually felt a little better today until I got there I had to put my neck brace on only every once in a while, but there it was bad, so I wore it in the machine. As we all know any brace, neck or back prevents the muscles from doing their job and in the long run can be detrimental to strengthening those muscles. This is the third time for me that I had to wear a neck brace, first time was when I was only 13 and had been in a car accident, as a passenger, and had gotten whiplash. The second time was 20 years later oddly enough when I was on that waterslide accident and I wore one each for my neck and my back and ended up in traction with that horrendous situation in the hospital when they injected me with that medication that nearly killed me. And then for the last seven maybe eight years due to those previous accidents and being older with arthritis as well my neck turning into cervical stenosis/spondylosis. And so even with my multiple sclerosis it makes it difficult to know just what's going on and why; so in the end result it is with the MRI to figure it all out. In the long run, I think it was the smartest thing that I could do and of course the doctor agreed or she wouldn’t have written the prescription. The only thing was, now I've had at least fifteen or more MRI’s in my lifetime, but for some reason, this one seemed extraordinarily way too noisy. And mind you, this is the same one I've been to before, how odd. Maybe the fact that I didn't get much sleep again could be the reason. I was given the customary earplugs and head phones and so I do understand why my head hurt more when I got there. These tests are more times than not necessary for the population at large with non-chronic ailments. In fact, just this week alone we received a newsletter from an organization that I belong to called H2U, which is affiliated with the local hospital, but is national, and has classes that you can go to, as well as social events, membership is just $15 bucks for the year, I think it went up, but I am grandfathered in... This month’s offering discussed just that, unnecessary tests. Although, that I have this history, it had been six years since I had this particular cervical MRI, and so it was warranted, and out of pocket too, and more cost effective than I originally thought at $325 with and without that light up your insides stuff, without it would have been $200. I suppose my social security kicked in right on time, so the amount didn’t hurt as much as it could have. That is why within days I should know what is causing the numbness in my arms, hands, fingertips and continual spasms in my lower extremities and numbness in my thighs or not, who knows. PS I am on medication for all of that already... Again, I am counting too much on the results... On that conundrum of my own unreasonable way of thinking allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you kindly to count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
