Discussions are open...

Tonight I just received as many others did a chilling pronouncement from one of my Facebook friends, “Tornado sirens are going off so we're taking cover in the basement” Kimberly. All I could do was comment, “Where are you Kimberly? I couldn't find out on your site. Worried, please let us all know how you are...” I will keep you posted and if she replies before I am done I will let you all know too, all right? Heard from Kimberly, “Southeast Michigan is under warning and storms coming through” I responded with “Are you safe now?” Waiting… She responded once again, “Yep - warnings just expired. Down wires and a house 2 miles away lost its roof. We are ok” I wrote back, “Great!”
On the less serious side, friends have posted incredible pictures as well of family and babies and even some interesting animals and their shenanigans, as well as the all tried and true and all encompassing four legged companions we all have a soft spot in our hearts for, our pets, yes I used that four-letter word. Oh no, ethics be damned... oops, I said that too!
Although, joy has been mostly the theme with graduations and births and the like; but I would be amiss not to mention that people seem to also have the need to let us all know when they have lost a loved one too, on our Facebook page also.
Occasions call for people to come together and celebrate or mourn our fellow men and women and dare I say children (for celebration is better than the latter for all especially the children), in good or bad times. And so as abstract as many may feel the Facebook has become it has proven to have become a memorial to all of life’s realities good or bad and etched forever in cyberspace. For we all know that nothing is ever really deleted; we only think it is… HA!
Who would have thunk it that a techno version of memory books would be so forever and reach so many?
May I make a suggestion?
Do not change a thing; it appears that Facebook is keeping us all connected how we wish in this day and age, with its not so much anymore unique concept.
You do know there have been instances when it has helped in saving lives.
Oh yes, people have used it instead of good ole ‘911’, but why you ask?
I have no idea, but they have and fortunately people have been astute enough to get help to the one in distress before the worst has happened.
(PS if you have 911; use it! That’s what it is there for)
Below I have copied a site from a hurricane show that was on FOX tonight and thought my friends here in Florida might benefit from it and use it for what’s for, setting up a plan before the hurricane strikes, just copy and paste: http://floridadisaster.org/
I hope that I have managed to inform and perhaps entertained you if only slightly, if I have let me know, and if I haven’t please keep it to yourself, OK? LOL!
On that continuing of me trying my darndest to lighten the load of the world on all of our shoulders; let me be the first to wish you all a happy good night and to ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, OK?
