From the sublime to all mine...

Sporadic visual distortion is like going to a horror movie but amazingly right in your own home, or room or bed, chair or mind or gosh I don’t know but it’s damn frightening!

Today, I experienced it three times and no I am not on psychotic drugs and I do not have a history of psychosis that was naturally induced that is. Oh, all right while hospitalized back in the summer of 1983 I was injected in the hospital for pain while in neck and back traction after an accident with two highly toxic to me drugs, Stadohl and Talwin which made me hallucinate and nearly killed me, at least that’s all I remember, since when they were coding me and bringing in a crash cart because of a sinking pulse and blood pressure wise, but I awoke after that! And no, it was not a dream it did happen since Hubby was there, and unfortunately so were my very young sons, at eleven and seven years old at that time, very scary for them and more than likely traumatic I am sure till this day.

Any-who, what I experienced today was not really a hallucination it was just momentary in length the first anomaly was when I was using the Benedryl topical pen for insect bites I also use it on my shot sites when they itch, well it appeared to me that the ball at the end of it that is sponge-like seemed to have sunken into it and Hubby said no check again and he did not touch it and so I did look again and it was fine. The second aberration was when Skipper was on Hubby’s lap on the couch and I was sitting in my chair across the room. I lost Skipper’s face in the respect that I had mistaken his black nose for an eye and I thought he was disfigured but he had slanted his head and all was well except for my weird visionary mistaken sight. The third one was when I was again sitting in the living room in my chair and I asked Hubby to come in to check one of Skipper’s favorite puppy toys that he still enjoys it appeared to be rolling on the floor and nothing or no one was near it. I thought a lizard had gotten in and was using Skipper’s fire hydrant, which he had chewed a hole in eons ago and that the lizard had decided to use it for his own fun, and yes we on occasion do have lizards wander in, this is Florida after all! But no, Hubby checked and nothing was in it, but how do I explain the utter oddness of these three happenings, I hear that music from the Twilight Zone TV show playing in my ear! Oooo ooo ooo ooo…

I did try to look up the problem online and consequently it came up with a multitude of eye disorders mostly cataracts, which righty has more than its fair share but with its legally blind status I don’t know how that could have caused this strange occurrence, and no not one of my choices of causes were brain or mental disorders in the whole lot, how about that?
Since it did correct itself fairly quickly I suspect it was just what I said above an anomaly? One can only hope so, huh?
Geez I have enough stuff going on!

Moving on…
Today I touched base with a few of my Facebook gal pals with sending messages back and forth and a few emails too. You know it is rather nice to clear up wrong impressions on some of those first ones and learn more about people who you really do care about…
On that note of an upbeat idea of touching base with people you want to learn more about or just get to know someone new, try the in-person visit or the phone and hearing a voice first is so old fashion you say but really lovely but then go to this technological marvel and touch base here, online, or with Skype if you got it, email if you’re like me and you don’t, or just an instant message or longer one on your Facebook page one. Human contact is a necessary part of everyone’s life and should be done as often as possible, and do it at least twice and call me in the morning! Kidding, but you all know what I mean.
And please allow me to be the first to wish you all a very happy good night and to kindly ask you to count those blessings and to share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square. L7, got it? Ya hear?
