Rambunctious

The definition of tonight’s title is: unruly: noisy, very active, and hard to control, usually as a result of excitement or youthful energy; and isn’t that just so cool?
No?
Where did that me go?
Or was it ever there?
Not really, but for maybe a night or two when I was seventeen… at fifteen I was just very difficult…
How many of you out there would have at one time considered yourself ‘rambunctious’?
Then I suppose you would have been what we lovingly called a ‘wild child’, huh?
Oh what fun you must have had, caused and were most likely a handful for your loving bewildered parents, who probably started pulling their hair out early on in those teen years that you created all that havoc in, huh?
Do you ever look back and just wonder?
What was I thinking?
Or why might have I done any of that?
Many older people do not remember just how it really was when they were in their prime, some due to drugs or alcohol use or others for a more benign reason, because they just have selective recall…
Whatever the case, life was never ever blah, although I bet that I am not alone when I say that we all had our moments of complaining to our cohorts/peers or parents that you might even have said…”I am soooo bored!”

Déjà vu when our children said that to us and all we can hope for is that the tradition goes on with the same results with the grands, children that is, LOL!
Sadly too many forget that some things never change.
I do know that for my parents it was a cue to turn on their thinking caps with ideas of what we could do to take the boring out of the boredom.
And so brilliant consults were begun and we became a think tank, fertile with creative ideas! Tons of inspiration discharged from the massive concepts in those blossoming brains of some of the many who played the game.
Boredom no more to dwell in the house that we did dwell in!
Singing songs, reading a good book, crafts or telling stories are all possibilities that might sound archaic to this high tech bunch. Going out for a car drive to see new places nearby and to become a tourist in you own land, just a few things that fit the bill.

Life is what we make of it and sometimes we must all admit that quiet too can be very nice…

And so on that pleasant thought dwelling in your fertile brain allow me to be the first to wish you a very happy good night and to all kindly count those blessings and share those overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
